From a Three-Condition Pre-Generative Structure to Eight Quantum Processes, Hidden Binary Structure, and Binary Observation: The Yuan-Eight-Binary Unified Physical Hypothesis
This preprint proposes a strong-form, falsifiable four-layer physical hypothesis in which ordinary binary outcomes are coarse-grained projections of deeper physical organization. The Yuan pre-generative layer consists of three jointly necessary conditions: a carrier/possibility domain, boundary and constraint conditions, and internal coupling/organizational relations. Their joint realization is hypothesized to generate eight physically distinguishable quantum process sectors. In the strong form, these sectors are organized as four relational directions and two orientations with a D4-type composition structure. The generative layer projects into a hidden-binary structural layer containing ordered complementary pairs 01/10, A/B/C/D source or directional labels, an independent orientation attribute, and a 3-to-6-to-96 fine-grained relational record space, before conventional measurement coarse-grains the structure to 0/1. The hypothesis is deliberately frozen before experimental validation. It predicts recoverable hidden information beneath identical binary outcomes, a minimal eight-process description, D4 noncommutative composition fingerprints, resolvable fine-grained relational records, necessity of the three Yuan conditions, and cross-platform consistency. The next stage is a preregistered experimental program designed to support, modify, or falsify each layer independently.

This paper proposes an exploratory “3–8–2” hierarchical generative framework designed to distinguish three different logical layers: a necessary-condition layer, a generative-process layer, and an observational-output layer. The current working hypothesis is: 3\ \text{necessary conditions}\rightarrow8\ \text{candidate generative processes}\rightarrow2\ \text{binary observational outcomes}. At the first layer, “Yuan” is provisionally defined as the minimal closed condition structure formed by three mutually irreducible and jointly necessary conditions. The number 3 therefore refers to the number of necessary conditions rather than to a number of physical states. At the second layer, the number 8 refers to eight candidate generative processes, process configurations, or generative pathways that may emerge once the necessary conditions are satisfied. Their precise mathematical origin and physical interpretation remain open. In particular, this framework does not assume that these eight processes correspond to an established eight-state quantum ontology. At the third layer, the number 2 refers to binary observational outcomes, represented as 0/1, obtained through coarse-graining, projection, or limited observational resolution. These binary outputs are therefore treated as observational results rather than as evidence that the underlying ontology is fundamentally binary. The aim of this work is not to claim a new physical ontology, but to formulate a testable hierarchical research framework that clearly separates the conditions required for a process to exist, the mechanisms through which structures or processes are generated, and the outcomes accessible to observation. The central open problem is to identify the three irreducible necessary conditions that constitute “Yuan” and to determine whether the minimum number of such conditions is genuinely three rather than two, four, or more. At its present stage, the proposed framework should be regarded as a working hypothesis and structural research program. Its possible connections to quantum processes, hidden structures, and physical realizations remain open and unproven.
This protocol converts the strong-form Yuan–Eight–Binary Unified Physical Hypothesis into a staged, falsification-first experimental validation program. The theory baseline is Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22248366. The protocol separates four levels—Yuan pre-generative conditions, eight quantum/generative processes, hidden binary relational structure, and ordinary 0/1 observation—and defines E01–E11 experimental cards with explicit prerequisites, observables, PASS/FAIL rules, confound controls, and maximum permissible conclusions. It also introduces an S0–S6 evidence ladder so that a positive result at a lower layer cannot be used as proof of a higher layer. The protocol is platform-portable and is intended to be instantiated through device-specific preregistration annexes for quantum photonic, superconducting, trapped-ion/atomic, or other controllable quantum systems. The central unresolved quantitative task is the platform-specific bridge F(Ω,B,C)→G8, which must be frozen before the E10 bridge experiment is run.
