Abstract

A new supersymmetric model for electrons with generalized hopping terms and Hubbard interaction on a one-dimensional lattice is solved by means of the Bethe ansatz. We investigate the phase diagram of this model by studying the ground state and excitations of the model as a function of the interaction parameter, electronic density and magnetization. Using arguments from conformal field theory we can study the critical exponents describing the asymptotic behaviour of correlation functions at long distances.

AN EXACTLY SOLVABLE ONE-DIMENSIONAL MODEL OF FERMIONS WITH CORRELATED HOPPING

Igor N. Karnaukhov

A new solution of supersymmetric model of electrons with correlated hopping which generalizes those obtained earlier is formulated. The model is solved in one dimension by the Bethe ansatz. The ground state energy is calculated, and the critical exponents describing the decrease of the correlation functions on long distance are derived.

Igor N. Karnaukhov

One parametric one-dimensional spinless fermion models is formulated and solved exactly by the Bethe ansatz method. The Hamiltonian contains the kinetic terms describing nearest-neighbor hopping of electrons with different hopping integrals for many particle configurations. The ground state energy, the critical exponent, describing the asymptotic behavior of the density-density correlation function at long distances, the Fermi velocity have been calculated numerically for an arbitrary density of electrons. The model displays the condensation of particles in the case of the attractive interaction.

A New Integrable Two-Parameter Model of Strongly Correlated Electrons in One Dimension

R. Z Bariev, A Klümper, J Zittartz

A new one-dimensional fermion model depending on two independent interaction parameters is formulated and solved exactly by the Bethe-ansatz method. The Hamiltonian of the model contains the Hubbard interaction and correlated hopping as well as pair hopping terms. The density-density and pair correlations are calculated which manifest superconducting properties in certain regimes of the phase diagram.

Excitation spectrum and critical exponents of a one-dimensional integrable model of fermions with correlated hopping

R. Z. Bariev, Andreas Klümper, Andreas Schadschneider +1 more

We investigate the excitation spectrum of a model of N colour fermions with correlated hopping which can be solved by a nested Bethe ansatz. The gapless excitations of particle-hole type are calculated as well as the spin-wave like excitations which have a gap. Using general predictions of conformal field theory the long distance behaviour of some ground state correlation functions are derived from a finite-size analysis of the gapless excitations. From the algebraic decay we show that for increasing particle density the correlation of so-called N-multiplets of particles dominates over the density-density correlation. This indicates the presence of bound complexes of these N-multiplets. This picture is also supported by the calculation of the effective mass of charge carriers.

Critical exponents for a one-dimensional model of fermions with correlated hopping

Igor N. Karnaukhov

We calculate the asymptotics of correlation functions for the one-dimensional model of fermions with correlated hopping recently proposed by the author. The method of calculation is based on predictions of conformal field theory, the Bethe ansatz solutions, and a finite-size analysis of the gapless excitations. The critical exponents are given in terms of dressed charge matrix. Components of this matrix are solutions of a set of integral equations obtained from the Bethe ansatz. The effective transport mass is calculated for an arbitrary band filling.
