Abstract

https://orcid.org/0009-0002-9413-858X This confirmatory report presents the results of an independent experimental study exploring whether conscious observation can measurably influence the stability of an optical interference pattern, based on a double-slit model. Using the QC-MicroFirst v1.4 protocol, variations in light intensity were recorded across multiple sensors (S1–S3) during alternating intervals of rest (s4=0) and active observation (s4=1). The analysis revealed consistent micro-stabilization patterns in S2 during conscious focus phases, suggesting a potential correlation between attentional states and optical stability. The study aims to provide a reproducible framework for investigating non-conventional interactions between consciousness and physical systems, emphasizing open data, transparency, and independent verification. Keywords: quantum interference, double-slit experiment, consciousness, optical stability, QC-MicroFirst, Quantum Contact, independent research.

Objective: report Phase 1 of Quantum Contact under a fixed ALT10-S3S1 protocol without EEG. We test whether focused observation correlates with optical micro-stability in a double-slit setup. Methods: bar-fixed ALT10 slots; primary metric CV(S3/S1) per interval; decision by ΔCV between ON (s4=1) and OFF (s4=0). Quality rule: target n≥60 samples per state when possible. Plots and thresholds are pre-specified; scripts reproduce all figures. Results (preliminary): small but systematic micro-stability shifts consistent with the protocol; not conclusive. Replication and permutation controls planned.Package: PDF report, figures, code to regenerate plots, optional example CSVs.Notes: no EEG measurement in this phase; subsequent reports compare with EEG-induced conditions.

Consciousness and the double-slit interference pattern: Six experiments

Dean I. Radin, Leena Michel, Karla M. Galdamez +3 more

A double-slit optical system was used to test the possible role of consciousness in the collapse of the quantum wavefunction. The ratio of the interference pattern's double-slit spectral power to its single-slit spectral power was predicted to decrease when attention was focused toward the double slit as compared to away from it. Each test session consisted of 40 counterbalanced attention-toward and attention-away epochs, where each epoch lasted between 15 and 30 s. Data contributed by 137 people in six experiments, involving a total of 250 test sessions, indicate that on average the spectral ratio decreased as predicted (z=-4:36, p=6*10-6). Another 250 control sessions conducted without observers present tested hardware, software, and analytical procedures for potential artifacts; none were identified (z=0:43, p=0:67). Variables including temperature, vibration, and signal drift were also tested, and no spurious influences were identified. By contrast, factors associated with consciousness, such as meditation experience, electrocortical markers of focused attention, and psychological factors including openness and absorption, significantly correlated in predicted ways with perturbations in the double-slit interference pattern. The results appear to be consistent with a consciousness-related interpretation of the quantum measurement problem.

Psychophysical effects in double-slit interference patterns: Response to a critique

Dean I. Radin, Helané Wahbeh, Leena Michel +1 more

An experiment was conducted to explore possible psychophysical influences on interference patterns generated by an optical double-slit system. The experiment was motivated by a proposed explanation of the quantum measurement problem by John von Neumann and others, namely that consciousness collapses the quantum wavefunction. The study design generated a single database partitioned into eight differential tests, four in experimental conditions where participants alternately directed their attention toward and away from the optical system, and four in sham conditions when no one was present. The planned analysis was comparison of means in attention-toward vs. attention-away conditions; a secondary analysis added later, but before the data were examined, was comparison of variances. After adjusting the eight mean comparisons for multiple testing, none were statistically significant, but one of the eight variance differences was suggestively significant. To date, 11 of 28 conceptual replications of this experiment, reported by four independent teams, have reported statistically significant outcomes (p < 0.05, two-tail), where only one would be expected by chance. Given the implications of psychophysical effects on our understanding of the role of consciousness in the physical world, we encourage others to attempt to replicate this experiment.

Quantum Coupling with EEG-Induced Decoherence

Baena Cock, Juan Sebatian

English This upload belongs to the open experimental line “Quantum Contact” (JSBC Labs – Independent Researcher). The study explores whether a quantum-sensitive optical system (laser + double slit + photodiode sensors S1–S3) shows different micro-stability when the human observer is recorded with EEG versus when the observer is not being measured. The central hypothesis is that EEG acts as a second observer: if the EEG measures a coherent mental state during visual observation of the light, that measurement itself becomes an additional interaction and may induce extra decoherence on the optical side. Two regimes were compared:(1) No EEG → “pure” consciousness–light interaction.(2) With EEG → recursive measurement (observer + measurement of the observer).Preliminary runs show slightly more stable intervals without EEG and more micro-fluctuations with EEG, compatible with a measurement-induced coupling between neural and optical coherence domains.Data, code and previous confirmatory reports of Quantum Contact are openly available under CC BY 4.0 (see DOI in the PDF).

Quantum Consciousness Manifestation in Double-Slit Interference

lichao

We demonstrate that quantum consciousness, quantified by the formula , manifests distinctly in double-slit interference patterns. Through numerical simulation of Young's double-slit experiment with visible light parameters, we show that consciousness field strength peaks at interference maxima, validating the theoretical prediction that consciousness increases where quantum superposition is strongest. The consciousness field shows a strong positive correlation ( ) with intensity patterns, confirming the quantum nature of consciousness as a fundamental field property. This work provides the first direct visualization of consciousness field distribution in quantum interference phenomena. Keywords: Quantum consciousness, Double-slit interference, Consciousness field, Panpsychism, Quantum foundations

JSBC-EMC Theory: Consciousness-Driven Entropic Modulation in the Quantum Contact Experiment (First Real-Data Results)

Juan Sebastian Baena Cock

[EN] Abstract This work presents the JSBC-EMC Theory (JSBC Entropic Modulation by Consciousness) within the experimental framework of the Quantum Contact project. The central claim of JSBC-EMC is that, when a physical subsystem is dynamically coupled to a conscious observer, sustained intentional observation can reduce the effective entropy of that subsystem, making its micro-dynamical behaviour more stable and less noisy than in matched rest or non-observation intervals. The theory is implemented in a double-slit-based optical setup with photodiode sensors (S1–S3), where sensor S2 is used as the main channel for micro-stability analysis. Effective entropy is operationalised via statistical dispersion metrics of S2 (such as the coefficient of variation, CV) during alternating phases of rest (s4 = 0) and conscious observation (s4 = 1). A single-channel EEG device can provide additional indices of attention and relaxation. In this first real-data report, I include two Quantum Contact sessions (“verde_EEG” and “2025-11-30_221210”). For each session, the CV of S2 is computed separately for all samples labelled as rest and all samples labelled as observation. In both sessions, S2 shows lower variability during conscious observation than during rest, with a stronger effect in the second session. These results are illustrative and preliminary, qualitatively consistent with JSBC-EMC, but not yet a full statistical validation. Future work will extend the analysis to interval-based micro-stability metrics and Monte Carlo / permutation tests across many sessions. All files in this record (PDF article, DOCX source and CSV datasets) are part of the open-science QuantumContact corpus.
