Abstract

The problem of computing functional integrals in quantum mechanics models is considered. Functional integrals in models of the harmonic oscillator, double well potential, and Morse potential were computed using a neural network algorithm for normalizing flows. A comparison was made with results obtained from Monte Carlo simulation.

Application of Neural Networks for Path Integrals Computation in Relativistic Quantum Mechanics

Dmitry Salnikov, V. V. Chistiakov, A. V. Vasiliev +1 more

Abstract In quantum theory, the expectation value of an observable can be represented as a path integral. In general, it cannot be computed analytically. There are various approximate methods of lattice calculations, for example, the Monte Carlo method. Currently, an approach to solving this problem using neural networks is being developed. In our research, we calculated path integrals in several models of relativistic quantum mechanics using the normalizing flows algorithm. For fast calculations with high accuracy, this algorithm was used in conjunction with the Markov chain generation method.

Creation and Training of Quantum Neural Networks Based on Grover’s Algorithm

Andrey Vladimirovich Ostroukh

This paper discusses the possibility of creating quantum neural networks trained using Grover’s algorithm. The purpose of this work is to combine the learning process of the neural network, produced using Grover’s algorithm, and the functional structure of the neural network, interpreted as a quantum circuit. As a simple example of a neural network, to consider the concept, a perceptron was proposed with one learning parameter – the weight of a synapse entering a hidden neuron.

On the possibility of using the NNQS for the Klein–Gordon–Fock equation

A. M. Kalitenko, P. I. Pronin

In this article, we present a method for finding quantum stationary states of the Klein–Gordon–Fock (KGF) equation using neural networks (NNs). The method has been tested on two well-known systems: a relativistic spinless particle in a Coulomb potential, and a one-dimensional relativistic harmonic oscillator. The results of training the neural network for these two systems are presented, as well as the analysis of the training process. The neural network method shows a good agreement with analytical calculations (if they can be found explicitly), providing a promising approach for solving more complex problems in quantum physics and quantum chemistry.

Monte-carlo calculations for some problems of quantum mechanics

Alexander Novoselov, Oleg Pavlovsky, Maksim Ulybyshev

The Monte-Carlo technique for the calculations of functional integral in two one-dimensional quantum-mechanical problems had been applied. The energies of the bound states in some potential wells were obtained using this method. Also some peculiarities in the calculation of the kinetic energy in the ground state had been studied.

The paper considers the development and adaptation of the backpropagation algorithm for quantum neural networks (QNN). The fundamental features of quantum computing are considered — superposition, entanglement and quantum parallelism — which allows to increase the efficiency of QNN training compared to classical neural network models. The principles of constructing quantum neural networks, features of data encoding, methods for optimizing parameters and using loss functions in a quantum environment are presented. The prospects for applying the proposed approach, as well as challenges associated with noise and scalability in NISQ devices are discussed. The paper is intended for specialists in the field of quantum computing and machine learning, as well as senior students interested in advanced methods of artificial intelligence.
