Abstract

A recursive deformation of the boson commutation relation is introduced. Each step consists of a minimal deformation of a commutator [a,a°]=fk(... ;n̂) into [a,a°]qk+1=fk(... ;n̂), where ... stands for the set of deformation parameters that fk depends on, followed by a transformation into the commutator [a,a°]=fk+1(... ,qk+1;n̂) to which the deformed commutator is equivalent within the Fock space. Starting from the harmonic oscillator commutation relation [a,a°]=1 we obtain the Arik–Coon and Macfarlane–Biedenharn oscillators at the first and second steps, respectively, followed by a sequence of multiparameter generalizations. Several other types of deformed commutation relations related to the treatment of integrable models and to parastatistics are also obtained. The ‘‘generic’’ form consists of a linear combination of exponentials of the number operator, and the various recursive families can be classified according to the number of free linear parameters involved, that depends on the form of the initial commutator.

On the Boson Number Operator in the Deformed Boson Scheme

Kuriyama, A, Providência, C, Providência, J +2 more

Concerning the energy of harmonic oscillator, a prescription is proposed for making the original form unchanged even after q-deformation. Applicability of the prescription is limited, but, it can be applied to various cases which are well known. 1 typeset using PTPTEX.sty <ver.1.0>An idea of q-deformation serves us an interesting viewpoint for the understanding of dynamics of many-body systems described by boson operators. For the q-deformation, the present authors recently gave a possible scheme in relation to the generalized boson coherent state. 1)-3) It is, in some sense, an extension of the idea given by Penson and Solomon. 4) Before entering the central part of this paper, first, we recapitulate the basic idea of Ref. 1). We treat a boson system described by one kind of boson (ĉ, ĉ ∗). As the deformation of (ĉ, ĉ ∗), the operator (ˆγ, ˆγ ∗ ) is introduced in the definition ˆγ = F ( ˆ N)ĉ, ˆγ ∗ = ĉ ∗ F ( ˆ N). (1) Here, F ( ˆ N) denotes a function of the boson number operator, ˆ N, defined by ˆN = ĉ ∗ ĉ. (2) The function F ( ˆ N) obeys a certain condition which is proper to each case under investigation. The present deformation is characterized by the function F ( ˆ N). The commutation relations [ĉ, ĉ ∗ ] and [ˆγ, ˆγ ∗ ] are as follows: [ĉ, ĉ ∗ ] = 1, [ˆγ, ˆγ ∗ ] = ( ˆ N + 1)F ( ˆ N) 2 − ˆ NF ( ˆ N − 1) 2. (3a) (3b) Later, we discuss the case in which the relation (3b) does not hold. If following our deformed boson scheme, any operator which is expressed in terms of a function (ĉ, ĉ ∗), Ô = O(ĉ, ĉ ∗), is deformed by replacing (ĉ, ĉ ∗ ) with (ˆγ, ˆγ ∗ ): Ôq = O(ˆγ, ˆγ ∗ ). (4) However, in the case of the Hamiltonian, a special consideration is necessary for the replacement

Oscillators in the Framework of Unified (q, α, β, γ, ν)-Deformation and Their Oscillator Algebras

I.M. Burban

The aim of this paper is to review our results on the description of multiparameter deformed oscillators and their oscillator algebras. We define generalized (q; α, β, γ, ν)-deformed oscillator algebras and study their irreducible representations. The Arik–Coon oscillator with the main relation aa+ – qa+a = 1, where q >1, is embedded in this framework. We have found the connection of this oscillator with the Askey q–1-Hermite polynomials. We construct a family of generalized coherent states associated with these polynomials and give their explicit expression in terms of standard special functions. By means of the solution of the appropriate classical Stieltjes moment problem, we prove the property of (over)completeness of these states.

Unified Description of q-Deformed Harmonic Oscillators

Ikuo S. Sogami, K. Koizumi

A wide class of q-deformed harmonic oscillators including those of Macfarlane type and of Dubna type is shown to be describable in a unified way. The Hamiltonian of the oscillator is assumed to be given by a q-deformed anti-commutator of the q-deformed ladder operators. By solving $q$-difference equations, explicit coordinate representations of ladder operators and wave functions are derived, and unified parametric representations are found for $q$-Hermite functions and related formulas for the oscillators of Macfarlane and Dubna types. In addition to the well-known solutions with globally periodic structure, there exist an infinite number of solutions with globally aperiodic structure.

Fock representations of Q-deformed commutation relations

Marek Bożejko, Eugene Lytvynov, Janusz Wysoczański

We consider Fock representations of the Q-deformed commutation relations ∂s∂t†=Q(s,t)∂t†∂s+δ(s,t) for s,t∈T. Here T:=Rd (or more generally T is a locally compact Polish space), the function Q:T2→C satisfies |Q(s,t)|≤1 and Q(s,t)=Q(t,s)¯, and ∫T2h(s)g(t)δ(s,t) σ(ds)σ(dt):=∫Th(t)g(t) σ(dt), σ being a fixed reference measure on T. In the case, where |Q(s,t)|≡1, the Q-deformed commutation relations describe a generalized statistics studied by Liguori and Mintchev. These generalized statistics contain anyon statistics as a special case (with T=R2 and a special choice of the function Q). The related Q-deformed Fock space F(H) over H:=L2(T→C,σ) is constructed. An explicit form of the orthogonal projection of H⊗n onto the n-particle space Fn(H) is derived. A scalar product in Fn(H) is given by an operator Pn≥0 in H⊗n which is strictly positive on Fn(H). We realize the smeared operators ∂t† and ∂t as creation and annihilation operators in F(H), respectively. Additional Q-commutation relations are obtained between the creation operators and between the annihilation operators. They are of the form ∂s†∂t†=Q(t,s)∂t†∂s†, ∂s∂t=Q(t,s)∂t∂s, valid for those s,t∈T for which |Q(s, t)| = 1.

Quantum deformed algebras : Coherent states and special functions

J. D. Bukweli-Kyemba, Mahouton Norbert Hounkonnou

The Heisenberg algebra is first deformed with the set of parameters ${q, l, λ}$ to generate a new family of generalized coherent states. In this framework, the matrix elements of relevant operators are exactly computed. A proof on sub-Poissonian character of the statistics of the main deformed states is provided. This property is used to determine a generalized metric. A unified method of calculating structure functions from commutation relations of deformed single-mode oscillator algebras is then presented. A natural approach to building coherent states associated to deformed algebras is deduced. Known deformed algebras are given as illustration. Futhermore, we generalize a class of two-parameter deformed Heisenberg algebras related to meromorphic functions, called ${\cal R}(p,q)$-deformed algebra. Relevant families of coherent states maps are probed and their corresponding hypergeometric series are computed. The latter generalizes known hypergeometric series and gives to a generalization of the binomial theorem. The involved notions of differentiation and integration generalize the usual $q$- and $(p,q)$-differentiation and integration. A Hopf algebra structure compatible with the ${\cal R}(p,q)$-algebra is deduced. We succeed in giving a new characterization of Rogers- Szegö polynomials, called ${\cal R}(p,q)$-deformed Rogers-Szegö polynomials, by their three-term recursion relations and the associated quantum algebra built with corresponding creation and annihilation operators. Continuous ${\cal R}(p,q)$-deformed Hermite polynomials and their recursion relation are also deduced. Novel algebraic relations are provided and discussed. The whole formalism is performed in a unified way, generalizing known relevant results which are straightforwardly derived as particular cases.
