Mathematical Continuum Limit: Rulial Multiway Graphs to FEF Fractional Dynamics

Abstract

This paper provides a rigorous mathematical derivation demonstrating how discrete multiway state updates on a hypergraph with long-range spatial or branchial shortcuts converge to the continuous Fractional Schrödinger Equation utilized in the Franquero Entropy Framework (FEF). By analyzing a discrete master equation on a multiway graph, I show that when non-local causal updates are introduced, the transition probability distribution develops heavy algebraic tails characterized by the power law W(r) ~ [C_(α,d) * a^α] / |r|^(d + α). Taking the spatial/branchial Fourier transform and applying the continuous time and space limit (a → 0, τ → 0), the discrete hypergraph parameters must satisfy the fractional scaling relation D_α = lim(a→0, τ→0) [A_α * a^α] / τ to obtain a finite continuum limit. Applying the inverse Fourier transform converts the spectral power -|k|^α back to the continuous spatial domain via Riesz fractional derivatives, (-∇²)^(α/2), recovering the non-unitary FEF Time-Dependent Schrödinger Equation: iħ ∂ψ(x,t)/∂t = [ D_α(-ħ²∇²)^(α/2) + V(x) - iħ Γ_ent(ψ) ] ψ(x,t) This mapping establishes a direct physical interpretation between discrete rulial systems and the FEF, where long-range hypergraph rewrites generate fractional dispersion (driving a +3.27° angular deflection shift at α = 1.6), multiway causal bottlenecking emerges as entropic damping, and branchial path divergence physically manifests as fringe visibility loss.

Symmetry-Induced Frequency Collapse in Finite Graph Baths and the Continuum Representational Limit

Ido Beeri

Continuous models of objective state reduction evade exact spatial-support trace limits by employing smooth localizations. Exploring whether a discrete substrate natively avoids continuous spreading provides a strict motivation for mapping candidate discrete spatial ontologies. Acting as a strict thermodynamic screen for macroscopic pointer stability, we evaluate the unitary recurrence-suppression resources available to candidate discrete baths via a continuous-time pure-dephasing surrogate. Because this surrogate synthetically imports orthodox continuous-time unitarity, our topological recurrence rankings are conditionally bounded by this imported structure; we explicitly defer the kinematic persistence of exact spatial voids to future discrete-time update rules. Delineating surrogate artifacts from analytical deliverables, we map two conditional limits. (1) Density of States Mappings—we frame a physical mesoscopic design tradeoff between Euclidean 3-dimensionality, exact spatial homogeneity, scalar mass-density point-couplings, and extensive variance suppression. Infinite discrete 3D cubic lattices satisfy Euclidean geometry and homogeneity but forfeit local depth due to unnormalized 4d bandwidth expansion. The fixed mass gap regulates the infrared Van Hove singularity from a divergence into a massive spectral concentration. Their finite mesoscopic counterparts suffer severe continuous-time revivals because exact crystallographic symmetry structurally collapses their distinct active frequencies (20 for the 7^3 symmetric torus vs 343). Breaking exact spatial homogeneity (disordered grids) or abandoning Euclidean 3-dimensionality entirely (non-Euclidean spectral comparators) is mathematically required to restore extensive participation and effectively delay mesoscopic revivals. A genuine discrete-time Grover quantum walk robustly confirms this continuous-time diagnostic in the cubic regime, bounding the heuristic's domain of validity to crystallographic degeneracy. (2) The Continuum Representational Limit—we chain Effective Field Theory (EFT) localization bounds to the functional-analytic no-gos of the companion taxonomy. By the data processing inequality for Fisher information (marginalization bound), the 3D Fisher information is bounded below by its 1D marginal. A 1D Cramer-Rao conditional localization estimate for a boundary transition layer of width a >= l yields an expected kinetic energy penalty. Approximating an exact discrete boundary at the non-relativistic crossover drives the local approximation into fundamental kinematic breakdown at the systemic rest-mass scale. Transitioning the continuum form domain to the fractional space H^{1/2}(R^3) reveals that sharp boundaries natively violate the relativistic form domain limit. To preserve non-relativistic EFT validity, the representation is forced to decouple from the fundamental lattice and apply mesoscopic transition mollifiers. Under standard continuous free evolution, applying a compactly-supported mollifier preserves a void instantly at synthesis but triggers instantaneous Paley-Wiener spreading for all t>0. Consequently, if foundational spatial exactness exists natively in a discrete substrate, the operational continuum representation strictly acts as an epistemic approximation (Path A); if strictly ontically reified by the theorist, foundational exactness is permanently forfeited to a For-All-Practical-Purposes (FAPP) approximation (Path C).

