Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID- 19) is an illness caused by a novel coronavirus now called as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2; formerly called 2019-nCoV), which was first identified amid an outbreak of respiratory illness cases in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. In the twentieth century, quantum physics is one of the most successful approaches in scientific progress. To theorize the concept of quantum computing Max Planck's idea of the existence of energy in individual units like matter was used. Since then, the idea of manufacturing quantum computers for everyday use is becoming more plausible with technological advances in quantum theory. A classical computer carries out logical operations using a bit which is either 1 or 0. In contrast to a classical computer, a quantum computer works with a quantum bit or qubit, which is not limited to two states only. Qubits can exist in a superposition of the two states creating parallelism. Qubit represents the state of atoms, ions, photons or electrons. These qubits which work together with a control device act as a computer memory.Quantum computers have the potential to become million times more potent than present-day supercomputers due to the presence of these multiple states simultaneously. Concepts and ideas of quantum computing have been demonstrated by different methods like Ion Trap, Quantum Dot methods etc. However, the actual realization of such a superior system is still in the future. A strategy must be formulated to maintain decoherence and other potential sources of error at a permissible level.Astonishingly, quantum computing took a long time to take off, even though the physicists have known about the world of subatomic particles. Even so, it took computer scientists another half-century to consider harnessing quantum effects for computation. Also, it was later discovered that quantum computers could solve quantum mechanical many-body problems that are impractical to solve on a classical computer. The foundations of the subject of quantum computation may have become well-published, but the knowledge is still growing. Hence here is a research paper based on the study of quantum computation.
The discipline of quantum computing, a cutting-edge area at the nexus of computer science and quantum physics, has the potential to revolutionize computation. Quantum computers employ quantum bits, also known as qubits, as opposed to classical computers, which use bits as the lowest unit of information. Utilizing the core concepts of quantum mechanics—superposition and entanglement—these qubits are able to conduct calculations that are not possible for conventional computers. To fully appreciate the possibilities and difficulties of quantum computing, one must comprehend these ideas. Superposition is a fundamental idea in quantum computing. A bit in classical computing can be in one of two states: either 0 or 1. A qubit, on the other hand, is capable of being in both states simultaneously in superposition. The computing capacity of quantum systems is increased exponentially by this capability. For example, a quantum computer offers huge processing parallelism since it can process several possibilities at once, but a classical computer can only process one possible answer at a time. Quantum computing also relies on entanglement. When qubits entangle, their states are directly correlated with one another, independent of their distance from one another. Quantum computers can now do intricate computations at previously unheard-of rates because to this phenomena. Quantum computers can factor enormous numbers, optimize intricate systems, and simulate chemical structures for drug development thanks to entanglement and superposition, which are currently impossible for conventional computers.
The quantum computer, is a "supercomputer" that relies on the phenomena of quantum mechanics to perform operations on data. Object of suppositions, sometimes farfetched, quantum mechanics gave birth to the quantum computer, a machine capable of processing data tens of millions of times faster than a conventional computer. A quantum computer doesn't use the same memory as a conventional computer. Rather than a sequence of 0 and 1, it works with qubits or quantum bits. The quantum computer is a combination of two major scientific fields: quantum mechanics and computer science. Quantum mechanics, on which this computer is based, governs the movement of bodies in the atomic, molecular and corpuscular domains, is a theory whose logic is totally contrary to intuition and it is essential to use mathematics to fully grasp it. Quantum computing is the sub-domain of computer science that deals with quantum computers using quantum mechanical phenomena, as opposed to those of electricity exclusively, for so-called "classical" computing. The quantum phenomena used are quantum entanglement and superposition. The article examines some aspects related to the development, operation, advantages and difficulties, applications and future of the quantum computer.
Quantum computing uses the phenomena of quantum mechanics to perform operations on data and it’s a huge leap in the field of computation. A quantum computer is a computational device which uses quantum mechanical phenomena like superposition and entanglement of atoms, photons, electrons. The difference between Quantum computers and digital computers is that digital computers are based on transistors and require data to be encoded into binary digits (bits). Quantum computers use quantum bits (qubits) and use quantum properties to represent data. Quantum computers can solve certain computational problems like integer factorization faster than classical computers. Quantum computers can solve certain problems that no classical computer could solve in any feasible amount of time. The Quantum Computing Market was valued at USD 89M in the year 2016 and is expected to reach USD 949M by 2025. Industry leaders are trying to develop and launch an actual quantum computer and make it available for everyone. Many companies are working in this area and are providing platforms to build quantum algorithms. There could be around 2,000 to 5,000 quantum computers in the world by 2030. This paper provides an introduction to quantum computing, quantum mechanical phenomena used in quantum computing and quantum computing service providers
Quantum computing is a fantastic technology that has been evolved throughout time and is 100 trillion times quicker than a supercomputer. It is based on quantum theory, which can do calculations using probability theory and linear algebra. These two disciplines of research are involved in all sub-areas of Data Science and other contemporary technology domains, and can answer a wide range of complex problems which even the most powerful supercomputer cannot carry out. Instead of just 0's and 1's where the classical computers encipher the data or convert the information, it works on qubit that is, it can hold up to two bits which is called as Quantum superposition where it has two different states zero or one in which it can be defined and is also possible for it to exist in both, i.e. a superposition of the two states. Light based quantum computer outperforms the classical super computer by exceeding its performance speed. Quantum computing can solve known problems such as encryption and cyber security. Quantum computing has the ability to process quickly to arrive at a solution and offers well and more computing power to the world of Artificial Intelligence systems and efficient Machine learning systems by solving small and large problems much faster. The main aim or objective of this paper is to discuss about the applications and importance of quantum computing in future which is very helpful to the people who are associated with cryptography, Aviation, Data Analytics, Forecasting, Medical research, Pattern matching, self-driving cars and so on.
Abstract: Quantum computing is a new type of computing that uses the principles of quantum physics to perform calculations in ways that are not possible with traditional computers. Unlike classical computers, which process information using bits that are either 0 or 1, quantum computers use quantum bits (qubits) that can exist in multiple states at the same time. This ability allows quantum systems to solve certain complex problems much faster than classical machines. This paper presents a simple and human-centered explanation of quantum computing, focusing on how it works, why it matters, and how it can be applied in real-world situations. The study discusses key concepts such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum gates using easy-to-understand language. It also explores practical applications including cryptography, optimization, drug discovery, and material simulation. In addition, this paper examines the current challenges in quantum computing, such as hardware instability, error correction, limited qubit scalability, and high implementation cost. A conceptual hybrid classical–quantum system model is proposed to show how quantum and classical computers can work together to solve complex problems more efficiently. The goal of this research is to make quantum computing more understandable to students, educators, and decision-makers, and to encourage early awareness and responsible development of this powerful technology.
