Abstract

We explore the influence of intrinsic decoherence on bipartite entanglement and skew informationcorrelations within a complex quantum system. Specifically, our investigation centers around a hybridqubit-qutrit Heisenberg XXZ model, enriched with the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction, and exposedto an external inhomogeneous magnetic field. To assess the quantum correlations in this system, weutilize two key metrics: local quantum uncertainty and uncertainty-induced nonlocality to gaugeskew information correlations, and logarithmic negativity to quantify bipartite entanglement. In ourstudy, we probe how various factors impact the behavior of these three quantum correlation indicators. These factors include the rate of intrinsic decoherence, the parameters governing the hybridqubit-qutrit system, the strength of the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction, and the intensity ofexternal magnetic fields. Our results reveal that intrinsic decoherence detrimentally affectsquantum correlations. Furthermore, the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction weakens oscillatorypatterns and dampens both skew information correlations and bipartite entanglement within thehybrid system. However, we observe that adjusting the parameters of the hybrid-spin HeisenbergXXZ model can mitigate the adverse effects of intrinsic decoherence on quantum correlations.Notably, our study demonstrates that the measure of uncertainty-induced nonlocality possesses thecapability to detect quantum correlations that other metrics may miss. Additionally, we find that skewinformation correlations can be enhanced by manipulating the mixture parameter. Lastly, we note thatthe presence of an external homogeneous magnetic field leads to a reduction in quantum correlations,as observed in our findings

Dynamics of Quantum Resources in Hybrid System Under Decoherence Effect

Essalha Chaouki, Mostafa Mansour

Abstract We investigate the impact of intrinsic decoherence (ID) on non-classical correlations in a Heisenberg qubit-qutrit XXZ system with Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) interaction and an external inhomogeneous magnetic field. Using uncertainty-induced nonlocality ( $$\mathcal {U}_C$$ U C ), local quantum uncertainty (LQU), and logarithmic negativity ( $$\mathcal {L}_{\mathcal {N}}$$ ℒ N ), we assess skew information correlations and bipartite entanglement. Our results show that adjusting system parameters can mitigate the negative effects of ID. $$\mathcal {U}_C$$ U C effectively detects quantum correlations, and tweaking the mixture parameter enhances skew information correlations, though an external uniform magnetic field reduces them.

Quantum correlations and coherence in a mixed spin- ( 1 2 , 1 ) Heisenberg dimer under intrinsic decoherence

Mansoura Oumennana, Mostafa Mansour

Abstract This research delves into the dynamical behavior of quantum correlations and coherence within a mixed Heisenberg dimer system under the intrinsic decoherence. Our approach involves the application of logarithmic negativity, local quantum uncertainty, and the ℓ 1 norm-based coherence as quantifiers for entanglement, skew information correlations, and quantum coherence in this qubit-qutrit model. Our primary objective is to explore the impact of various factors on the dynamics of quantum correlations and quantum coherence. These factors encompass the initial density matrix and its mixing parameter, the intrinsic decoherence rate (γ), the external magnetic field, as well as intrinsic system parameters, notably the XXZ and uniaxial single-ion anisotropies. Our results demonstrate that the introduction of intrinsic decoherence (ID) significantly erodes quantum resources. Particularly, for high values of the ID rate (γ), excessive damping occurs, leading to the absence of oscillations or a rapid decay of quantum resources, ultimately stabilizing in steady states. Furthermore, the presence of an external homogeneous magnetic field further diminishes quantum resources within the system. However, despite the degradation induced by the combined influence of intrinsic decoherence and high external magnetic field intensities, the judicious selection of the initial density matrix and precise adjustment of the uniaxial single-ion anisotropy enable the preservation of quantum resources within the mixed spin-(1/2, 1) Heisenberg dimer.

Metrological non-classical correlations and quantum coherence in hybrid ( 1 / 2 , 1 ) system under decoherence channels

