Logarithmic currents in the SU(2)0 WZNW model

Abstract

We study four point correlation functions of the spin 1 operators in the SU (2) 0 WZNW model. The general solution which is everywhere single-valued has logarithmic terms and thus has a natural interpretation in terms of logarithmic conformal field theory. These are not invariant under all the crossing symmetries but can remain if fields possess additional quantum numbers.

Spin in Conformal Field Theory

Petr Kravchuk

We study various questions related to operators with spin in quantum conformal field theory in dimensions higher than two. In particular, we classify conformally-invariant tensor structures which appear in correlation functions of local operators and develop tools for computation of conformal blocks which contribute to these functions. We study the crossing equations for four-point functions using numerical and analytical techniques. Finally, we explore the question of analytic continuation of local operators in spin, which leads us to a simple proof of a generalized Lorentzian inversion formula.

A note on four‐point functions in logarithmic conformal field theory

M. Flohr, M. Krohn

Abstract The generic structure of 4‐point functions of fields residing in indecomposable representations of arbitrary rank is given. The presented algorithm is illustrated with some non‐trivial examples and permutation symmetries are exploited to reduce the number of free structure‐functions, which cannot be fixed by global conformal invariance alone.

Logarithmic CFT on the Boundary and the World-Sheet

Alex Lewis

The correspondences between logarithmic operators in the CFTs on the boundary of AdS_3 and on the world-sheet and dipole fields in the bulk are studied using the free field formulation of the SL(2,C)/SU(2) WZNW model. We find that logarithmic operators on the boundary are related to operators on the world-sheet which are in indecomposable representations of SL(2). The Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation is used to determine the conditions for those representations to appear in the operator product expansions of the model.

Logarithmic observables in critical percolation

Romain Vasseur, Jesper Lykke Jacobsen, Hubert Saleur

Although it has long been known that the proper quantum field theory description of critical percolation involves a logarithmic conformal field theory (LCFT), no direct consequence of this has been observed so far. Representing critical bond percolation as the Q → 1 limit of the Q -state Potts model, and analyzing the underlying S Q symmetry of the Potts spins, we identify a class of simple observables whose two-point functions scale logarithmically for Q → 1. The logarithm originates from the mixing of the energy operator with a logarithmic partner that we identify as the field that creates two propagating clusters. In d = 2 dimensions this agrees with general LCFT results, and in particular the universal prefactor of the logarithm can be computed exactly. We confirm its numerical value by carrying out extensive Monte Carlo simulations.

Operator algebra in logarithmic conformal field theory

Jasbir Nagi

For some time now, conformal field theories in two dimensions have been studied as integrable systems. Much of the success of these studies is related to the existence of an operator algebra of the theory. In this paper, some of the extensions of this machinery to the logarithmic case are studied and used. More precisely, from M\"obius symmetry constraints, the generic three- and four-point functions of logarithmic quasiprimary fields are calculated in closed form for arbitrary Jordan rank. As an example, $c=0$ disordered systems with nondegenerate vacua are studied. With the aid of two-, three-, and four-point functions, the operator algebra is obtained and associativity of the algebra studied.
