Objective quantum theory based on the CP(N-1) affine gauge fields

Abstract

The ordinary linear quantum theory predicts the quantum correlations at any distance (the universal superposition principle). It creates the decoherence problem since quantum interactions entangle states into non-separable combination. On the other hand the linear quantum theory prevents the existence of the localizable solutions, and after all, leads to the divergences problem in the quantum field theory. In order to overcome these difficulties the non-perturbative nonlinearity originated by the curvature of the compact quantum phase space has been used.

Field Equations of the CP(N-1) Affine Gauge Theory

Peter Leifer, Lawrence Paul Horwitz

A non-linear relativistic 4D field model of a quantum particle which emerges from the internal dynamics in the quantum phase space $CP(N-1)$ is proposed. In this model there is no distinction between `particle' and its `surrounding field', and the space-time manifold emerges from the description of the quantum state. The quantum observables of the `quantum particle field' are described in terms of the affine parallel transport of the local dynamical variables in $CP(N-1)$.

Nonlinear Quantum Theory, Development of the Superposition Principle and Possible Tests

Yi‐Fang Chang

First, we point out that the present applied superposition principle is linear, it must be developed into a generality. Next, the linear operators and equations should be developed nonlinearly. They will include nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation and Dirac equations, and corresponding Heisenberg equation. The quantum commutation and anticommutation should be developed. This theory may include the renormalization, which is the correction of Feynman rules of curved closed loops. We think the interaction equations are nonlinear. Many theories, models and phenomena are all nonlinear, for instance, soliton, nonabelian gauge field, and the bag model, etc. The superluminal entangled state, which relates the nonlocal quantum teleportation and nonlinearity, should be a new fifth interaction. Moreover, the NL effects exist possibly for four interactions, for single particle, for high energy, and for small space-time, etc. The relations among NL theory and electroweak unified theory, and QCD, and CP nonconservation, etc., are expounded. Finally, some known and possible tests are discussed. The NL theory relates the possible decrease of entropy in isolated system.

Nonlinear modification of quantum mechanics

Peter Leifer

In order to prevent ``unavoidable'' break-down of the ``peaceful coexistence'' between foundations of quantum theory and relativity I propose a new type of a quantum gauge theory (superrelativity). This differs from ordinary gauge theories in the sense that the affine connection of this theory is constructed from first derivatives of the Fubini-Study metric tensor in the projective Hilbert space of the pure quantum states CP(N). That is we have not merely analogy with general relativity but this construction should presumably provide a unification of general relativity and quantum theory.

Quantum dynamics and state-dependent affine gauge fields on CP(N-1)

Peter Leifer

Gauge fields frequently used as an independent construction additional to so-called wave fields of matter. This artificial separation is of course useful in some applications (like Berry's interactions between the "heavy" and "light" sub-systems) but it is restrictive on the fundamental level of "elementary" particles and entangled states. It is shown that the linear superposition of action states and non-linear dynamics of the local dynamical variables form an oscillons of energy representing non-local particles - "lumps" arising together with their "affine gauge potential" agrees with Fubini-Study metric. I use the conservation laws of local dynamical variables (LDV's) during affine parallel transport in complex projective Hilbert space $CP(N-1)$ for twofold aim. Firstly, I formulate the variation problem for the ``affine gauge potential" as system of partial differential equations \cite{Le1}. Their solutions provide embedding quantum dynamics into dynamical space-time whose state-dependent coordinates related to the qubit spinor subjected to Lorentz transformations of "quantum boosts" and "quantum rotations". Thereby, the problem of quantum measurement being reformulated as the comparison of LDV's during their affine parallel transport in $CP(N-1)$, is inherently connected with space-time emergences. Secondly, the important application of these fields is the completeness of quantum theory. The EPR and Schrödinger's Cat paradoxes are discussed from the point of view of the restored Lorentz invariance due to the affine parallel transport of local Hamiltonian of the soliton-like field.

The CP(N-1) Affine Gauge Theory in the Dynamical Space-time

Peter Leifer

An attempt to build quantum theory of field (extended) objects without a priori space-time geometry has been represented. Space-time coordinates are replaced by the intrinsic coordinates in the tangent fibre bundle over complex projective Hilbert state space $CP(N-1)$. The fate of a quantum system modeled by the generalized coherent states is rooted in this manifold. Dynamical (state-dependent) space-time arises only at the stage of the quantum "yes/no" measurement. The quantum measurement of the gauge ``field shell'' of the generalized coherent state is described in terms of the affine parallel transport of the local dynamical variables in $CP(N-1)$.

Why we can not see the curvature of the quantum state space?

Peter Leifer

A new type of gauge quantum theory (superrelativity) has been proposed. This differs from ordinary gauge theories in sense that the affine connection of our theory is constructed from first derivatives of the Fubini-Study metric tensor. That is we have not merely analogy with general relativity but this construction should presumably provide a unification of general relativity and quantum theory. Here we shall discuss the physical meaning of metric properties of the projective Hilbert space and manifestation of its nontrivial physical character.
