From Space-Facing Relational Availability to Time-Facing Retained History: Contractive Resolution as the Mechanism of Registration

Abstract

This mathematical research note studies the finite-memory registration update Aₙ₊₁ = (1 − ηₙ)Aₙ + ηₙEₙ on positive-semidefinite, trace-one operator states and develops its interpretation within Registration Theory. The paper proves admissibility preservation, fixed-event contraction, fixed-event injectivity, the variable-event weighted retained-history expansion, coefficient normalization, and conditional convergence under explicit product-decay conditions. It also proves that, on a nondegenerate interior domain, distinct changing event histories can produce the same final reduced state. These results establish an important distinction: contraction of state differences does not itself imply information destruction. For a fixed known event and incorporation rate, the update remains injective. Historical compression arises when a complete changing history is represented only by its final reduced retained state. The paper introduces the Space-to-Time Registration Principle: when a stabilized system registers an incoming system, the incoming system’s space-facing relational organization is selectively resolved relative to the registering system’s retained organization and incorporated into its time-facing retained history. One mutual event can therefore produce two distinct oriented resolutions and retained consequences, one for each participating system. The note relates this reduced dynamics to an earlier fixed-event conservative-dilation result while identifying the next open problem: constructing a primitive closed mutual-registration dynamics containing both systems, the mutual event source, and retained relational consequences without imposing conservation through an artificially defined residual sector.

Relational Separation Does Not Erase Registration: Persistent History, Distance Formation, and the Entanglement Application in Registration Theory

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

This paper develops the Registration Theory (RT) account of relational separation, persistent registration history, and measurement, and applies it to entanglement. It argues that increasing host-resolved spatial separation does not by itself constitute an erasure operation on a previously established consequential registration. Within RT, metric distance is downstream of persistent relational separation and therefore cannot by itself be assumed to terminate the registration history from which that separation developed. The paper introduces a Common Registration-Origin Class through an augmented registration-space construction that distinguishes host-resolved spatial separation from the underlying registration relation. This provides a formal framework in which registrations may become widely separated in reconstructed spatial geometry while retaining a common registration history.A central result of this version is a refinement of the RT concept of measurement. Measurement is not introduced as an additional primitive operation acting upon an already existing physical state. Instead, measurement is defined as the host-distinguishable manifestation of a consequential Trinity relation. Trinity supplies the mutually related space-, time-, and energy-facing manifestations; the Irreducible Rule of Distinction (IRD) makes relational differences physically distinguishable; registration makes those distinctions consequential and capable of persistence.Accordingly, a mutual registration event is resolved through its distinguishable Trinity relation. Ratio descriptions such as [S:T:E] and the corresponding reference charts express host-relative comparisons rather than independent ontological components. The paper replaces an unnecessarily strong common-scale-blindness assumption with relational co-scaling: simultaneous scaling of a registration and its comparison reference leaves the corresponding ratios invariant without requiring absolute Trinity scale to be physically irrelevant. This result also provides a direct follow-up to the preregistered opposition-to-incorporation problem frozen in “From Opposed Expansion to Persistent Registration” (October 1, 2026; DOI 10.6084/m9.figshare.34050480). The previously unspecified host-resolved event E_n is identified with the distinguishable Trinity manifestation of the consequential mutual registration. For the existing reduced incorporation law A_{n+1}=(1-eta_n)A_n+eta_n E_n, the realized incorporation fraction can consequently be reconstructed from the event-relative contraction. The paper does not claim completion of the preregistered angular-threshold reconstruction. The remaining forward problem is to derive from RT dynamics how retained registration history together with the present boundary, opposition, and phase structure determines the successor registration and hence the incorporation rate eta_n and eventual entry into the persistent-closure class. The preregistered prohibition against angle-dependent calibration, changing closure criteria, or post-hoc parameter fitting therefore remains in force. For entanglement, the paper proposes that spatial separation need not erase a persistent bilateral registration established through a common history. This supplies an RT interpretation of entanglement as persistent relational organization but does not claim a derivation of Bell/singlet correlations. Deriving the corresponding joint measurement statistics remains a separate theorem obligation.