Continuum Limits of Lazy Open Quantum Walks

Lara Janiurek, Viv Kendon

We derive the continuous spacetime limit of the one dimensional lazy discrete time quantum walk, obtaining explicit macroscopic evolution equations for a three state model in the presence of decoherence. While continuum limits of two state quantum walks are well established, an explicit continuous spacetime formulation for the lazy three state walk, particularly including noise, has not previously been constructed. Using an SU(3) representation of a Grover type coin together with a Lindblad formulation of decoherence acting either on the coin or the spatial subspace, we systematically expand the discrete dynamics in both space and time to obtain continuum master equations governing the coarse grained evolution. The resulting generators yield a genuine partial differential equation description of the walk, going beyond purely probabilistic or spectral correspondences. We show that the unitary limit is governed by a Dirac-type SU(3) Hamiltonian describing ballistic advection of left and right moving modes coupled by local symmetric mixing, with the rest state acting as an additional internal degree of freedom. Coin dephasing selectively damps internal coherences while preserving coherent spatial transport, whereas spatial dephasing suppresses long range spatial interference and rapidly drives the dynamics toward classical behaviour. This continuum framework clarifies how internal symmetry, rest state coupling, and distinct decoherence channels shape large scale transport in lazy open quantum walks, and provides a foundation for future extensions toward multichannel quantum transport models and quantum-inspired algorithms.

Geometric Spectral Foundations of Non-Markovian Open Quantum Dynamics

Ahorlu, David Kwadzo

This a presentation of a self-contained derivation of a geometry-driven fractional master equation (FME) for open quantum systems and its finite-dimensional Markovian embedding via an augmented Lindblad (AL) model. Starting from a microscopic Hamiltonian in which the environment is a quantized Laplace-type field on a compact manifold, Weyl spectral asymptotics give power-law spectral densities. These, in turn, generate algebraic bath correlations and long-time kernels. Under standard Born/Nakajima--Zwanzig assumptions and a low-frequency scaling limit we show how the convolutional master equation reduces to a fractional-in-time generator. To restore complete positivity and numerical tractability, we provide an explicit constructive mapping from the geometry-derived correlation \(C(t)\) to a positive sum-of-exponentials (SOE) approximation and then to an augmented Lindblad equation on a system-plus-auxiliaries Hilbert space. The SOE-based embedding transforms what was once a numerical convenience into a physically grounded approximation: every exponential component corresponds to a damped auxiliary oscillator mediating memory. Unlike ad-hoc kernel fits, the positivity-constrained SOE ensures a thermodynamically consistent extension whose parameters can, in principle, be engineered or measured. The framework thus elevates kernel fitting from a heuristic to a model-building principle.

