Abstract

The product of quantum mechanics is defined as the ordinary multiplication followed by the application of superoperator that orders involved operators. The operator version of Poisson bracket is defined being the Lie bracket which substitutes commutator in the von Neumann equation. These result in obstruction free quantization, with the ordering rule which coincides with Weyl ordering rule.

Theory of hybrid systems. II. The symmetrized product and redefined Lie bracket of quantum mechanics

Slobodan Prvanović, Z. Marić

The symmetrized product for quantum mechanical observables is defined. It is seen as consisting of the ordinary multiplication and the application of the superoperator that orders the operators of coordinate and momentum. This superoperator is defined in a way that allows obstruction free quantization when the observables are considered from the point of view of the algebra. Then, the operatorial version of the Poisson bracket is defined. It is shown that it has all properties of the Lie bracket and that it can substitute the commutator in the von Neumann equation.

New ordering rule and Lie bracket of quantum mechanics

Slobodan Prvanović

The algebraic multiplication of quantum mechanics is defined as two step operation. 1 The first step is ordinary multiplication while the second is application of the superoperator - symmetrizer. This allows introduction of Poisson bracket as the Lie bracket of quantum mechanics which results in obstruction free quantization.

Formulation of the Classical Mechanics in the Ring of Operators

Abdullah Verçin

By making use of the Weyl-Wigner-Groenewold-Moyal association rules, a commutative product and a new quantum bracket are constructed in the ring of operators \cal{F}(H). In this way, an isomorphism between Lie algebra of classical observables (with Poisson bracket) and the Lie algebra of quantum observables with this new bracket is established. By these observations, a formulation of the classical mechanics in \cal{F}(H} is obtained and is shown to be \hbar\to 0 limit of the Heisenberg picture formulation of the quantum mechanics.

Poisson bracket operator

Tomoi Koide C

We introduce the Poisson bracket operator, which is an alternative quantum counterpart of the Poisson bracket. This operator is defined using the operator derivative formulated in quantum analysis and is equivalent to the Poisson bracket in the classical limit. Using this, we derive the quantum canonical equation, which describes the time evolution of operators. In the standard applications of quantum mechanics, the quantum canonical equation is equivalent to the Heisenberg equation. At the same time, this equation is applicable to $c$-number canonical variables and then coincides with the canonical equation in classical mechanics. Therefore, the Poisson bracket operator enables us to describe classical and quantum behaviors in a unified way. Moreover, the quantum canonical equation is applicable to nonstandard system where the Heisenberg equation is not defined. As an example, we consider the application to the system where $c$-number and $q$-number particles coexist. The derived dynamics satisfies the Ehrenfest theorem and the energy and momentum conservations.

Quantization of Poisson brackets of some polynomials using different ordering rules

Ramon Jose C. Bagunu, Eric A. Galapon

The Poisson bracket of some classical polynomials were quantized using different ordering rules. Obstructions to quantization were addressed by using the basis operators Tmn from Weyl ordering, Smn from the simplest symmetrization rule, and Bmn from Born-Jordan ordering. Different solutions were then obtained using the respective algebra of these operators.

Phase-Space Formulation of the Dynamics of Canonical Variables

C. L. Mehta

Statistical reformulation of quantum mechanics in terms of phase-space distribution functions as given by Moyal using Weyl's correspondence rule between classical functions and operators has been extended to various different correspondence rules. The dynamical bracket in the Weyl correspondence (the ``Moyal'' or the ``sine'' bracket) is shown to be a Lie bracket. It is further shown that if the theory is restricted to Lie brackets of the form [u(p, q),υ(p, q)]={f(∂2∂q1 ∂p2−∂2∂q2 ∂p1)u(p1, q1)υ(p2, q2)},evaluated for p1 = p2 = p; q1 = q2 = q after differentiation, then the only admissible functional form of f is f(x) = β[(sin αx)/α], where α and β are constants. A law of multiplication which is associative and distributive with respect to addition is also introduced in each case. It gives a correct correspondence between operator multiplication and the multiplication of classical functions. The dynamical brackets obtained in each case are also found to be Lie brackets. Conditions on the phase-space distribution functions to describe pure states are also given.
