Abstract

Quantum entanglement is a cornerstone of modern quantum technologies, underpinning secure communication and complex computation. However, the inherent fragility of entangled states makes them susceptible to subtle disturbances that can be difficult to detect. This paper introduces Phase-Locked Quantum Anomaly Detection (PLQAD), a novel system for identifying anomalies in entangled states through the analysis of phase-locked patterns. We propose a new algorithm that leverages advanced statistical techniques to effectively pinpoint deviations from expected entanglement behavior, offering a significantly faster and more precise anomaly detection method compared to existing approaches. The core of the system involves meticulously tracking and analyzing entanglement patterns, identifying deviations indicative of potential errors or disturbances. This research represents a fundamental step toward enhancing the robustness and reliability of quantum systems.

Quantum Anomaly Detection via Entanglement Decoherence in Distributed Systems

Jincheng Zhang

This paper proposes a novel approach to distributed anomaly detection leveraging the principles of quantum entanglement and decoherence. Traditional anomaly detection methods often struggle in distributed environments due to their centralized nature. This research introduces a system where a network of quantum sensors, governed by entanglement, is utilized to monitor and detect deviations from normal behavior. The core idea involves measuring the decoherence rates of entangled sensor pairs, which are intrinsically sensitive to disturbances and changes in the system. These decoherence rates are then processed through machine learning algorithms to classify events as normal or anomalous. The system's distributed architecture allows for real-time detection without relying on a central server, offering improved resilience and scalability. The theoretical framework and key components of this system are presented, highlighting the potential for significant advancements in anomaly detection across various distributed systems, including sensor networks, industrial control systems, and cybersecurity applications. The system's effectiveness relies on the precise quantification of quantum decoherence, which is a key challenge and a central focus of this work. We outline a methodology for analyzing the measured decoherence data and demonstrate the feasibility of utilizing this information for robust anomaly detection.

Quantum-Inspired Anomaly Detection in Time Series Data

Jincheng Zhang

This paper introduces a novel approach to anomaly detection in time series data inspired by quantum mechanics, specifically quantum superposition and interference. Traditional anomaly detection methods often struggle with subtle deviations that may be masked within noisy data or require significant domain expertise to identify. Our method leverages the inherent properties of quantum states to represent time series data, enabling the generation of interference patterns that can amplify weak anomalies. We formulate the detection process as a measurement problem within a quantum framework, where the act of measurement itself can accentuate deviations from the expected quantum state. The core idea is to represent the time series as a superposition of possible states, and then observe the interference patterns resulting from this superposition. Anomalous events cause a shift in the interference pattern, which can be detected with higher sensitivity than traditional statistical methods. This approach offers the potential to significantly improve anomaly detection performance, particularly in scenarios with complex, high-dimensional time series data. The theoretical framework is presented, followed by a discussion of the key mathematical concepts and operational considerations. The paper concludes with a summary of the proposed method and its potential future directions.
