The Double-Slit Experiment as a Universal Fingerprint of Medium Behavior: Obstruction, Multipath Propagation, and Interference
James E Beecham
The double-slit experiment is traditionally regarded as one of the defining mysteries ofquantum mechanics. It is often presented as evidence that light simultaneously behavesas both particle and wave and that photons (no such energy quanta per SP3) somehow"know" to traverse multiple paths. This paper proposes that, if Space-Phase (SP3) is reality, the double-slit experiment is better interpreted as a particular example of a universalpropagation phenomenon exhibited by coherent disturbances in media throughout nature. When a propagating disturbance encounters an obstruction, the medium naturally createsmultiple allowable propagation corridors. The subsequent interference pattern is simplythe observable history of the medium's propagation behavior. Water waves, sound waves, radio propagation, diffraction around obstacles, gravitational lensing, and galactic-scaleconditioning phenomena all exhibit analogous behavior. The double-slit experiment istherefore not an isolated quantum mystery but a fingerprint of how a conditionablemedium responds to propagation constraints.
