Abstract

A theoretical and computational framework separating accepted protocol support, record-quality diagnostics, replicated entropy moments and implementation-level bookkeeping. A bounded positive effect induces a completed quotient Hilbert space; integer density-matrix moments are calculated through permutations on identical product copies; signed entropy increments telescope along a fixed reduction. Version 3.2 clarifies support versus distinguishability, finite-dimensional assumptions, higher-order observables, finite-copy uncertainty, numerical rank, logarithm units, additive ledgers and the limits of return diagnostics. A failed chosen inverse does not alone establish irreversible dynamics, and zero entropy residual does not establish state or apparatus return. The companion provides new reproducible central-spin and 500-state SWAP checks, an explicitly defined dephasing control, the recovered historical ledger script and its rerun, editable equations and manuscript sources. Missing historical central-spin and entropy-fit generators are disclosed. The associated Finite Record Protocol Calculator v0.3.0 supplies instrument/record diagnostics, Python and JavaScript parity checks, strict validation and a reduced-state entropy-path interface. This is the first deposit of this manuscript series, superseding working drafts v1.0 through v3.1. All examples are analytic or simulated; no laboratory measurements, empirical anchor, independent Born-rule derivation, emergent geometry or thermodynamic cost inferred from the accepted effect alone are claimed. The manuscript uses CC BY 4.0. Executable software and source code in the companion retain separate rights; see LICENSE_SCOPE.txt and software_dependency/RIGHTS.txt.

APF Paper 5 Technical Supplement - Quantum Structure as Least-Cost Admissible Bookkeeping (v5.97)

