Abstract

This paper is the thirty-eighth in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates rather than as a collection of independently existing objects. It opens the eleventh grouping — a Gate-VII / U3 audition. After the tenth grouping crossed the dynamical quantum-mechanics–gravity gates (IV–VI) but produced, in its own words, no distinctive empirical signature (Papers 36 and 37 flag U3 and Gate VII as unreached), the eleventh grouping asks whether the framework can force a distinctive world-side observable, rather than one more warrant-side redescription. Its three panels audit independent seams — this one dynamical, Paper 39 structural, Paper 40 the synthesis — each built to yield a definite result either way, so that a null is a genuine outcome rather than a failure. Panel 1 makes Paper 33's deferred magnitude dynamical. Its foil is the Global Heat Tax: the assumption that record backreaction is exhausted by a generic, arrow-blind energy bill, so that the localized excess of a public record gravitates exactly as a generic mass of the same total localized mass-energy and localization would. This foil is deliberately neither Paper 6's already-rejected universal per-bit heat tax nor Paper 33's already-separated source-versus-exported-cost confusion; it is the next question those papers leave open. We audit it in a purified gravitational record-export channel (Model M): a test mass in spatial superposition, and a genuine public record of its own content (with quantum-Darwinist redundancy, per-fragment error, and retention) that does not read the test mass, so that its exported fragments acquire a which-path imprint of the mass's branch only gravitationally, through the mass's branch-dependent Newtonian potential. Two quantities are separated cleanly. The mean localized record mass-energy sources a coherent phase (not decoherence); the fragments' branch distinguishability — governed by their internal-energy variance in the Pikovski time-dilation form — sources the dephasing, defined through the environmental overlap. Against a non-gerrymandered matched baseline (a maximum-entropy generic object of the same retained stress-energy, matched to the order the weak-field approximation keeps), the specificity discriminator reduces to the record's internal-energy variance versus the baseline's. The leading result is a null / reduction theorem. Because the internal-energy variance is a preparable state property, not fixed by mass-energy, a generic object can be specified with matching variance: the record-export channel is not framework-forced-distinct from a matched generic object unless the record's public/retained function constrains its internal-energy variance beyond what equilibrium can share. A concrete cold error-corrected record earns a baseline-relative shift against a passive-equilibrium reference, but that shift is not framework-forced, and an energy-budget ceiling bounds any residual (Gamma_rec below about 1e-22) far beneath realizable testability at tabletop scales; observability moreover requires that the common standard decoherence stay below the interference-visibility threshold, not merely cancel algebraically. On the shared U3Status rubric — whose first axis is split into a baseline-relative shift and a framework-forced shift — the seam scores BaselineRelativeShift positive but FrameworkForcedShift null and Testability null: a Gate-VII candidate at most in principle, not U3. The account is weak-field, bound-type, and per-branch; the dephasing model is a time-local (not necessarily Markovian) master equation, and no gravitational dynamics is derived. The null is treated as a precise map of what the seam cannot carry: it locates where a framework-specific gravitational signature would have to originate — a function-forced constraint on the record's internal-energy variance — and shows that the mere existence of a localized record source does not supply one. Presents no new physics; results are interpretive (L2) on imported physics (L1) and the framework's domain-general discipline (L2-G).

Common Record-History Dynamics Without a Global Unifier: One Adopted Kernel for Matter, Geometry, and Order