Discrete-to-Continuum Limit of Causal Chains in the Kähler Reconstruction

Jean-François Rigollet

Discrete-to-Continuum Limit of Causal Chains in the Kähler Reconstruction Previous paper (Causal Reconstruction: Elementary Succession and the Planck Energy) proposed that the Schrödinger equation should arise as the continuum limit of discrete causal chains. Article 18 establishes this result under explicit regularity assumptions, completing the bridge between elementary causal succession and continuous quantum dynamics. Purpose The reconstruction programme contains two distinct transitions: Discrete causal chain → continuum reconstructive action → Madelung–Schrödinger dynamics. The second step was already established in Article 5. The purpose of this paper is to prove the first step: that discrete causal chains converge to the continuous reconstructive action in a mathematically controlled way. Main Idea The reconstructive cost between two states is interpreted as a discrete Lagrangian in the sense of variational integrator theory. A causal chain therefore becomes a discrete variational system whose dynamics is governed by discrete Euler–Lagrange equations. The key observation is that the discrete action SN = Σ C(ρk,ρk+1) plays exactly the role of a discrete Lagrangian approximation of the reconstructive action Srec. Main Results Discrete Lagrangian formulation. The reconstructive cost is shown to define a discrete Lagrangian under suitable regularity conditions. Discrete Euler–Lagrange equations. Critical causal chains satisfy discrete Euler–Lagrange equations expressing momentum continuity across each causal node. Γ-convergence. The discrete action SN Γ-converges to the continuous reconstructive action Srec as the elementary action quantum tends to zero while total duration remains fixed. Convergence of solutions. Solutions of the discrete causal-chain equations converge to solutions of the continuous Madelung equations. Preservation of Kähler structure. The discrete symplectic structure converges to the canonical Kähler symplectic form of the reconstruction phase space. Recovery of Schrödinger dynamics. Combining the present result with Article 5 yields a complete chain from discrete causal succession to the Schrödinger equation. Regularity Analysis A significant contribution of the paper is the analysis of the Fisher information functional in alternative coordinates. In the density variable ρ, Fisher information becomes singular as ρ approaches zero. In the amplitude variable u = √ρ, Fisher information becomes exactly a Dirichlet energy: I(ρ) = 4||∇u||². In the wavefunction variable ψ = √ρ exp(iS/ℏ), the reconstructive action becomes smooth on the natural Hilbert space H¹(M,C). This shows that the apparent singularities of Fisher information are coordinate artefacts rather than genuine obstructions. The Three Operative Conditions The continuum limit ultimately depends on three explicit conditions: C1 — Tightness: minimising sequences remain precompact. C2 — Small-step regime: elementary causal transitions remain inside the injectivity radius. C3 — Non-degeneracy: the second variation of the reconstructive action remains positive, excluding conjugate points and ensuring local uniqueness. Condition C2 becomes automatic in the continuum limit. Conditions C1 and C3 remain the principal analytical assumptions. Conceptual Significance The paper transforms the causal-chain picture from a heuristic interpretation into a variational approximation theorem. Discrete causal succession is no longer merely compatible with quantum dynamics; it converges to it. In this view, a quantum trajectory is not a fundamental continuous object. It is the continuum limit of a chain of elementary reconstructive transitions, each carrying one action quantum. Conclusion This paper completes the mathematical bridge between the causal layer and the quantum layer of the reconstruction programme. Under explicit regularity assumptions, discrete causal chains converge to the reconstructive action, the reconstructive action yields the Madelung equations, and the Madelung formulation is equivalent to Schrödinger dynamics. The resulting picture is a fully variational route from elementary causal succession to quantum mechanics.

Formal Mathematical Underpinnings of Space-Cell Dynamics: Local unitary updates, Dirac and Schrödinger limits, causal cones, and no-signaling

David Reardon

This report develops the mathematical spine of a discrete information-theoretic space-cell framework. A finite region of the substrate is represented by a tensor product of local Hilbert spaces over a graph or cell complex. Closed dynamics are modeled by finite-depth circuits of bounded-range unitary gates; open-system, measurement-inclusive, or coarse-grained dynamics are represented by local completely positive trace-preserving maps. Under these assumptions, norm or trace preservation is exact, local observables acquire support only inside finite update cones, and unconditional local statistics are invariant under distant trace-preserving operations. A one-dimensional symmetric split-step quantum walk is used as an explicit baseline. Selecting a quasienergy branch of its finite-step update operator defines an effective Hamiltonian. In the long-wavelength, small-step regime, the leading generator has Dirac form, with the cell spacing and update interval fixing an effective propagation speed and the local component-mixing angle fixing a mass scale. The Schrödinger equation is then obtained as a secondary positive-energy, low-momentum envelope approximation after factoring out the rest-energy phase. This hierarchy prevents the discrete update, Dirac continuum regime, and nonrelativistic Schrödinger regime from being treated as equivalent claims. The report also proves reduced-state no-signaling for local trace-preserving operations, states the corresponding probability-level result for local POVMs, and shows how Bell/CHSH correlations can coexist with no controllable superluminal communication. Entanglement is interpreted as distributed nonfactorization generated by local interaction history, not as measurement-time signaling. The report closes with explicit proof obligations: Born-rule and measurement derivation, interacting relativistic fields, spin-statistics, gauge structure, curved geometry, exact or experimentally bounded Lorentz recovery, local conservation beyond global norm, and the causal safety of χ or deformation variables.