Ethan Brooke

Technical Supplement to Paper 5 of the Admissibility Physics Framework (APF), Quantum Structure as Least-Cost Admissible Bookkeeping. v5.97 (April 2026), 157pp, 36 sections, 235 theorem-class environments, 59 bibitems. The supplement gives a finite-regime reconstruction of the Hilbert–Born formalism from APF's enforcement-substance primitives: complex Hilbert space, the Born trace rule, tensor products, CPTP dynamics, and measurement as record-locking, all derived rather than postulated. Headline result. The Hilbert–Born endpoint is licensed by a chain of finite, certifiable gates traceable to a single APF primitive — closed-world ledger conservation paired with no-phantom-records. The framework derives what canonical quantum-reconstruction programs (Hardy 2001; Chiribella–D'Ariano–Perinotti 2011; Masanes–Müller 2011; Barnum–Wilce 2014) postulate. Core spine (sections in order): Quantum Admissibility Condition (QAC) — produced at branch-(IJC) record-complete coherent interfaces; coherent continuations whose Boolean record-locking incurs strictly positive preservation distortion. Branch taxonomy Sepstr / Sepadm / IJCstr / IJCadm / IJCpres / Seppres with forced inclusions Sepadm ⇒ Sepstr, IJCstr ⇒ IJCadm, and explicit anti-conflation: capacity-only failure (Sepstr + IJCadm) is structurally classical and does NOT trigger QAC. Operational radical via no-phantom-record quotient — every element of the operational radical does no record-distinguishing work and is quotient-eliminable; a Wedderburn bridge identifies ϱop = Jac(𝒜) under stable-simple completeness. Finite matrix-sector representation — the faithful semisimple quotient enters a finite ⊕-of-matrix-blocks structure via Artin–Wedderburn applied to the closed-world quotient. Field selection by SPLIT closed-world composite gates — APF-complete composite closure decomposes into two independently-derivable conditions: (i) finite tensor closure (rules out ℍ structurally because Mn(ℍ) ⊗ℝ Mm(ℍ) ≅ M2nm(ℝ), not quaternionic), and (ii) finite tomographic locality (rules out ℝ via Wootters–Hardy local-marginal parameter count: 2×2 joint dimension 10 < locally-reconstructible 15). ℂ is the unique field passing both legs; the selection is a conjunction of independently-derivable conditions, not a single black-box axiom. Born trace rule ⟨E, ρ⟩ = Tr(ρE) — every positive linear functional on Mn(ℂ) is a density-matrix-and-effect pairing; trace-rule positivity is licensed by upstream cone-preservation. Gate-certified Hilbert–Born pipeline — composite meta-theorem: four gates (positivity preservation under quotient + closed-ledger reciprocity + operational-radical-equals-Jacobson + split closed-world complex selection) jointly license the H–B endpoint. Each gate is independently necessary; no single gate is redundant. If any gate fails, the framework stops at the corresponding fallback rather than silently importing quantum formalism. The derivation chain. The standard "regime gates" — reciprocal calibration → self-duality + adjoint, stable simple-record completeness, APF-complete finite composite closure → ℂ selection — are not independent postulates. They are joint consequences of closed-world ledger conservation + no-phantom-records: Tclosed-ledger reciprocity derives reciprocal calibration → adjoint from no-hidden-debt symmetric pairing B(p, m) = ∑ pi mi on a finite ledger; the adjoint is the swap partner under B, not a postulated involution. Tno-phantom-record quotient + Toperational-radical-equals-Jacobson derive stable simple-record completeness on 𝒜 = ℝ[x]/(x3), giving a quotient 𝒜/(x) ≅ ℝ that is semisimple and eligible for matrix-sector classification. Tsplit-closed-world-complex-selection derives ℂ-selection through the explicit split into tensor closure + tomographic locality. Six countermodels and red-team. Explicit countermodels for Weinberg non-linear quantum mechanics, real-amplitude QM, Bohmian mechanics, Kochen–Specker hidden variables, GRW/CSL collapse, quaternionic QM. Red-team analyses for the three paper-specific hypotheses (H1 coherent-distinction closure, H2 tensor-product admissibility, H3 spectral-action compatibility). Theorem index, dependency diagram, regime-gate certification audit table, and changelog close the document. Readable without prior exposure to the APF series. Code and reproducibility. GitHub repository Colab walkthrough notebook (one-click) Interactive dependency DAG Codebase backing (v7.5). 23 bank-registered checks span the supplement's quantum-derivation chain across three modules: apf/aps.py (Admissible Possibility Space primitive + continuation preorder, 3 checks); apf/quantum_admissibility.py (branch-taxonomy inclusions, κBool minimum, capacity lower-bound certificate, QAC, ℂ-selection uniform-defect form, Born trace rule — 6 checks); apf/closed_world_completeness.py (the closed-world derivation chain itself, 14 checks: closed-ledger reciprocity, no-phantom-record quotient, operational-radical-equals-Jacobson, positive-cone quotient compatibility, split tensor closure, split tomographic locality, split closed-world ℂ-selection, preservation-IJC obstruction, constructive commuting realization, closed read/write self-duality, capacity-only-distinct-from-structural-IJC, gate-certified Hilbert–Born pipeline, closed-world-completeness-derives-three-gates, adjoint closure of stable simple sectors). All 471 verify_all checks load cleanly; 467 PASS. About the APF series. The Admissibility Physics Framework derives Standard Model and cosmological structure from a single primitive — finite enforcement capacity — through a chain of papers plus a machine-verifiable engine. Each paper has a main text and, where applicable, a Technical Supplement, deposited on Zenodo and collected in the admissibility_physics community; the canonical engine (APF-Engine v24.3.427, 3,918 bank-registered checks) backs every quantitative claim. δ and Physical Reality

Washburn

A physical identification requires a domain of experiments, a realization, and an observation that distinguishes competing mechanisms. We construct these for the δ framework. Within finite causal quantum experiments, computable Choi data are equivalent to finite arithmetic programs producing valid instrument approximations at every requested accuracy. A separate pointer reader preserves the quantum posterior and supports adaptive composition. For the native two-atom census, the actual join update and common-mode retention select golden scaling and a signed contraction. Coherent return selects its minimal conserving completion; an independently calibrated spectral band then selects its constant interaction. A bright-mode construction and a stable short-time calibration procedure supply an explicit realization and uncertainty budget; measured duration and frequency supply the dimensional units. We derive a general endpoint identity between stored record energy and comparison imbalance, and distinguish the monotone fresh-record trajectory from coherent recurrence. The logical-to-physical bridge also has a sharp boundary: an explicit instance of the proposed completion generator has no effective value-reflecting physical reader or numerical comparison receipt. Sequence completion requires precisely the corresponding halting-oracle resource, not an unexplained scalar cost. This obstructs operational completion while leaving purely proof-language transport distinct. Native implementations of identical logical strength nevertheless carry different physical receipts. Joint covariance and the exact endpoint law state the valid relationship between those quantities. Finally, calibrated return and three-outcome tests distinguish the relevant phase and recording alternatives, with quantitative error bounds. First public preprint release, version 1.0. The files include the PDF and the main TeX file. AI-use disclosure: AI assistance was used for source analysis, mathematical exploration, manuscript drafting and revision, diagram preparation, and computational verification support. GPT-6 Astra reviews assessed arguments, scope, readability, and schematics. These were internal model reviews, not external peer review. Finite Quantum Records and Source-Inclusive Coherence Tests