Tomoyuki Uchida

This paper is the forty-first in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates rather than as a collection of independently existing objects. It opens the twelfth grouping — the U3 construction program — and executes a declared mode shift: from audit to adoption. The eleventh grouping (Papers 38-40) audited three independent seams for a framework-forced world-side observable and returned three honest nulls; its capstone proved that adoption, typing, and matched-warrant witnesses alone do not generate U3 (dynamical unification with new physical predictions), and named the additional world-side postulate such content would cost. This paper pays the named cost explicitly, in public, at a typed level. It defines a new claim level, L3-A (adopted world-side dynamics postulate) — declared, parameterized, falsifiable, conditionality-tagged, normalized before prediction — and adopts at that level a common record-history kernel P_ker: one classical-quantum (GKSL-type CQ) generator whose fixed Lindblad operators are export-event operators driven by an adapted, classical, non-future-referencing record-export intensity J_rec, with eligibility thresholds (redundancy floor, retention floor, error ceiling, grain) fixed once at adoption for every system and every experiment, never re-tuned. The same operator family drives three faces — matter-side export decoherence (lambda_dec), geometry-side stochastic sourcing (lambda_diff, connected to Paper 38's variance budget by an adopted export-fluctuation sourcing law), and causal-order classicalization at the derived rate lambda_ord = kappa lambda_dec, with kappa computed from operator overlap, not tuned. Erasing the operator family anywhere erases it everywhere: that, not an analogy among three sectors, is what "common dynamics" means here. The flagship object is the admissible coefficient space A_ker of lambda = (lambda_dec, lambda_diff) under an eight-gate consistency system: complete positivity; operational no-signaling at the declared non-relativistic weak-field regime; the decoherence-diffusion trade-off floor of classical-quantum gravity — imported only after a normal-form placement derivation licenses its hypotheses for the export-localized kernel class, in operator form first and as a benchmarked scalar projection second; Paper 38's energy-budget ceiling through the displayed sourcing bridge; second-law accounting; and three data ceilings (molecular interferometry, mm-scale gravimetry, quantum-switch visibility), each carrying an explicit export-density-audit vacuousness branch. At the declared benchmark the gates leave an explicit admissible point (lambda_dec = 1e-2, lambda_diff = 1e-57 kg^2 s^2 per event), so A_ker is nonempty and the program proceeds. A distinctness lemma separates P_ker definitionally from universal mass-density CQ coupling, with the honest converse stated (empirical distinctness must be earned in Paper 43's rho_J-varying regimes, else the generic-CQ collapse branch fires); a calibration ledger fixes what the single calibration slot may ever buy; recovery conditions RC1/RC2a/RC2b/RC3 are defined here and owed by Paper 42; a closure map guarantees every branch of the grouping — consistency no-go, generic-CQ collapse, trade-off-underdetermined, recovery no-go, suppressed, excluded, or surviving window — ends in a definite, publishable result. The paper claims no gate crossing and no U3; it asserts none of the new physics it adopts; all downstream results are conditional on P_ker. The adopted postulate is genuinely new physics as a commitment (L3-A); the paper's own computations about it are interpretive (L2-Q) on imported physics (L1).

Public Quantum Records Without a Global Bookkeeper: Provenance-Admissible Standing for Redundant Quantum Records

Tomoyuki Uchida

This paper is the twenty-ninth in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates rather than as a collection of objects independently existing within spacetime. It returns the series to its physics-of-records basement after a long ascent through semantics, epistemology, agency, and the constitutive foundations of normative standing. Its question is narrow and physical: when does a quantum record that has been redundantly encoded in the environment count as a warranted public record — a record fit to be treated as shared, independently checkable, finality-graded evidence? Two prior papers already settled what this paper deliberately does not re-derive. Paper 3 established the world-side form of public finality for quantum records: a publicly final fact must be effectively classical pointer information, redundantly encoded across many disjoint environmental fragments, satisfying a demand-side redundancy bound, drawing on no-broadcasting, spectrum broadcast structure, and quantum Darwinism. Paper 8 separated, inside quantum mechanics, the temporal address of a record from its formation. The present paper adds the type-separation those two leave open: relational temporal address is not physical publicity capacity, and physical publicity capacity is not warranted public standing. The central result is a separation, not a new piece of physics. On the framework's declared anti-luck conception of warrant, meeting Paper 3's redundancy bound is necessary but not sufficient for warranted public standing. This is made precise in two steps. Unconditionally, two histories are constructed that realize the identical audited reduced state on the system and its environmental fragments — and, where stability is at issue, the identical audited reduced process over an audit interval — hence the identical spectrum-broadcast structure, redundancy, fidelity, and accessibility, so that no functional of the audited state alone can tell them apart — yet whose target-relative provenance profiles differ: in one, the fragments branch after the recorded event into mutually independent system–environment interactions; in the other, they pass after that event through an additional common source. It follows that provenance admissibility is not a functional of the audited quantum state. Conditionally, under a declared anti-luck calibration in which the second history's additional common bottleneck, selective retention, and closed challenge path constitute a defeater, the two histories receive different warranted-public-standing profiles. So warranted public standing tracks provenance, not redundancy alone — and not by stipulation, but because a recovery whose apparent independent agreement is an artifact of a single source is, in the series' anti-luck sense, unwarranted. The quantum publicity ceiling itself — that only effectively commuting content can be exactly public — is imported as background, not claimed as novel. The paper further shows that no quantum record certifies its own warranted public standing from inside, and that an adequate relational temporal address does not by itself confer public standing. All of this holds without a Global Bookkeeper: no physically privileged subsystem inside a consistency-constrained quantum information history supplies, primitively and globally, a non-contextual valuation, a privileged simultaneity, a canonical subsystem cut, a unique classical history, a self-certifying finality, or a global reference frame. Quantum Geometry Without a Global Background: Superposed Metrics, Event Identity, and Relational Localization Beyond Fixed Spacetime