Abstract Our research focuses on the interplay between thermal noise and decoherence channels on quantum coherence and nonclassical correlations in a hybrid ( 1 / 2 , 1 ) Heisenberg model. This hybrid system integrates the Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya interaction (DMI) and operates under the influence of an external magnetic field. We use local quantum Fisher information (LQFI) for correlation estimation and relative entropy of coherence for coherence measurement in the considered system. Our investigation encompasses various parameters of the hybrid system, the strength of the DMI and the intensity of the external magnetic field. Our findings underscore that elevated temperature compromises both nonclassical correlations and coherence. On the other hand, the robustness of the DMI mitigates the impact of thermal noise on quantum Fisher information correlations and relative entropy of coherence in the hybrid system. Additionally, we inspect the impact of decohering channels-specifically, dephasing, phase flip, and bit- and trit-flip channels-on thermal coherence and quantum correlations. The introduction of various decoherence processes into the hybrid qubit-qutrit system leads to a competition with thermal fluctuations, thereby giving rise to out-of-equilibrium states. Our results indicate that as the decoherence strength parameter (p) increases, both LQFI and relative entropy of coherence exhibit similar behaviors in the dephasing and phase flip channels. These resources gradually diminish, eventually disappearing entirely at p = 1. In the context of the bit- and trit-flip channels, quantum coherence displays notable distinctions compared to what is observed under dephasing and phase flip channels, revealing that coherence can be preserved if the DMI is strong and the intensity of the external magnetic field is reduced. These findings are important since it is crucial to first understand the decoherence process, arising from the interaction with the environment, and then to find ways to hinder this decoherence in order to avoid the complete loss of the quantum resources necessary to quantum information processing.

Logarithmic Negativity Versus Quantum Discord in a System of Dipolar Coupled Spins Undergoing Intrinsic Decoherence

Mansoura Oumennana, Essalha Chaouki, Mostafa Mansour

Abstract This research delves into the dynamic evolution of bipartite entanglement and nonclassical correlations within a two-spin system governed by dipole-dipole interactions and Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) coupling, while affected by intrinsic decoherence (ID). Beginning with the initialization of the bipartite system in a Werner state, we investigate how ID, dipolar coupling parameters, DM interaction strength, and uniform magnetic field strengths influence the progression of quantum entanglement and nonclassical correlations. Logarithmic negativity serves as a metric for quantifying entanglement, while quantum discord is employed to probe nonclassical correlations beyond entanglement. Our results highlight that strategic adjustments to the system parameters can alleviate the undesirable impact of ID. Moreover, the choice of initial state and its degree of pureness significantly influences the levels of entanglement and quantum discord within the dipolar-coupled spins system.

Nonclassical correlation dynamics of Heisenberg XYZ states with ( x, y )-spin--orbit interaction, x -magnetic field, and intrinsic decoherence effects

Abstract In quantum information, it is important to recognize the effects of additional interactions, such as spin–orbit interactions, on the quantum information resources of two-qubit Heisenberg states. Therefore, we study the nonlocal correlation dynamics affected by the intrinsic decoherence of the spin–spin-Heisenberg-XYZ interaction, which is supported by spin–orbit interactions (Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya) of the x x and y y directions together. The two spins are coupled to an external inhomogeneous magnetic field (EIMF) in the x x -direction. We investigate and compare the nonclassical correlation dynamics of local quantum Fisher information, local quantum uncertainty, and log-negativity. The results show that spin–spin and spin–orbit interactions have a high capability to enhance non-local correlations in the presence of an external magnetic field. The enhanced non-local correlation can be further improved by strengthening the spin–spin and spin–orbit interactions, as well as by increasing the EIMF’s inhomogeneity and uniformity, which increases the amplitudes and fluctuations of the generated non-local correlation oscillations. The degradation of non-local correlations due to intrinsic decoherence can be controlled by spin–spin interactions. These degradation correlations can be enhanced by increasing the intensities of spin–orbit interactions, as well as by increasing the EIMF’s inhomogeneity and uniformity.

Local quantum uncertainty in a two-qubit Heisenberg spin chain with intrinsic decoherence

Abstract Quantum correlation plays an important role in quantum information processing, for which various quantifiers have been proposed so far. In this paper, we address the dynamics of local quantum uncertainty (LQU) as a reliable quantifier of quantum correlation in a two-qubit Heisenberg spin chain in the presence of nonuniform external magnetic field and Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction with intrinsic decoherence. The influences of the initial states, external magnetic field strength, Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction strength and intrinsic decoherence rate on the dynamics of LQU have been in detail investigated. Our analytical results show that the dynamics of LQU is strongly depended on the form of initial states. For an initial correlated state, the dynamical behaviors of LQU exhibit either monotonic decay or damped oscillations with respect to time. While for an initial separable state, quantum correlation quantified by LQU can be created due to the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction and Heisenberg anisotropic interaction. Besides, the relationship between LQU and l -norm coherence or concurrence is also demonstrated in the present model.
