Title: Information-Based Constraint Satisfaction – The Quantum Constraint Field
Jincheng Zhang
Abstract
This paper investigates a novel approach to constraint satisfaction problems, leveraging quantum entanglement to achieve optimal solutions without explicit computation. Traditional methods, often reliant on exhaustive search or complex optimization algorithms, are computationally expensive and struggle with complex problems. We propose a 'Quantum Constraint Field' – a quantum state representing constraints – that enables efficient exploration of the solution space, potentially offering a significant advancement over existing techniques. The core mechanism involves encoding constraints within a quantum state and using entanglement to facilitate rapid, probabilistic solution exploration. This work explores the theoretical foundations and potential practical applications of this quantum constraint field, aiming to identify a paradigm shift in how constraint satisfaction problems are addressed. The paper presents a detailed conceptual framework and outlines a preliminary investigation into the feasibility of using entanglement for efficient constraint satisfaction.