Tomoyuki Uchida

This paper is the thirty-second in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates rather than as a collection of independently existing objects. It opens the ninth grouping — the quantum-mechanics–gravity interface trilogy (32 Quantum Geometry → 33 Records Backreacting on Geometry → 34 Causal Structure Without a Global Order) — and is the first paper to cross Gate IV (geometry sensitivity): the metric is no longer a fixed background but a quantum degree of freedom. Papers 8 and 31 localized records relationally but on one fixed geometry, where a frame-change groupoid on the shared space made localization objective. When the geometry is itself superposed there is no physically privileged cross-branch map — a common manifold, if used, is mathematical scaffolding, not a physical identification — so that groupoid has no physical domain, and a tempting shortcut appears: compare the branches on one external background and read "the same event" off coordinate coincidence. The claim is that there is no Global Background. The hole argument's lesson — that a record-formation event is individuated by relational coincidences and what is recorded there, not by a manifold point (Einstein's point-coincidence resolution; Stachel, 2014; Rovelli, 2002) — does not merely survive into the quantum case; it sharpens into a problem no background can solve: across inequivalent geometry branches even the relational strategy must be carried by a declared, admissibility-constrained comparison map. Throughout, an event is a record-formation event, kept type-distinct from the record token and from its provenance; unrecorded events are out of scope. The flagship R-A is a separation, not a denial: there is a two-branch geometry-superposition state for which the background-label map (a presentation artifact identifying events by the external labels used to write the branches down) and the admissible relational/provenance comparison return different verdicts, and only the latter is invariant under relabeling. So event identity is not background-readable; primitive identity gives way to identity under an admissible comparison map, where admissibility requires relabeling/gauge-invariance, a support (witness-neighborhood) condition, provenance preservation, anti-gerrymander, and challenge-openness — and the background-label map is the foil, not one admissible map. A worked finite model — two branches presented as record-coincidence graphs with no shared vertex set, including a harder case with the same labels and same contents but non-isomorphic structure — computes the divergence and the determinate / admissibly-open / incomparable trichotomy. R-B extends Paper 31's localization profile to a geometry-indexed GeoLocProf that strictly generalizes it (Paper 31 is the single-geometry degenerate case), built over an identity fiber rather than treating one event as recurring in several branches. R-C lifts the disposition trichotomy to geometry branches. R-D handles region and local-algebra correspondence as induced-where-possible or declared/deferred. This crosses Gate IV, carries Paper 9's record arrow into the interface as a provenance-compatibility clause, retires the Global Background, and hands backreaction to Paper 33 and causal order to Paper 34. Geometry is quantum; its dynamics is not derived. ALAC Paper 32. First panel of the ninth grouping — the quantum-mechanics–gravity interface trilogy (32 Quantum Geometry Without a Global Background -> 33 Records Backreacting on Geometry -> 34 Causal Structure Without a Global Order). Recovery of Standard Limits Without a Global Reducer: Unitary Matter, Newtonian Sourcing, and the One Calibration of an Adopted Classical-Quantum Kernel

