Abstract

Mobile e-learning platforms' tremendous growth has changed modern education systems by providing instant and flexible access to e-learning content. However, increased reliance on wireless communications and cloud-based infrastructure in mobile e-learning platforms is creating many issues in terms of data security, latency, scalability, and content delivery. Traditional techniques in security and communication are not always effective in dealing with the changing requirements of mobile e-learning systems, where huge amounts of data are constantly being transferred between various devices. This paper introduces the network architecture of a Quantum Computing-Driven Mobile E-Learning System (QCMELS) designed to utilize quantum cryptographic protocols for ultra-secure, high-speed content delivery. To validate its architectural feasibility prior to the widespread availability of physical quantum hardware, the framework's quantum mechanics are modeled via quantum circuit simulation and quantum-inspired optimization algorithms. A multi-layer system architecture design has been made to accommodate secure authentication and dynamic quantum session key generation, adaptive bandwidth, and low latency for Wi-Fi, 5G, and Internet-of-Things-based mobile e-learning platforms. Moreover, the model employs intelligent routing as well as edge caching mechanisms to enhance efficient communication in terms of mitigating congestion. An experimental analysis showed that the QCMELS framework performed better than any other mobile learning framework across several performance measures. The QCMELS model delivered 97.8 Mbps throughput, 98.6% PDR, and 98.1% security accuracy and brought about a reduction in average latency to 61 ms. On top of this, there was efficiency in resource usage, which stood at 92.4%. This shows that the optimization framework proposed is indeed effective. The findings obtained from the ablation study provided additional evidence on how the quantum security and edge computing modules contributed towards improving performance. The findings suggest that the proposed framework is scalable, reliable, and secure. It is an ideal framework for future mobile e-learning systems. The research helps to advance intelligent educational systems.

Designing a Hybrid Cryptographic Algorithm for End-to-End Secure Communication Between Distributed E-Learning Services Using Quantum-Resistant Techniques

Sholpan Artikbayevna Allanazarova, Gafforova Dilfuza Juraevna, Sabohat Abdullaevna Hashimova +4 more

The fast adoption of distributed e-learning platforms has brought about serious cybersecurity concerns in terms of securing communication, authentications, and ensuring data confidentiality in cloud-based learning services. Traditional forms of cryptography, including RSA and ECC, are becoming increasingly susceptible to attacks due to quantum computation, thus requiring quantum-proofing of communication systems. In this research, a Hybrid Quantum-Resistant Communication Architecture (H-QRCF) is proposed to enable secure communication between distributed e-learning services using post-quantum cryptography, along with light symmetric encryption and secure authentication. The hybrid framework consists of post-quantum key exchanges, AES-256 symmetric encryptions, SHA-3 hash functions, and session authentication. The entire communication system was developed in Python 3.11 and tested in a distributed communication network environment composed of 25 distributed e-learning service nodes and 50,000 secure communication instances. Results were obtained on six important performance parameters, including encryption time, decryption time, throughput, packet delivery ratio, communication overhead, and security strength. The experimental results confirmed that the proposed H-QRCF architecture provided significantly improved results compared to other techniques such as RSA, ECC, AES-RSA Hybrid, and classical post-quantum approaches. With the proposed technique, the encryption time is reduced to 63 ms and the decryption time is reduced to 68 ms, delivering a throughput of 78 Mbps and a packet delivery ratio of 98.7%. Furthermore, the proposed approach ensures minimal communication overhead of 12% and 98% defense against various types of attacks, including replay attack, impersonation attack, brute force attack, and quantum attack. An ablation study has also validated the benefits of using post-quantum key exchange, hybrid encryption, authentication, and session key refresh methods in the proposed approach.

Madhubala R, Prashanth Kumar Bolisetty

The fast growth of Internet of Things (IoT) networks has heightened the demand for secure, scalable and energy efficient communications methods. Traditional cryptographic techniques are more susceptible to quantum computing attacks and therefore have pushed the necessity for quantum secure methods. This study presents an energy efficient artificial intelligence assisted quantum secure communication framework designed to scale and provide reliable IoT networks. The framework uses Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) combined with deep learning optimization to improve both relationship and network performance. A self-adaptive AI module applies its lower level of computational resources and dynamically changing network conditions in order to optimize key management, routing decisions, and resource allocation, which reduces both energy consumption and communication latency. The proposed system is intended to support the specific types of constraints faced within an IoT environment. The experimental simulation results demonstrate that the framework improves energy efficiency, increases packet delivery ratio, and decreases latency in IVN (Intelligent Vehicular Networks) by comparison with traditional means of secure communication. In addition, by combining AI and quantum communications, we increase our resilience to threats posed by both classical and quantum forms of attack while providing an added layer of protection for transmitting data between devices in future wireless networks. Additionally, this proposed framework will provide a very scalable and effective method for providing IoT solutions within the environment of 5G mobile networks or later generations.

Mathematically-Driven Architectures and Cryptographic Protocols for Ultra-Reliable, LowLatency, and Scalable Secure Networking in PostQuantum 6G Communication Systems

Jagjit Singh Dhatterwal, Dipesh

The evolution of 6G communication systems brings about unprecedented demands on ultra-reliable, lowlatency, wide-scale and end-to-end secure transmissions. At the same time, the emergence of quantum computing presents major risks for traditional cryptographic schemes, which will become unsecure for future communication infrastructures. This arti-cle introduces the first mathematically inspired architectural framework incorporating Post-Quantum Cryptographic (PQC) protocols into the 6 G design to facilitate secure and efficient communication in quantum-inimical scenarios. The framework successfully integrates them so that lattice-based cryptography and code-based signatures or multivariate polynomials with low complexity could work with one another to implement real-time confidential communication concurrently with the authentication and key exchange, while meeting the requirements of latency and bandwidth. We propose a three-layer architecture, crypto-graphic-agile and mathematically optimized, that operates at: physical, MAC and network layers and focuses on the energy efficiency, computational offloading and dynamic proto-col adaptation. In addition, the paper proposes a suite of new benchmarking metrics for QKD systems based on security, latency, and scalability, and conducts forward-looking numerical calculations under both classical and entirely quantum-safe and hybrid classical-quantum threat models. The results in this study have confirmed that the mathematically-based cryptographic modes can serve as 6 G architecture part, that can guarantee quantum resilient secure networking. The paper also points out open issues and research directions toward the efficient integration of PQC into upcoming wireless standards. Finally, this work provides the foundation framework for secure, ultra-reliable, and low-latency communication to be realized in the post-quantum 6G era.
