Abstract

The cavity field spectra of two modes field both in the binomial state interacting with a two-level atom in an ideal cavity is investigated. The results for the weak initial fields are calculated. The influence of the quantum interference on the cavity field spectra is discussed. It’s shown that the quantum interference term performs periodical damped oscillation with the changing of the difference of the two field frequencies. The periodicity is about 016 g(g is the coupling coefficient between the atom and the fields). When the difference of the two field frequencies is larger than 16 g, the quantum interference term can be ignored. Otherwise, the quantum interference term is related to photon number of initial field. The quantum interference term strengthens gradually with the photon number increasing, but weakens abruptly when the maximal photon number becomes greater than 4 The quantum interference phenomenon almost vanishes when the photon number is greater than 6.

Influence of Kerr-effect on the quantum interference of the cavity field spectrum within two mode binomial initial field

Li Yue-Ke, Zhang Gui-Ming, Gao Yun-feng

The cavity field spectrum of the nondegenerate two-photon Jayners-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium is investigated. The results for the initial fields in binomial states are presented. The influence of the Kerr effect on the quantum interference of the two mode cavity field spectra is discussed. It is found that the quantum interference item shows a periodical damped oscillation irregularly when the Kerr effect is increased. The amplitude of the oscillation relate to the difference of the two field frequencies intimately. When the Kerr coefficient χg (g is coupling coefficient between atom and the fields), the change of the quantum interference item is strong with χ. And when χ>g, it is weakly. The cavity field spectra usually take on a complex asymmetric structure with many peaks when Kerr coefficient is large.

The quantum interference of the two-mode cavity field spectra

夏庆峰 XIA Qing-feng, Yuxin Zhou, GaoYun-Feng +1 more

The cavity field spectra of two-mode field both in the binomial state interacting with a two-level atom through intensity-dependent coupling in an ideal cavity is investigated. The results for the weak initial fields are calculated. The influence of the quantum interference on the cavity field spectra is discussed. Its found that when the difference of the initial two-mode field frequency Δ is larger than g (g is the coupling coefficient between atom and the field) the influence of the quantum interference on the spectra structure can be ignored, the system spectrum is only the superimposition of the two mode spectra. When Δ is smaller than g the quantum interference between the two-mode spectra is especially obvious. The quantum interference between the two-mode spectra should not be considered when the initial field is stronger.

Cavity field spectra of the nondegenerate two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model

M. M. Ashraf

The cavity field spectra for various initial fields of a nondegenerate two-photon Jaynes-Cummings Model are investigated. It is shown that the two-peak structure due to the resonant interaction between a single two-level atom and two different mode fields inside a high-Q cavity persists for coherent and thermal cases. Moreover, coherent sidebands appear for a coherent field whose widths are governed by the field statistics. However, squeezed vacuum fields exhibit rather different features showing the classical resonance fluorescence spectra at large n\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{} (even in two-photon transitions).

Cavity Field Spectra of Two Different Atoms Interacting with Two-mode Field

Guiming Zhang, Gao Yun-feng

The cavity field spectrum of two atoms interacting with two-mode fields with different coupling constants(g_1≠g_2) was studied.By solving the eigen equation, the cavity field spectrum expression of the system was given out. Some numerical results for the fields in pure number state and the atoms in the upper level were presented initially. The effects of the relative coupling constant R=g_2/g_1 or photon number on the spectrum structure were analyzed. It is found that R plays a different role in the spectrum with field in vacuum state, weak state and strong state. The frequency of one mode field spectrum is tuned by the intensity of the other mode. The frequencies of two modes spectra can be changed by the relative coupling constant.

Dynamics of the two-atom Jaynes-Cummings model with nondegenerate two-photon transitions

Eugene K. Bashkirov

An exact solution is found for the collective model of two identical two-level atoms that resonantly interact with a two-mode quantum electromagnetic field in an ideal cavity via two-photon nondegenerate transitions. In the case under study, at the initial moment, both field modes are in the coherent state and atoms are in the excited state. The time dependences of the atomic probabilities, the mean number of photons in the modes, and the statistics and squeezing of the photon modes are studied based on the exact solution.
