Abstract

The cavity field spectrum of the nondegenerate two-photon Jayners-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium is investigated. The results for the initial fields in binomial states are presented. The influence of the Kerr effect on the quantum interference of the two mode cavity field spectra is discussed. It is found that the quantum interference item shows a periodical damped oscillation irregularly when the Kerr effect is increased. The amplitude of the oscillation relate to the difference of the two field frequencies intimately. When the Kerr coefficient χg (g is coupling coefficient between atom and the fields), the change of the quantum interference item is strong with χ. And when χ>g, it is weakly. The cavity field spectra usually take on a complex asymmetric structure with many peaks when Kerr coefficient is large.

The cavity field spectrum of the nondegenerate two-photon Jayners-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium is studied. The results for the initial fields in binomial states are presented. It is found that the Kerr medium affected the structure of the spectrum sensitively. When the Kerr-effect enhanced, the distance and number of the peaks are both increase;meanwhile every peak frequency get a rise. The spectrum structure of one mode is affected by the intensity of the other mode.Under the condition of strong initial fields, the complicated multi-peak structure like an arched comb appears for each mode.

Quantum interference in the cavity field spectra of nondegenerate two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model

Li Yue-Ke, Zhang Gui-Ming, Gao Yun-feng +1 more

The cavity field spectra of two modes field both in the binomial state interacting with a two-level atom in an ideal cavity is investigated. The results for the weak initial fields are calculated. The influence of the quantum interference on the cavity field spectra is discussed. It’s shown that the quantum interference term performs periodical damped oscillation with the changing of the difference of the two field frequencies. The periodicity is about 016 g(g is the coupling coefficient between the atom and the fields). When the difference of the two field frequencies is larger than 16 g, the quantum interference term can be ignored. Otherwise, the quantum interference term is related to photon number of initial field. The quantum interference term strengthens gradually with the photon number increasing, but weakens abruptly when the maximal photon number becomes greater than 4 The quantum interference phenomenon almost vanishes when the photon number is greater than 6.

Cavity field spectrum of nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings modal with Kerr medium

Zhang Gui

The cavity field spectra for a nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium are investigated by means of the quantum theory. The cavity field spectrum expression is driven. The numerical results for the initial fields in pure number state, coherent state and squeezed vacuum state are presented. It is found that two-peak structures appear with the initial field in pure number state. The center of the spectrum moves toward the high frequency under the regular of χ(2n-1).And the symmetry of the spectrum is destroyed when the Kerr-effect increase.Under the situation of the coherent state field or squeezed vacuum state with weaker Kerr-effect,the cavity field spectrum presents more non-classical property. When the Kerr-effect is strong the spectrum appears multi-peak structure. The spectrum structure was affected by Kerr-effect mostly. The nonlinear property of the spectrum vanishes because the coupling of the atom and field is suppressed by strong Kerreffect.

The quantum interference of the two-mode cavity field spectra

夏庆峰 XIA Qing-feng, Yuxin Zhou, GaoYun-Feng +1 more

The cavity field spectra of two-mode field both in the binomial state interacting with a two-level atom through intensity-dependent coupling in an ideal cavity is investigated. The results for the weak initial fields are calculated. The influence of the quantum interference on the cavity field spectra is discussed. Its found that when the difference of the initial two-mode field frequency Δ is larger than g (g is the coupling coefficient between atom and the field) the influence of the quantum interference on the spectra structure can be ignored, the system spectrum is only the superimposition of the two mode spectra. When Δ is smaller than g the quantum interference between the two-mode spectra is especially obvious. The quantum interference between the two-mode spectra should not be considered when the initial field is stronger.

Effects of self-phase modulation on the cavity field spectra of the nondegenerate two-photon J-C model

Gao Yun-feng

The cavity field spectra for the nondegenerate two-photon Jayners-Cummings model with an additional Kerr-like medium were investigated. The results of the initial fields in pure number states were presented, and effects of self-phase modulation on the spectra structure were analyzed. It is found that the cavity field spectra are generally in two-peak structure for each mode. With the increase of the self-phase modulation effect of one mode, the peak-space of this mode get a raise and one peak rises and the other peak reduces for the both mode spectrum.

Cavity Field Spectra of Two Coupling Atoms in a Cavity with Kerr Medium

Gao Yun-feng

The cavity field spectra of two coupling atom Jaynes-Cummings(J-C) model with Kerr-like medium were studied. The calculation results for the initial fields in pure number state and the atom in the upper level were presented.Effects of Kerr medium on the spectral structure were discussed. It is found that every peak frequency get a rise with the increase of the Kerr-effect.Four Rabi peaks appear when the field is vacuum. Two Rabi peaks become weaker until disappearing with χ/g increase. The other two peaks get the highest at χ/g≈0.7 and the peak-space increases gently. When n0,only one peak rises to the highest point, the others reduce until disappearing. The cavity field spectra become single-peak structure.
