Title: Non-Local Constraint Satisfaction via Quantum Entanglement
Jincheng Zhang
Abstract
The field of constraint satisfaction problems (CSPs) presents a significant challenge in computer science, demanding exhaustive search to find feasible solutions. Classical algorithms struggle to efficiently explore the vast solution space, particularly for large and intricate CSPs. This research proposes a novel approach utilizing quantum entanglement to overcome these limitations, introducing a 'Quantum Resonance' mechanism that enables near-instantaneous exploration of solution configurations. Quantum entanglement provides a unique mechanism for creating probabilistic exploration of potential solutions, bypassing the limitations of classical search. We outline a framework for solving CSPs using this quantum entanglement-based approach, demonstrating its potential to drastically accelerate solution discovery. This work presents a new theoretical basis and preliminary implementation of a quantum algorithm designed to tackle complex CSPs. The core mechanism leverages entanglement to amplify promising solutions, offering a pathway to near-instantaneous exploration beyond classical computational limits. The paper details the design of the Quantum Resonance principle, and presents the results of initial experiments demonstrating the algorithm's efficacy in solving a subset of benchmark CSPs. Further investigation into the algorithm's scalability and potential for wider applicability is planned.
