Abstract

Information and the Three Worlds View in Science and the BibleThis article develops a three-worlds perspective in which information provides a conceptual link between the physical, mental/quantum, and timeless worlds. Drawing on Wheeler, Zeilinger, Penrose, and biblical sources, it is proposed that a photon, prior to absorption, may be regarded as one bit of information in its eigen-world. A gedankenexperiment with a double slit and a photodetector is used to associate the absorption interval with one optical period and to interpret Planck’s relation E = hν as E = h i₁, where i₁ is the elementary information flux. The article then extends this interpretation to complex information fluxes and proposes the hypothesis that an information flux I has an energy equivalent E = Ih, with positive information flux corresponding to negative energy. This leads to the generalized conservation expression E + mc² + Ih = constant. An experimental test is proposed: measure the repulsive force between two optical fibers carrying a high-rate information flux. As information flux computer software with low redundancy may be used and a fully redundant signal as control. The feasibility of such an experiment using the current technology is demonstrated. The proposal is intended as a falsifiable experimental test of the hypothesized equivalence between information flux and energy.

Information Physics—Towards a New Conception of Physical Reality

Philip Goyal

The concept of information plays a fundamental role in our everyday experience, but is conspicuously absent in framework of classical physics. Over the last century, quantum theory and a series of other developments in physics and related subjects have brought the concept of information and the interface between an agent and the physical world into increasing prominence. As a result, over the last few decades, there has arisen a growing belief amongst many physicists that the concept of information may have a critical role to play in our understanding of the workings of the physical world, both in more deeply understanding existing physical theories and in formulating of new theories. In this paper, I describe the origin of the informational view of physics, illustrate some of the work inspired by this view, and give some indication of its implications for the development of a new conception of physical reality.

E=mc²=i, the entangled pair: dated predictions for the mass of one ebit and for the moment the teleportation heat appears

Stefan Kooijman

Dated predictions, registered before any experiment designed to test them. This is the author's hypothesis. It is not proven, it is not established physics, and it is not a theory of everything. Every prediction lies below the sensitivity of current experiments, so a null result at today's sensitivity neither supports nor refutes it. Building on E=mc²=i (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23415364), where one bit carries the mass of its Landauer energy, kT ln 2 / c², this record applies that formula to an entangled pair. By the author's choice, one maximally entangled pair (one ebit) carries n = 1 bit, held by the relation between the halves, not by either half: 3.2 × 10⁻³⁸ kg at 300 K. Six pair predictions follow (EP1 to EP6: weigh the pair, drop the pair, heat at the detectors, the pair as fuel, locked bits in silicon against the entangled pair, and superdense coding), each set against what standard physics predicts. It also registers P12: the 2 kT ln 2 of heat per teleportation (E=mc²=i P7, cited unchanged) appears at the moment of the Bell-state measurement, even while the outcome record is kept and never erased. A delayed-erasure test is proposed that separates the measurement moment from the record erasure. Open questions are stated as open. Foundation: this record builds on the author's earlier record E=mc²=i (all versions: DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23414461), which is itself untested. Its predictions hold only if E=mc²=i holds; a confirmation of E=mc²=i would not by itself confirm the choice n = 1. Falsifier, stated plainly: no excess mass (n = 0) is the result that proves the entangled-pair claim wrong. Prior work: Melvin M. Vopson's mass-energy-information equivalence principle, a stored bit with mass kT ln 2 / c² (Vopson 2019, AIP Advances 9, 095206; test protocol Vopson 2022, AIP Advances 12, 035311), proposed and not yet confirmed. This record shares that vision from another perspective: the bit held by the relation in an entangled pair, one shared bit, rather than by a memory. Bits = quanta is an author's postulate used within the E=mc²=i framework and should not be interpreted as a statement of established quantum information theory.

