Quantum-Inspired Constraint Satisfaction with Adaptive Relaxation
Jincheng Zhang
Abstract
This paper introduces a novel constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) solver employing quantum-inspired probabilistic modeling for adaptive relaxation. Traditional CSP solvers often rely on static relaxation strategies, which can be inefficient for complex problems. We propose a dynamic relaxation scheme that leverages quantum-like probabilities to iteratively refine constraints, thereby improving solution quality and reducing computational cost. The core mechanism focuses on a probabilistic relaxation that adjusts to the problem's state, offering enhanced robustness and adaptability. The integration of these probabilistic elements addresses limitations of static relaxation methods, potentially unveiling more effective solutions. This research explores the potential of quantum-inspired modeling to enhance the performance of CSP solvers.