Qingchun Zhang

A durable quantum record, the location of its coherence, and a uniquely actual outcome are different physical questions. We study their separation in a supplied finite-dimensional quantum theory. An explicit, time-independent apparatus couples a system–detector encoding to a controller, a distinct archive, and a finite returning source. A conditional energy penalty suppresses release of the original record without deleting its return coupling. An invariant reduction and a one-sided spectral-gap estimate yield a certified interval with archive occupation above 0.98438, controller-latched occupation above 0.99161, and filled-but-unlatched weight below 2.402 × 10^-7 in one stated design. The same record statistics admit different source-label overlaps and hence different coherence on a specified retained boundary. A conserved product of complementary exchanges accesses that coherence when the finite source is included. Given a calibrated multiregister reader, its finite-duration response separates the coherent apparatus from an independently added archive-gated reduction law, with the added process left active during readout. A conservative example retains a response gap above 0.01717 after separately stipulated one-percent error allowances. The contribution is the finite construction and its quantitative retention, access, and readout interfaces. Quantum carriers, Hamiltonian couplings, trace readout, source preparation, and the reader are supplied; local reader synthesis, empirical calibration, absolute rate selection, and unique-event actualization are not established. Paper code: CFQR-P1 (Complementarity-First Quantum Records — Paper 1). The associated bundle contains the technical supplement, editable LaTeX, numerical checking programs and rational certificates, and selected Lean sources with returned build and axiom-audit evidence. The 39 supporting declarations are partially formalized; eleven recorded type excerpts contain printing elisions. This is not end-to-end formalization, external human peer review, an experimental detection of fundamental collapse, or a derivation of unique-event actualization. Finite-Observer Martingale Record Selection

Itay Priiz

This theoretical and computational preprint integrates standard QND measurement and posterior-martingale results with finite-confidence decisions and physically retained observer records. Under a declared quantum instrument and its standard outcome probabilities, the posterior is a bounded martingale on an increasing observation filtration. A precise sufficient identification condition yields asymptotic terminal weights; a binary Gaussian benchmark gives exact mean stopping times, finite-threshold latch probabilities, and a controlled population-transfer bias bound. Version 2.3 is the first public release. It distinguishes accumulated observations from lossy current memory; assumed Born/instrument probabilities from derived consistency results; expected entropy from pathwise ambiguity; continuous confidence endpoints from discrete overshoot and unresolved runs; and Kramers first escape from endpoint readout error. It also clarifies the conditional D18/D19 persistence-selector interface and the separate D1092 finite-resource ledger, with direct attribution to established QND convergence and filtering literature. The companion archive includes the editable manuscript, PDF, equation sources, a fixed validation protocol, executable independent checks, numerical results, a revision ledger, and unchanged historical inputs. Historical simulation summaries are explicitly distinguished from new executions; some older executable sources were unavailable. The new audit includes exact finite-kernel and stopped-posterior checks, Gaussian likelihood-mixture calculations, five neutral and four population-transfer boundary-value cases, and retention/accounting controls. All examples are analytic or synthetic. No laboratory measurements, independent Born-rule derivation, measurement-problem solution, universal physical selector, or new empirical anchor are claimed.