Physical Reality and Information - Three Hypotheses

Gerd Niestegge

Since its emergence, quantum mechanics has been a challenge for an understanding of reality which is based on our intuition in a classical world. Nevertheless, it has often been tried to impose this understanding of reality on quantum theory - with limited success. Instead, it might be a better alternative to redefine the meaning of physical reality. This is the objective of the paper. A consideration of the quantum measurement process, conditional probabilities and some well-known typical quantum physical experiments provides the reasoning for the following three hypotheses: (1) Prior to a first measurement, a physical system is not in a quantum state. (2) Physical reality is all that and only that about which (classical) information is available in the universe. (3) Information creation is an independent process and is not covered by the Schroedinger equation. It is the first step of the quantum measurement process and does not have a classical counterpart. The first hypothesis makes sense only if the quantum measurement process can be described without presupposing an initial state for the system under consideration. This becomes possible by the objective conditional probabilities which represent the transition probabilities between the outcomes of successive quantum measurements and have been introduced by the author in some recent papers. The second hypothesis holds as well in the classical case, but a certain incompleteness of reality is typical of quantum mechanics and the origin of many quantum phenomena. Classically, the existence of a complete reality is presumed, and hypothesis 3 has no meaning then.

Gravitational Signatures of Biological Information: A Proposed Testing Framework for the Mass-Energy-Information Equivalence Principle

Riam Daou

The precise physical nature of information remains an open wound on the side of modern physics. While often treated as an abstract mathematical quantity, recent developments in the Mass-Energy-Information Equivalence Principle argue for a more material interpretation: that information carries finite mass. Parallel to this, the field of quantum biology has long wrestled with the possibility of macroscopic coherent states within living systems, most notably through the Orchestrated Objective Reduction hypothesis. This article offers a perspective that attempts to weld these two speculative frameworks into a single, testable prediction. We explore the speculative hypothesis that if biological systems indeed sustain macroscopic quantum coherence, their eventual decoherence must—according to information conservation principles—result in a physical massdefect. Unlike thermal dissipation, which is diffusive and slow, this ”information crash” should theoretically release a sharp, gravitationally detectable transient. Here, we outline the constraints of such an event and propose a conceptual protocol using near-field atom interferometry to isolate this signal from the thermal background. The goal of this perspective is to move the debate on biological information from philosophy into the realm of falsifiable experimental physics.

Resolution Ontology

Matthew Shrieves

Resolution Ontology (RO) is a conceptual framework that proposes spacetime, time, and classical physical reality are emergent rather than fundamental. The framework is built upon a single ontological principle: physical reality is generated through irreversible resolution events in which coherently constrained quantum potential becomes definite classical fact. Within this view, spacetime is interpreted not as a pre-existing container in which events occur, but as the accumulated physical record of prior resolutions. Time is identified with the ordered accumulation of these resolution events, while observation is understood as access to delayed physical record rather than direct access to the generative present. RO provides a unified ontological interpretation of a range of foundational phenomena, including quantum measurement, quantum entanglement, the double-slit experiment, gravitation, mass-energy equivalence, and the relationship between quantum mechanics and general relativity. The framework preserves the established mathematical structure and empirical successes of modern physics while proposing an alternative underlying ontology in which spacetime emerges from a deeper generative process. Within this interpretation, mass-energy equivalence is re-examined ontologically, offering a generative account of why the invariant speed c appears squared in E = mc² and relating the equation to the transition from coherent potential into classical physical reality. The paper concludes with a proposed experimental avenue through which key aspects of the framework may be tested and potentially falsified.

Quantum Equivalence of Information, Matter and Energy: E =i mc2 *

The universe as the spacetime unity of all its parts (beings) is a selfrealizing information with the quantum resonance feedback formula E =i mc2 of mass, energy and information. Being is a basic part of triune biocosmos whose quintessence is life, i.e. the informational interchange of matter and energy among directly or indirectly visible particles of universe. Information rays fulfill whole four-dimensional space-time (information pattern field) that allowed them to pass through it without obstacles and interact with matter and energy. In extreme cold quantum physics suddenly becomes visible when all moving cosmic particles cease, what only man can describe. For eample the individual mirror image (informgraph) of man is a local result of resonance of information field on bidirectional information rays, which now we can see and even photography! The observing beings detect not only light, but first of all the information rays coming from any object and moving in any direction not being restricted, what e.g. happens with light or language. The mirror picture does not contain a single human atom, because it is only the resonating information field (Figure1).
