Continuous models of objective state reduction evade exact spatial-support trace limits by employing smooth localizations. Exploring whether a discrete substrate natively avoids continuous spreading provides a strict motivation for mapping candidate discrete spatial ontologies. Acting as a strict thermodynamic screen for macroscopic pointer stability, we evaluate the unitary recurrence-suppression resources available to candidate discrete baths via a continuous-time pure-dephasing surrogate. Because this surrogate synthetically imports orthodox continuous-time unitarity, our topological recurrence rankings are conditionally bounded by this imported structure; we explicitly defer the kinematic persistence of exact spatial voids to future discrete-time update rules. Delineating surrogate artifacts from analytical deliverables, we map two conditional limits. (1) Density of States Mappings—we frame a physical mesoscopic design tradeoff between Euclidean 3-dimensionality, exact spatial homogeneity, scalar mass-density point-couplings, and extensive variance suppression. Infinite discrete 3D cubic lattices satisfy Euclidean geometry and homogeneity but forfeit local depth due to unnormalized 4d bandwidth expansion. The fixed mass gap regulates the infrared Van Hove singularity from a divergence into a massive spectral concentration. Their finite mesoscopic counterparts suffer severe continuous-time revivals because exact crystallographic symmetry structurally collapses their distinct active frequencies (20 for the 7^3 symmetric torus vs 343). Breaking exact spatial homogeneity (disordered grids) or abandoning Euclidean 3-dimensionality entirely (non-Euclidean spectral comparators) is mathematically required to restore extensive participation and effectively delay mesoscopic revivals. A genuine discrete-time Grover quantum walk robustly confirms this continuous-time diagnostic in the cubic regime, bounding the heuristic's domain of validity to crystallographic degeneracy. (2) The Continuum Representational Limit—we chain Effective Field Theory (EFT) localization bounds to the functional-analytic no-gos of the companion taxonomy. By the data processing inequality for Fisher information (marginalization bound), the 3D Fisher information is bounded below by its 1D marginal. A 1D Cramer-Rao conditional localization estimate for a boundary transition layer of width a >= l yields an expected kinetic energy penalty. Approximating an exact discrete boundary at the non-relativistic crossover drives the local approximation into fundamental kinematic breakdown at the systemic rest-mass scale. Transitioning the continuum form domain to the fractional space H^{1/2}(R^3) reveals that sharp boundaries natively violate the relativistic form domain limit. To preserve non-relativistic EFT validity, the representation is forced to decouple from the fundamental lattice and apply mesoscopic transition mollifiers. Under standard continuous free evolution, applying a compactly-supported mollifier preserves a void instantly at synthesis but triggers instantaneous Paley-Wiener spreading for all t>0. Consequently, if foundational spatial exactness exists natively in a discrete substrate, the operational continuum representation strictly acts as an epistemic approximation (Path A); if strictly ontically reified by the theorist, foundational exactness is permanently forfeited to a For-All-Practical-Purposes (FAPP) approximation (Path C).

Abstract This paper develops a discrete information-theoretic framework in which physical systems are modeled on a graph or lattice of locally interacting space cells. Its principal contribution is an integrated architecture separating exact consequences of locality and unitarity, continuum-limit derivations, model-family results, toy-model mechanisms, and unresolved physical mappings. Matter-like identity is treated as propagated relational information rather than persistence of the same occupied cells, and candidate mechanisms are audited for causal locality, conservation or ledger closure, and false reconstruction. The quantum branch assumes finite-dimensional local Hilbert spaces and local unitary or completely positive trace-preserving (CPTP) updates. Under those assumptions, norm preservation, finite causal cones, and reduced-state no-signaling follow directly; spinor quantum walks admit a Dirac-like long-wavelength limit and a secondary nonrelativistic Schrödinger envelope. A representative reciprocal q–χ lattice action shows how compact local dynamics can support continuity, spectral response, action-derived scattering, and internal symmetry/charge, while later extensions supply a provisional local gauge/Gauss/holonomy structure. Two geometric realizations remain deliberately distinct: distortable cells and scalar extrinsic-χ compression. Toy models provide mechanism and failure-boundary evidence for relational identity, reconstruction, scattering, photon-like bookkeeping, and topology/charge-current response. The framework does not derive the Standard Model, quantum field theory, or general relativity; it defines a falsifiable program for testing whether compact local information-processing laws can recover required low-energy structures without hidden nonlocal repair or post-hoc tuning.
The quantum measurement problem has persisted largely because standard formalisms require the insertion of an external observer to collapse the wavefunction. This leaves physics without a kinematic mechanism for the actual transition from a continuous superposition to a discrete outcome. We propose here that wavefunction collapse functions as a deterministic thermodynamic phase transition, forced via the finite processing memory of the spatial vacuum. Operating within the Symbiotic Infodynamic Equilibrium (SIE) framework, we model the macroscopic vacuum as a discrete, finite-capacity Face-Centered Cubic (FCC) relational graph. A quantum superposition is evaluated here as an unformatted data-routing state distributed across this lattice. We show that maintaining this coherent spatial distribution imposes a linear infodynamic memory burden on the substrate. As the spatial extent or the mass of the superposed system increases, this informational burden intersects with the intrinsic holographic capacity of the localized state. Setting this microscopic capacity (S_cap proportional to M^-2) equal to the macroscopic Bekenstein-Hawking entropy (S_BH proportional to M^2) derives a first-principles boundary for quantum behavior (M_cut = m_P / sqrt(2)). We structurally redefine observation not as a conscious act of measurement, but as an entanglement-driven mass transfer. When a microscopic system interacts with a macroscopic apparatus, the aggregate mass penalty breaches the local bandwidth limit of the vacuum, thereby forcing a deterministic formatting of the state. This infodynamic bandwidth saturation yields explicit spatial (delta x_max proportional to M^-3) and temporal limits for objective reduction, while predicting a falsifiable discrete Landauer thermal purge detectable via macroscopic optomechanical interferometry.