Tomoyuki Uchida

This paper is the forty-second in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates rather than as a collection of independently existing objects. It is the recovery panel of the twelfth grouping — the U3 construction program — and it adopts nothing new. Paper 41 adopted, at the claim level L3-A defined there, the common record-history kernel P_ker (one classical-quantum GKSL-type generator whose fixed Lindblad operators are export-event operators driven by a classical, adapted record-export intensity), computed a nonempty admissible coefficient space, and left four obligations to this paper: the recovery conditions RC1/RC2a/RC2b and the single calibration RC3, under a binding ledger (one calibration, spent on lambda_dec only; lambda_diff carried as a gate-bounded prediction band; thresholds never re-tuned). This paper executes them. RC1 is proved as a theorem: in any sector containing no certified export channels, the kernel's matter/order dynamics is exactly unitary — a sector statement, not a coefficient limit, and not a claim that unexported mass ceases to gravitate. RC2a is proved as a bounded-residual theorem: the Newtonian baseline drift is fixed by definition to the imported Newtonian classical-quantum mean dynamics, the export correction is shown to be cell-mean-zero by the decomposition bookkeeping (with the adopted sourcing law's first moment checked — a real failure mode, not realized), and the residual mean-source shift is dipole-suppressed below every declared class tolerance delta_g(class); the honest status row records that no current class co-locates audited export density with a Newtonian-verification measurement, so the world-side probe is today bounded, not probed. RC2b is split in advance: an executed compatibility check — the Jacobson-route hypotheses of Paper 36 reduced row by row to declared criteria with declared tolerances, of which the normalization row is satisfied (G an input, never an output), the entropy-monotonicity row is satisfied under a displayed record-basis pinching condition, and the local-equilibrium and Clausius-defect rows are fixed as criteria whose concrete exhibition and evaluation are assigned to Paper 43's audit program (no row failed; the which-entropy circularity imported as a live defect) — and a typed covariant debt (relativistic microcausality, dressed sources, species), named and not discharged. RC3 is spent exactly once, on the single calibration benchmark declared before any dephasing datum was consumed: the measured measurement-induced dephasing of a dispersively read superconducting qubit (Schuster et al. 2005; channel model Gambetta et al. 2006). The audit is non-vacuous by construction: certified exports are the output-port photons insofar as their field modes are amplified into the retained quadrature record at the declared grain — the certified intensity is nu_eff = eta_cert kappa nbar with eta_cert = eta_ext eta_rec, the output coupling times the record-chain efficiency, both declared as intervals — and the per-event pointer-overlap deficit is computed from the device's spectroscopic parameters (2 chi / kappa = 1.0, so the which-state information is fully exported per photon). The declared linear fit proves mathematically inapplicable at this device's measurement strength, so the extraction is executed as a documented protocol-deviation conservative bound — a declared-tolerance ceiling read against the source's own validated line-shape model, from text-stated quantities only, with a full sensitivity table — and the source's data show no excess dephasing beyond that model: the calibration returns not a point but the pre-declared gate-truncated band Lambda_cal = [5e-5, 2.1], computed at the conservative corner of the declared inputs (including the record-chain efficiency) so the dominant systematics sit inside the band; the two bookkeepings of standard budget and kernel excess are ledger-distinct while the physical carriers may overlap. The band is nonempty, so the normalization survives: lambda_dec is bounded above, for the first time, by a declared-tolerance reading of laboratory line-shape data (a factor of five below Paper 41's illustrative interferometric ceiling at the most conservative record-chain reading, tightening to a factor of fifty under the architecture-level reading), lambda_dec = 0 is never carried (the trade-off floor truncates from below), and the normalized kernel — the lambda_dec band, the lambda_diff prediction band, the computed order coefficient, the unchanged thresholds — is handed to Paper 43. The retired authority is the Global Reducer: the demand that an adopted dynamics earn its standing only by a globally certified exact reduction of the established theories. Its methodological face falls to the construction — exact-but-sector-relative unitarity, on-average Newtonian sourcing over declared classes, imported-route compatibility at declared order, and declared-calibration normalization are how correspondence is legitimately held; its substantive face (one true global reduction) is declined, not refuted. Every result is conditional on P_ker; the calibration datum is spent, never scored; no gate is crossed and no U3 is claimed.