Before Decoherence: Consequential Registration, Redundant Physical Records, and the Pre-Quantum Origin of Environmental Objectivity: A theorem-backed distinction between Registration Theory and Quantum Darwinism

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

Quantum Darwinism explains effective classical objectivity through the selective proliferation of information about preferred quantum states into multiple environmental fragments. Its mature formulations operate within quantum theory, using a system-environment decomposition, decoherence or einselection, and information-theoretic or broadcast-structure criteria for redundant accessibility. This paper asks an upstream question from Registration Theory (RT): what makes a physical distinction a record before that record is described as information available to an observer? Canonical RT answers that retained registration is persistent organization constraining later evolution, that a distinction becomes a physical record only when it remains consequential, and that persistent physical organization is prior to information extracted from it.The paper assembles a theorem-backed finite-model chain now available in the RT corpus. Canonical ACRF dynamics supplies write-retain-read consequential history. The exact finite-amplitude ACRF-4 quotient identifies a nine-dimensional host-host-boundary state. The certified consequence-minimality theorem (DOI 10.6084/m9.figshare.34063464) shows that the retained relational boundary contributes irreducible future-consequence directions. The spectrum-preserving ACRF-8 redundant-record theorem (DOI 10.6084/m9.figshare.34063500) then proves an explicit local witness in which one quotient-valid source distinction is written into two disjoint retained fragments that are locally recoverable, counterfactually separable, and independently readable, giving \(R_{RT}(q)\ge 2\) under the stated criteria. The resulting distinction from Quantum Darwinism is precise but bounded. RT recordhood is consequence-based, while Darwinian objectivity is an accessibility-and-redundancy criterion formulated within quantum theory. The ACRF witness demonstrates redundant retained record formation without assuming Hilbert space, density operators, mutual information, decoherence, einselection, Born probabilities, or an observer-defined environment. Therefore, multiple persistent records of one distinction are not definitionally identical to Quantum-Darwinian redundancy. The paper does not claim that Quantum Darwinism is false or that RT has derived quantum mechanics, decoherence, Born probabilities, a mutual-information redundancy plateau, or macroscopic objectivity. Instead, it proposes a disciplined hierarchy: consequential distinction → retention → persistent record → branching → redundant retained records → redundant accessibility → environmental objectivity. The final two steps remain open in RT. A future bridge must dynamically select and scale multi-host redundancy and map consequence-bearing RT records into quantum environmental fragments that satisfy decoherence and strong objectivity conditions.

Existence and Stability of Finite Pre-Geometric Resolution Structures in Registration Theory

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

Registration Theory proposes that physical reality begins not with objects situated in a pre-given spacetime, but with interactions that create and preserve distinguishable relations—registrations—from which objects, information, dimensionality, time, and effective geometry may emerge. This paper examines one finite-dimensional mathematical component of that broader program. Given a positive-semidefinite registration operator R and a fixed linear resolution map A_S associated with a system S, it studies the resolved operator D_S = A_S R A_S†. The paper establishes that D_S is well-defined, self-adjoint, and positive semidefinite; derives its factorization, rank identity, and rank bounds; and proves continuous dependence on perturbations of R and A_S. Under the additional assumption that A_S is contractive, the trace of D_S cannot exceed the trace of R, with equality when A_S is isometric on the support of R. The principal result concerns threshold effective rank: the number of eigenvalues of D_S above a specified threshold. This count is locally stable when the threshold is separated from the spectrum by a positive gap. Explicit counterexamples demonstrate why the stated assumptions and strict perturbation bounds matter. The results do not derive spacetime, physical dimensionality, Lorentzian signature, or an empirical law. The threshold effective rank is a spectral statistic rather than a physical spatial dimension. The paper instead establishes a limited mathematical prerequisite for future work connecting system-relative resolution to effective dimensionality and geometry. This version revises and supersedes v1, previously titled “Existence and Stability of Finite Pre-Geometric Resolution Structures in Registration Theory.” The core construction and theorem package are unchanged, while the trace theorem has been refined to match the verified result and the exposition, framing, limitations, and physical motivation have been substantially revised.

Closure-Induced Complex Structure in Registration Theory: From Conjugate Involution to Compact Phase Action and Algebraic Registration Classes