This work proposes a conceptual framework for connecting quantum closure structures, local observation, fine-grained binary records, and conventional binary coarse-graining. At the binary level, the framework introduces a structural representation distinct from ordinary ordered binary notation. The states 00, 11, and \{01,10\} are first grouped into three basic relational classes. Adding a positive/reverse distinction produces six states. Assigning one of four source labels, A, B, C, or D, to each of the two binary positions further generates 3\times2\times4\times4=96 labeled structural states. These 96 states are interpreted as a fine-grained record space rather than as 96 new conventional binary values. A separate quantum-level hypothesis is then introduced. In this candidate model, externally observed quantum values 0 and 1 are associated with complementary internal closure structures represented as 01 and 10. The labels A,B,C,D refer to four correlated positions or orientations within a single closed structure rather than to independent binary labels. Local observation of such a structure may yield source-labeled outcomes such as 0^A or 1^B. Repeated local observations generate source-labeled binary sequences, while conventional binary representation is obtained after discarding source, orientation, and positive/reverse information. The framework distinguishes microscopic structural complementarity from macroscopic statistical balance. A closed microscopic structure may be exactly complementary, while short binary observation sequences may still contain arbitrary local concentrations such as 0000 or 1111. Under symmetric and unbiased sampling conditions, long-run binary statistics may approach balance without requiring local balance at every observation step. The work also introduces a dual-projection viewpoint. The same underlying binary object can be represented through different observational rules. Conventional ordered observation yields the familiar four states 00,01,10,11, whereas relational observation yields the three classes 00, 11, and \{01,10\}, which may then be refined into the 3\rightarrow6\rightarrow96 hierarchy. These descriptions are treated as different coarse-grainings or projections of the same underlying object rather than as mutually exclusive binary systems. The 3\rightarrow6\rightarrow96 construction is presented here as a formally defined representational structure. By contrast, the proposed quantum 01/10 internal closure, the physical meaning of the A,B,C,D orientations, and any claimed quantum-to-binary correspondence remain hypotheses requiring mathematical formalization and experimental testing. Future work will focus on formal mathematical modeling, exhaustive state analysis, numerical simulation, comparison with standard quantum-mechanical predictions, falsifiable experimental protocols, and possible applications in quantum readout, feedback control, error diagnosis, and information processing. Version v0.1 is intended to establish a time-stamped record of the original hypothesis, definitions, conceptual boundaries, and research roadmap. It does not claim experimental confirmation of the proposed internal quantum structure.
This structural preprint freezes an intermediate layer in a downward research decomposition. It separates an admissible pre-projection state structure, dynamical flow, observation/coarse-graining maps, and finite readouts. A planar relational-rotation benchmark shows that finite binary, eight-class, or twelve-sector readouts need not be identified with the dimension or ontology of the admissible state space. Common absolute orientation cancels from purely relational angle observables. The note explicitly does not claim a hidden-variable model, a new quantum state space, or a final ontology. It defines transition-relation reconstruction and discrete-versus-continuous symmetry as the next death gates.
This conservative preprint formalizes a candidate directional closure structure beneath ordinary binary quantum readout. A handwritten sixteen-face table is transcribed into eight complementary closure pairs: at each of four ordered slots, the paired faces preserve the direction label and complement the binary value. The accompanying inversion audit shows that a single value-plus-direction label, such as 0_A, does not uniquely reconstruct a closure pair; a second independent readout or a frozen dynamical rule is required. The paper proves the standard same-state indistinguishability boundary: if distinct preparation histories yield the same density operator and all subsequent operations are path-independent completely positive trace-preserving maps and POVM measurements, no path-dependent signal can occur. It then defines three staged experimental protocols and their conventional adversaries, including process memory, leakage, state-preparation-and-measurement error, and drift. This record is an openly testable hypothesis and experimental protocol. It does not claim observation of sub-quantum constituents, discovery of new quantum states, or a replacement for standard quantum mechanics.```
This structural preprint freezes the current lower boundary reached in a continuing coarse-to-fine research program on observation, distinguishability, probability, admissible state spaces, dynamics, and finite readout. The paper introduces the provisional Chinese term Yuan (元) solely as a low-commitment placeholder for the presently unresolved side of the first expressible distinction. Yuan is not proposed as a state, object, field, observer, intrinsic capacity, or physical entity, and its existence is not asserted. The first layer that can currently be formalized is a relational distinction: a test, comparison, interaction, or reference yields at least two operationally different responses. From this layer the paper freezes a chain through primitive cut, event algebra, observer/test family, probability envelope, observer-resolution refinement, latent-state disclosure, relational/admissible state structure, dynamics/flow, projection/coarse-graining, and finite readout. The operational descriptive horizon is placed between Yuan and the first mathematically expressible relational distinction. Below that horizon, assigning a property to Yuan already reintroduces a distinction; above it, distinctions can be represented and tested. The horizon is therefore a limit of present descriptive resolution, not a claim that reality ends there. Quantum coherent superposition remains PARKED / UNMAPPED, and an observer-independent unique-actual-state hypothesis remains OPEN / UNPROVEN. The next phase is upward validation: refine observation or intervention and test whether a coarse equivalence class can be split into substructures with independently measurable responses.