We derive the continuous spacetime limit of the one dimensional lazy discrete time quantum walk, obtaining explicit macroscopic evolution equations for a three state model in the presence of decoherence. While continuum limits of two state quantum walks are well established, an explicit continuous spacetime formulation for the lazy three state walk, particularly including noise, has not previously been constructed. Using an SU(3) representation of a Grover type coin together with a Lindblad formulation of decoherence acting either on the coin or the spatial subspace, we systematically expand the discrete dynamics in both space and time to obtain continuum master equations governing the coarse grained evolution. The resulting generators yield a genuine partial differential equation description of the walk, going beyond purely probabilistic or spectral correspondences. We show that the unitary limit is governed by a Dirac-type SU(3) Hamiltonian describing ballistic advection of left and right moving modes coupled by local symmetric mixing, with the rest state acting as an additional internal degree of freedom. Coin dephasing selectively damps internal coherences while preserving coherent spatial transport, whereas spatial dephasing suppresses long range spatial interference and rapidly drives the dynamics toward classical behaviour. This continuum framework clarifies how internal symmetry, rest state coupling, and distinct decoherence channels shape large scale transport in lazy open quantum walks, and provides a foundation for future extensions toward multichannel quantum transport models and quantum-inspired algorithms.
This report develops the mathematical spine of a discrete information-theoretic space-cell framework. A finite region of the substrate is represented by a tensor product of local Hilbert spaces over a graph or cell complex. Closed dynamics are modeled by finite-depth circuits of bounded-range unitary gates; open-system, measurement-inclusive, or coarse-grained dynamics are represented by local completely positive trace-preserving maps. Under these assumptions, norm or trace preservation is exact, local observables acquire support only inside finite update cones, and unconditional local statistics are invariant under distant trace-preserving operations. A one-dimensional symmetric split-step quantum walk is used as an explicit baseline. Selecting a quasienergy branch of its finite-step update operator defines an effective Hamiltonian. In the long-wavelength, small-step regime, the leading generator has Dirac form, with the cell spacing and update interval fixing an effective propagation speed and the local component-mixing angle fixing a mass scale. The Schrödinger equation is then obtained as a secondary positive-energy, low-momentum envelope approximation after factoring out the rest-energy phase. This hierarchy prevents the discrete update, Dirac continuum regime, and nonrelativistic Schrödinger regime from being treated as equivalent claims. The report also proves reduced-state no-signaling for local trace-preserving operations, states the corresponding probability-level result for local POVMs, and shows how Bell/CHSH correlations can coexist with no controllable superluminal communication. Entanglement is interpreted as distributed nonfactorization generated by local interaction history, not as measurement-time signaling. The report closes with explicit proof obligations: Born-rule and measurement derivation, interacting relativistic fields, spin-statistics, gauge structure, curved geometry, exact or experimentally bounded Lorentz recovery, local conservation beyond global norm, and the causal safety of χ or deformation variables.

This paper develops a discrete, information-theoretic framework in which physical reality is modeled as a lattice or relational graph of interacting “space cells,” each evolving by local update rules. The framework treats space as an active information-processing substrate rather than as a passive background. Time is modeled as an ordering of state transitions rather than as a fundamental substance. Energy is provisionally associated with event density, update rate, action flow, or structured information-processing intensity, with Planck’s constant interpreted as a conversion scale between discrete transitions, phase, and action. The paper combines formal mathematical development with a summary of toy-model probes used to test whether the framework can support the kinds of structures required of a physical theory. Mathematically, it distinguishes theorem-level consequences of local/unitary dynamics from continuum-limit derivations and from simulation-supported but still speculative model-selection branches. Finite-radius local updates imply causal cones; unitary updates preserve norm; local trace-preserving operations preserve no-signaling at the reduced-state level; split-step quantum-walk updates support Dirac-like low-momentum continuum behavior; and Schrödinger-like dynamics arise as a nonrelativistic positive-energy envelope approximation rather than as the most immediate continuum limit. The space-cell framework is organized around two candidate geometric realizations. A distortable-cell model assigns deformation, strain, connection, or topology-bearing degrees of freedom to cells and links. An alternative extrinsic χ-compression model assigns an additional internal scalar coordinate , interpreted as compression, event-density elevation, hidden displacement, or update-rate modulation. The χ option is not initially treated as a literal fourth spatial dimension; it is a parsimonious internal state variable to be compared against deformation-based models under causal, weak-field, Lorentz-like, source-specific, and false-source controls. The toy-model program summarized here tests whether local update rules can generate stable, bounded, identity-preserving informational structures that survive perturbation, scattering, false-carrier pressure, and geometry-like coupling. These simulations do not prove that nature uses space cells, but they have produced mechanism-level evidence for relational identity preservation, local reconstruction, false-carrier rejection, conservation-ledger requirements, photon-like interaction bookkeeping, and χ/deformation model-selection criteria. This paper does not claim to have derived the Standard Model, full quantum field theory, or the Einstein field equations. It presents a staged mathematical and computational research framework. The strongest current claim is that local information-processing rules can be formalized in ways that recover several necessary structural features—locality, conservation-like invariants, causal propagation, no-signaling compatibility, Dirac/Schrödinger continuum regimes, and candidate weak-field geometry equations—while toy-model branches provide constrained tests of whether those structures can support physically relevant informational excitations.