Effective Carrier Routing, Control Work, and Stress in a Finite WRRA Model

Wonsik Choi, Jeongin Choi

We construct an effective carrier model within the Worldline–Residue–Resource–Action framework. Two conditionally independent registers encode prime-factor multiplicities. A label-symmetric equality projector controls a common source coupled to two supplied particle-pair channels. One pulse generates the earlier collision-statistic probabilities without address-dependent interaction strength. A restricted single-register obstruction and a classification of diagonal permutation-invariant effects specify the construction’s resource assumptions. The implementation reproduces species probabilities, but not the preceding interface’s coherent output channel. Bare-energy conservation holds at the calibrated reference volume; detuning away from resonance requires interaction energy and switching work. A response identity relates the reference pressure-volume moment to the logarithmic-volume derivative of mean pulse work. Composition with the implemented muon-decay kernel recovers energy and pressure histories at full conversion. This is an executable effective interaction candidate and compatibility analysis; lepton identities, weak interactions, and the full fifteen-channel carrier are not derived from arithmetic alone. Version 0.2, editorial revision of 9 October 2026. Includes the English manuscript, Korean guide, and reproducibility archive. The 123 carrier-level checks are internal consistency checks, not experimental validation or external journal peer review. The manuscript was prepared before this deposit; its preparation-time statement that no public DOI had been assigned is superseded by this record. Preceding WRRA records: r11, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23237629; particle interface v0.2, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23241511; dynamic decays v0.2, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23246308. Correction release 0.2-r1 (9 October 2026): Table 3 now states that the hot electron branch has a positive pressure-volume moment; the antielectron-neutrino overbar in Section 6.2 is correctly rendered in the PDF. The scientific model, reproduction code and numerical results are unchanged. The manuscript retains its v0.2 designation and filenames; 0.2-r1 identifies this corrected deposit. A third Astra medium AI internal review and post-correction check examined the final files. Both required corrections were resolved, with no further mandatory technical corrections identified. The review report is included. This is not external journal peer review or acceptance. Earlier statements in the guide/review about two review rounds describe the historical pre-correction state.