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

This paper develops a closure-induced complex-structure construction within Registration Theory (RT). Earlier RT work established, under stated assumptions or within canonical finite models, involutive conjugate exchange, hyperbolic reciprocal mixing, retained/current organization, parity structures, invariant closure, persistent localization, receiver-conditioned consequence, and bilateral participant-exchange structures. The present work identifies a precise algebraic bridge between these structures. If persistent closure selects a common two-component sector on which conjugate exchange and closure-orientation parity are involutions and anticommute, then their composition necessarily defines a complex structure whose square is -I. The associated one-parameter action is therefore compact and 2pi-periodic, and closed orbits of that action possess integer winding classes. The result provides a possible Registration Theory route from continuous registration dynamics to algebraically discrete organizational classes without requiring a postulated minimum physical scale. The paper carefully separates this exact algebraic result from two remaining open problems: deriving the common closed sector from primitive registration dynamics, and showing that physically individuated registration succession is generated by or faithfully represented by the compact phase action. The paper also clarifies the ontological ordering of Registration Theory. Registration and registered organization are treated as prior to symmetry descriptions, while space-, time-, and energy-facing variables are treated as mutually related registered expressions rather than independent primitive substances. Normalization geometries are treated as model realizations unless separately derived. The work does not claim a derivation of quantum mechanics, Hilbert space, the Born rule, Planck's constant, electric charge, spin, particle spectra, mass, radiation, gauge theory, or the Standard Model. Its contribution is narrower: it identifies an exact RT-specific algebraic route by which two involutive registration operations can induce a compact complex structure and possible discrete organizational classes, while keeping the remaining physical realization problems explicit.

Registration Arithmetic in Registration Theory: Conservative Daughter Formation, Six-Channel Allocation, Historical Repartition, and Host-Relative Consequence

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

This paper extends the mathematical foundations of Registration Theory (RT) by consolidating a conservative Registration Arithmetic for daughter formation, six-channel allocation, retained history, and host-relative measurement.Exact results within the specified mathematical model establish conservation across daughter registrations, characterize alternative historical regroupings, and identify limitations of the existing successor law concerning reversibility and orientation transport. The study also examines how evolving photon and detector histories might contribute to an RT interpretation of the double-slit experiment. The results distinguish established mathematical identities from conditional physical interpretations and identify the remaining requirements for deriving a native, history-sensitive registration law capable of governing formation, persistence, separation, and measurement. This is a theoretical research preprint. No complete derivation of physical particle decay, quantum interference statistics, or the Born rule is claimed.

From the First Bit to the Birth of Time: A Discrete Pre-Geometric Foundation for Quantum Mechanics Through One-, Two-, and Three-Dimensional Stages, Durable Quantum Records, Two Operational Event Clocks, and Record-Controlled Dynamics

Jacob Bulmash

One bit is all it takes to start the universe. Here “one bit” names the initial informational resource under the stated premises, not the theorem’s only assumption. Its two basis values control an explicit isometric preparation into the no-event and event history sectors; composing that preparation with the literal lifecycle gives distinct zero-clock and completed-event outputs, while the canonical bit prior recovers the uniform history law and all printed branch masses. The whole theorem in one line: First informative bit → 1D → 2D → 3D → durable quantum record → two operational event clocks → record-controlled dynamics. This work realizes that complete sequence as one exact theorem, with every stage finite, explicitly typed, and joined to the next. A first informative distinction acquires a one-dimensional relational home; finite events create filled two- and three-dimensional structure; the completed event leaves a persistent completion signal telling WHEN a later operation is eligible and a durable record of WHAT occurred; retained event order produces two noninterchangeable operational clocks, and the durable record controls a later quantum operation whose output statistics depend measurably on that record. The central new result is the exact end-to-end closure of this sequence as one normalized full-history lifecycle across explicitly joined finite carriers, with every firing and nonfiring history retained. To our knowledge, this is the first explicit finite theorem to close that complete conjunction while retaining both event and no-event histories in one normalized lifecycle across explicitly joined finite carriers. Established mathematical tools certify the interfaces; they do not supply the joined lifecycle proved here. Finite GNS canonically represents the commutative event laws; the labelled noncommutative carrier and full finite effect structure are selected inputs, and the Born-trace and CPTP forms follow from the stated consistency hypotheses on that selected base. Under the complete displayed base every lifecycle map is constructed exactly; whether the pre-activation formation equations alone uniquely force the router, fine writer/hold activation, fresh-row preparation, and comparator is a separate upstream parent-forcing problem and is not used by the completed construction. Every implemented map is exhibited, and the archived executable verification suite passes in ordinary and optimized execution and rejects all registered fault-injection controls. The theorem requires no external clock, singular initial datum, continuum-spacetime limiting procedure, postselection, discarded history, or selected-branch renormalization. The dated primary-source search protocol, version pins, screening ledger, and complete-conjunction matrix are archived in `evidence/COMPLETE_CONJUNCTION_LITERATURE_SEARCH_RECEIPT.json`. SI calibration, continuum spacetime, gravity, quantum field theory, and cosmology begin at later layers.
