Coherent Landau states with gauge invariance

Coherent states for the Landau system (planar charged particle moving in a uniform magnetic field) are developed. It is convenient to use these states to describe the circular motion of the charged particle. The results obtained do not depend on gauges.

Characterization of two-dimensional Euclidean Landau states by coherent state transforms

Zouhaı̈r Mouayn

We construct a family of generalized coherent states attached to Landau levels of a charged particle moving in the two-dimensional Euclidean plane under a perpendicular uniform magnetic field. We prove that the ranges of the corresponding coherent state transforms coincide with spaces of bound states of the particle. This provides us with a new characterization of two-dimensional Euclidean Landau states.

Magnetic perturbations of anyonic and Aharonov–Bohm Schrödinger operators

Michele Correggi, Davide Fermi

We study the Hamiltonian describing two anyons moving in a plane in the presence of an external magnetic field and identify a one-parameter family of self-adjoint realizations of the corresponding Schrödinger operator. We also discuss the associated model describing a quantum particle immersed in a magnetic field with a local Aharonov–Bohm singularity. For a special class of magnetic potentials, we provide a complete classification of all possible self-adjoint extensions.

A wave-packet description of the motion of a charged particle in a uniform magnetic field

William Zimmermann

A discussion is given of the construction of wave packets to describe the motion of a charged particle in a uniform magnetic field. Examples are given of the construction of wave packets from eigenstates of the Hamiltonian for both the Landau gauge in Cartesian coordinates and the cylindrically symmetric gauge in cylindrical coordinates.

Two particles with opposite charge in a homogeneous magnetic field: particular analytical solutions of the two-dimensional Schrödinger equation

M. Taut

The two-dimensional Schrödinger equation for two particles with opposite charge and Coulomb interaction in a homogeneous magnetic field (perpendicular to the plane) is investigated. Analytical solutions are found for zero quasi-momentum (pair at rest) and for an infinite, but countable set of magnetic field values.