APF Paper 14 — Quantum Mechanics from Beginning to End — Technical Supplement

Ethan Brooke

This is the Technical Supplement — the proof-dense companion and the canonical formal record for the paper's claims. The main paper argues; the supplement proves. Every load-bearing claim traces to a named check function in the APF verification engine, and the supplement is the document a referee should audit first. The supplement is self-contained for Paper 14: every definition, proof, and grade the paper rests on appears in this one document — the substrate primitives and the marginal admissibility floor, proved; the locality and cost-uniqueness lemmas; the Δ calculus with both fences' witnesses written out; the Boolean-defender bridge with its five certified physical hypotheses and the 3-4-5 worked witness computed on the page; the gate pipeline with a gate-by-axiom comparison to the operational-reconstruction literature (Hardy; Chiribella–D'Ariano–Perinotti; Masanes–Müller; Barnum–Wilce; Spekkens; Abramsky–Brandenburger); the native correlation family constructed explicitly, rung by rung; the resolution triad set against standard thermodynamics (Landauer, erasure, environment-assisted recovery); a consolidated readings register listing every claim below [P] with its falsifier and status; a glossary mapping the framework's vocabulary onto standard quantum-information terms; and a worked end-to-end instance — device to interrogation normal form to exact feasibility certificate to priced ledger, with every tolerance explicit. A reproducibility appendix pins every claim to the APF theorem bank at a named GitHub commit and the archived Engine release (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18529115); the certificates reproduce deterministically in exact rational arithmetic. About the series. Admissibility Physics is a structural realist reconstruction program built on a single commitment: any bounded region of the world can hold only finitely many distinctions. A principle of least enforcement cost then selects, among all the ways those distinctions might be arranged, the configurations a finite world can sustain. From this the content of physics is reconstructed rather than postulated: the Standard Model's gauge group and matter content, the Hilbert-space and Born-rule architecture of quantum mechanics, the geometry and field equations of general relativity, the four laws of thermodynamics, and the large-scale budget of cosmology emerge as different readings of one finite-capacity ledger. The unification is quantitative as well as conceptual: the framework's dimensionless constants appear not as free parameters but as counts read off that ledger — among them the dark-energy fraction ΩΛ = 42/61 and the weak mixing angle sin2θW = 3/13 — fixed, in the strongest cases, to within current measurement. The core derivation runs Papers 0–11; the extension papers carry the individual sectors. Each paper's main text and Technical Supplement is deposited separately; every quantitative claim traces to a named, executable check in the public theorem bank (over 3,800 bank-registered theorems, 48 quantitative predictions); and each result is carried at an explicit, graded level of confidence — from analytically forced to structurally grounded — with the measurements that would refute it named. Admissibility Physics is offered as a candidate, not a finished theory. If the program holds, the laws of physics could not have been otherwise: they are what a finite world permits. Technical Supplement to Paper 5 of the Admissibility Physics Framework (APF), Quantum Structure as Least-Cost Admissible Bookkeeping. v5.97 (April 2026), 157pp, 36 sections, 235 theorem-class environments, 59 bibitems. The supplement gives a finite-regime reconstruction of the Hilbert–Born formalism from APF's enforcement-substance primitives: complex Hilbert space, the Born trace rule, tensor products, CPTP dynamics, and measurement as record-locking, all derived rather than postulated. Headline result. The Hilbert–Born endpoint is licensed by a chain of finite, certifiable gates traceable to a single APF primitive — closed-world ledger conservation paired with no-phantom-records. The framework derives what canonical quantum-reconstruction programs (Hardy 2001; Chiribella–D'Ariano–Perinotti 2011; Masanes–Müller 2011; Barnum–Wilce 2014) postulate. Core spine (sections in order): Quantum Admissibility Condition (QAC) — produced at branch-(IJC) record-complete coherent interfaces; coherent continuations whose Boolean record-locking incurs strictly positive preservation distortion. Branch taxonomy Sepstr / Sepadm / IJCstr / IJCadm / IJCpres / Seppres with forced inclusions Sepadm ⇒ Sepstr, IJCstr ⇒ IJCadm, and explicit anti-conflation: capacity-only failure (Sepstr + IJCadm) is structurally classical and does NOT trigger QAC. Operational radical via no-phantom-record quotient — every element of the operational radical does no record-distinguishing work and is quotient-eliminable; a Wedderburn bridge identifies ϱop = Jac(𝒜) under stable-simple completeness. Finite matrix-sector representation — the faithful semisimple quotient enters a finite ⊕-of-matrix-blocks structure via Artin–Wedderburn applied to the closed-world quotient. Field selection by SPLIT closed-world composite gates — APF-complete composite closure decomposes into two independently-derivable conditions: (i) finite tensor closure (rules out ℍ structurally because Mn(ℍ) ⊗ℝ Mm(ℍ) ≅ M2nm(ℝ), not quaternionic), and (ii) finite tomographic locality (rules out ℝ via Wootters–Hardy local-marginal parameter count: 2×2 joint dimension 10 < locally-reconstructible 15). ℂ is the unique field passing both legs; the selection is a conjunction of independently-derivable conditions, not a single black-box axiom. Born trace rule ⟨E, ρ⟩ = Tr(ρE) — every positive linear functional on Mn(ℂ) is a density-matrix-and-effect pairing; trace-rule positivity is licensed by upstream cone-preservation. Gate-certified Hilbert–Born pipeline — composite meta-theorem: four gates (positivity preservation under quotient + closed-ledger reciprocity + operational-radical-equals-Jacobson + split closed-world complex selection) jointly license the H–B endpoint. Each gate is independently necessary; no single gate is redundant. If any gate fails, the framework stops at the corresponding fallback rather than silently importing quantum formalism. The derivation chain. The standard "regime gates" — reciprocal calibration → self-duality + adjoint, stable simple-record completeness, APF-complete finite composite closure → ℂ selection — are not independent postulates. They are joint consequences of closed-world ledger conservation + no-phantom-records: Tclosed-ledger reciprocity derives reciprocal calibration → adjoint from no-hidden-debt symmetric pairing B(p, m) = ∑ pi mi on a finite ledger; the adjoint is the swap partner under B, not a postulated involution. Tno-phantom-record quotient + Toperational-radical-equals-Jacobson derive stable simple-record completeness on 𝒜 = ℝ[x]/(x3), giving a quotient 𝒜/(x) ≅ ℝ that is semisimple and eligible for matrix-sector classification. Tsplit-closed-world-complex-selection derives ℂ-selection through the explicit split into tensor closure + tomographic locality. Six countermodels and red-team. Explicit countermodels for Weinberg non-linear quantum mechanics, real-amplitude QM, Bohmian mechanics, Kochen–Specker hidden variables, GRW/CSL collapse, quaternionic QM. Red-team analyses for the three paper-specific hypotheses (H1 coherent-distinction closure, H2 tensor-product admissibility, H3 spectral-action compatibility). The 39 supporting declarations are partially formalized; eleven recorded type excerpts contain printing elisions.
