Abstract

The entanglement of two atoms is studied when the two atoms are coupled to a single-mode thermal field with different couplings. The different couplings of two atoms are in favor of entanglement preparation: it not only makes the case of absence entanglement with same coupling appear entanglement, but also enhances the entanglement with the increasing of the relative difference of two couplings. We also show that the diversity of coupling can improved the critical temperature. If the optical cavity is leaky during the time evolution, the dissipative thermal environment is benefit to produce the entanglement.

Engineering Two-Atom Thermal Entanglement via Two-Photon Process

Yanqing Guo, Zhou Ling, He‐Shan Song +1 more

We study that two atoms simultaneously interact with a single mode thermal field via different couplings and different spontaneous emission rates when two-photon process is involved. It is found that we indeed can employ the different couplings to produce the two-atom thermal entanglement in two-photon process. The different atomic spontaneous emission rates are also utilizable in generating thermal entanglement. We also investigate the effect of the cavity leakage. To the initial atomic state , a slight leakage can relieve the restriction of interaction time so that we can obtain a strong and steady entanglement.

Thermal Entanglement of A Two-level Atom Coupled to Single-mode Cavity in Nonresonant System

Duo Zhang

The thermal entanglement of a two-level atom coupled to Single-mode cavity with the effect of virtual-photon field in nonresonant system by means of concurrence is investigated. It is shown that detuning frequency has no effect on the evolution of thermal entanglement in the system. There exists a critical temperature, above which thermal entanglement of atom and field mode vanishes. At the same time, the coupling constants of system have great effect on thermal entanglement of atom and field.

The entanglement of two dipole-dipole coupled atoms induced by nondegenerate two-mode thermal noise

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Мария Петровна Ступацкая

We investigate the entanglement properties of a system of two dipole-dipole coupled two-level atoms resonantly interacting with a two-mode thermal field in a high- Q cavity. We obtain the evolution operator for this system in an analytical form, and use it to evaluate the atom-atom entanglement through the calculation of the negativity. The results show that the atom-atom entanglement is dependent on cavity field intensity and dipole interaction strength. We find that the dipole interaction can produce a considerable amount of entanglement between the two atoms.

Entanglement and thermal entanglement in two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model

Kehui Song

We investigate atom-cavity entanglement in the time evolution and the thermal entanglement in two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model by means of concurrence. The result shows that atom-cavity entangled state appears with periodicity, which decreases with the increasing coupling strength between the atom and cavity; In finite temperature, the concurrence decreases with the increasing of temperature, thermal entanglement vanishes in this Jaynes-Cummings model when system temperature reaches the critical temperature, which is proportional to the coupling strength of atom-cavity. For typical experimental data, the critical temperature is on the order of 10~(-5) K.
