Relaxation of the Phase in an Inhomogeneous Bose Gas

V. S. Babichenko

An effective action is obtained of a Bose gas in the bulk separated into two regions by a strong external potential depending on the single coordinate. The main attention is focused on the relaxation of the difference between phases of the weakly coupling condensates of the different bulk domains separated from each other by the external potential.

Low-temperature kinetics of 2D exciton gas cooling in quantum well bilayer

S. V. Iordanski, A. Kashuba

We study the kinetics of 2D Bose gas cooling provided Bose particles interact with 3D phonons. At low temperatures, phonon emission is prohibited by energy and momentum conservation. We show that both particle—particle scattering and impurity scattering assist Bose gas cooling. Cluster formation in the system of interacting Bose particles

Konstantin V. Grigorishin, Bohdan I. Lev

Based on statistical approach we described possible formation of spatially inhomogeneous distribution in the system of interacting Bose particles. The condition of cluster formation in both gas and condensed phases was obtained in this system. We studied the dynamics of cluster formation in the limit case of high temperatures. We compared the cluster-formation processes in the attractive system (with short-range interaction) and in the gravitational system at the low temperatures of Bose-Einstein condensate regime.
