Abstract

Exactly solvable $N$-dimensional model of the quantum isotropic singular oscillator in the relativistic configurational $\vec r_N$-space is proposed. It is shown that through the simple substitutions the finite-difference equation for the $N$-dimensional singular oscillator can be reduced to the similar finite-difference equation for the relativistic isotropic three-dimensional singular oscillator. We have found the radial wavefunctions and energy spectrum of the problem and constructed a dynamical symmetry algebra.

A Relativistic Model of the Isotropic Oscillator

Natig M. Atakishiyev, R. M. Mir‐Kasimov, Sh. M. Nagiyev

Abstract For a three‐dimensional model of the harmonic oscillator in the relativistic configurational r‐representation wave functions in the spherical coordinates r = (r, Θ, ϕ) are found. The generating function, orthogonality and various recurrence relations for the radial part of the wave function are obtained. The radial and orbital quantum numbers raising and lowering operators are defined and the dynamical symmetry group is constructed by means of the Infeld‐Hull factorization method.

Bound State Solutions of the Relativistic Finite-difference Equation for the Ring-shaped Quesne Oscillator Potential

We solve exactly the relativistic finite-difference equation for the quantum three-dimensional ring-shaped Quesne oscillator potential. Our investigation is based on a finite-difference version of relativistic quantum mechanics. So-called relativistic configurational r-space is a key concept here. We show that the radial wavefunctions and angular wavefunctions are expressed through the continuous dual Hahn polynomials and Jacobi polynomials, respectively. A discrete energy spectrum has been found. The radial wave functions and energy spectrum have the correct nonrelativistic limit. We also build a dynamical symmetry group SU (1, 1) for the radial part of the equation of motion, which allows us to find the energy spectrum purely algebraically.

The covariant linear oscillator and generalized realization of the dynamical SU(1,1) symmetry algebra

E. D. Kagramanov, R. M. Mir‐Kasimov, Sh. M. Nagiyev

An exactly solvable problem for the finite-difference Schrödinger equation in the relativistic configurational space is considered. The appropriate finite-difference generalization of the factorization method is developed. The theory of new special functions ‘‘the relativistic Hermite polynomials,’’ in which the solutions are expressed, is constructed.

Coherent States and a Path Integral for the Relativistic Linear Singular Oscillator

Sh. M. Nagiyev, E. I. Jafarov, Messoud Efendiyev

The SU(1,1) coherent states for a relativistic model of the linear singular oscillator are considered. The corresponding partition function is evaluated. The path integral for the transition amplitude between SU(1,1) coherent states is given. Classical equations of the motion in the generalized curved phase space are obtained. It is shown that the use of quasiclassical Bohr–Sommerfeld quantization rule yields the exact expression for the energy spectrum.

Different factorizations of the relativistic finite-difference Schroedinger equation and q-oscillators

R. M. Kasimov

The concept of the one -- dimensional quantum mechanics in the relativistic configurational space (RQM) is reviewed briefly. The Relativistic Schroedinger equation (RSE) arising here is the finite-difference equation with the step equal to the Compton wave length of the particle. The different generalizations of the Dirac -- Infeld -- Hall factorizarion method for this case are constructed. This method enables us to find out all possible finite-difference generalizations of the most important nonrelativistic integrable case -- the harmonic oscillator. As it was shown (\cite{kmn},\cite{mir6}) in RQM the harmonic oscillator = $q$ -- oscillator. It is also shown that the relativistic and nonrelativistic QM's are different representations of the same theory. Thetransformation connecting these two representations is found in explicit form. It could be considered as the generalization of the Kontorovich -- Lebedev transformation.

q-deformation of radial problems: the simple harmonic oscillator in two dimensions

Peter Jarvis, Timothy H. Baker

The possibility of q-deformation of known exactly solvable quantum mechanical models is considered via the dynamical symmetry of the radial problem. The algebraic structure of the D-dimensional simple harmonic oscillator is analysed from this point of view. In the two-dimensional case, q-deformed bosons are introduced for the radial degrees of freedom, which together with the standard angular operators yield the so(2)(+)so q (2,1) dynamical algebra. The corresponding Hilbert space is identified and possible q-deformed Hamiltonians described.
