Abstract

This paper investigates the application of quantum error correction codes within a distributed computing network to achieve reliable quantum information transmission and computation. Traditional distributed computing networks are inherently vulnerable due to the fragility of quantum states. This research proposes a novel architecture leveraging quantum error correction codes to protect and repair quantum information, thereby enabling robust quantum computation. The core claim is that utilizing quantum error correction codes in distributed networks provides a pathway to scalable quantum computing. The central mechanism involves designing a network structure that exploits the error-correcting capabilities of these codes. This approach addresses the fundamental challenges of decoherence and noise, crucial for realizing practical distributed quantum systems. We explore key concepts such as code distance, syndrome decoding, and network topology optimization to demonstrate the feasibility and potential of this system. This work lays a foundational understanding for future research and development in building resilient and scalable distributed quantum computing infrastructures.

This paper investigates the resilience of distributed algorithms against errors, a critical challenge in quantum computing and networked systems. We propose a novel approach to analyzing the fault tolerance of distributed algorithms by leveraging the principles of quantum error-correcting codes (QECCs). Specifically, we develop a framework for quantifying the error correction capabilities of QECCs in the context of distributed algorithms, considering factors such as code distance, decoding efficiency, and network topology. Our analysis provides a rigorous method for evaluating and optimizing distributed algorithms for enhanced reliability. The core of our work lies in translating the theoretical properties of QECCs into practical metrics for assessing algorithmic robustness, and we present a methodology for guiding algorithm design based on these metrics. The results of our analysis demonstrate the potential to significantly improve the resilience of distributed algorithms through strategic code selection and network configuration. We aim to provide a foundational understanding for designing fault-tolerant distributed systems utilizing quantum technologies.