Scalar Clocks, Awareness Tensors, and Gravity as Time Decoherence: Three Testable Predictions for Record-Sensitive Geometry

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

This manuscript develops three concrete, falsifiable predictions based on a framework in which time and space are operationally equivalent, and classical reality is understood as the record. In this scalar-clock / awareness-tensor / Trinity picture, an observation is any physical process that stabilizes correlations into durable, revisitable records, and gravity is interpreted as time decoherence: clock-locking and time selection into dominant mass time-zones. The paper introduces three phenomenological parameters that are exactly zero in standard GR+QM: (i) ϵ\epsilonϵ, the sensitivity of co-located clock rates to engineered decoherence and monitoring strength; (ii) η\etaη, the sensitivity of effective gravitational acceleration to record-export structure at fixed mass distribution; and (iii) a scalar time-mismatch scale ΔT∗\Delta T_\astΔT∗, beyond which interference visibility near a mass exhibits a protocol-dependent threshold. These parameters are tied to operational proxies: clock-locking depth, time mismatch, and coupling gradients. From this framework, three testable predictions follow: Entanglement-dependent time dilation: Two identical, co-located precision clocks in the same gravitational potential but in different record-coupling regimes (high vs. low monitoring and decoherence) should exhibit a small, persistent differential drift that tracks clock-locking depth, not altitude or velocity. Gravity modulation by engineered decoherence: In a torsion balance, atom interferometer, or precision gravimeter, the measured acceleration toward a test mass should differ slightly between “decoherence OFF” and “decoherence ON” conditions, even when the mass distribution and EM fields are unchanged. The key signature is a protocol-locked Δg\Delta gΔg that appears only when scattered quanta are recorded, not when the same fields are present but their outputs are dumped locally. Entanglement horizon near mass: In a matter-wave interferometer, as one arm approaches a mass (or as the mass is increased), interference visibility should drop at a characteristic threshold set by scalar-clock mismatch and record structure. This defines an “entanglement horizon” in time-mismatch space, distinct from smooth environmental decoherence. For each effect, the paper defines explicit null hypotheses, identifies leading systematics, and sketches minimal experimental protocols compatible with current or near-term optical clocks, gravimetry, and matter-wave interferometry platforms. A brief CPT-compatibility analysis clarifies that microscopic dynamics remain CPT-symmetric in the usual QFT sense; any asymmetries arise only at the coarse-grained level of record formation and clock-locking. The proposals can therefore be read either as parameterized extensions of GR+QM using measurement architecture as an additional knob, or as an operational test of a broader “gravity as time decoherence” interpretation in which geometry becomes explicitly record-sensitive. This Version 2 is a revised and expanded update of the original upload, adding a phenomenology-first summary, clarifying the roles of the parameters (ϵ,η,ΔT∗)(\epsilon,\eta,\Delta T_\ast)(ϵ,η,ΔT∗), and situating the framework more explicitly relative to existing work on gravity-related decoherence, hybrid classical–quantum gravity, and clock/interferometry proposals (Diósi–Penrose, Bassi, Anastopoulos–Hu, Oppenheim, Zych–Costa–Pikovski–Brukner, Bose et al.). The updated version explicitly restricts the criterion to record-sensitive effects, rather than any effect. It explicitly spells out what “record formation on/off” means in practice: detectors and logging are turned on/off while the physical fields are held fixed, i.e., outputs are either stored or not stored. This version tightens falsifiability and lab usability. It (i) commits to explicit benchmark model families for the three predictions, each reducing to standard physics when ϵ=η=κ=0\epsilon=\eta=\kappa=0ϵ=η=κ=0; (ii) defines an unambiguous export-axis variable via the exported mutual-information rate I˙XR\dot I_{XR}I˙XR and export depth E\mathcal{E}E, enabling cross-platform comparisons; (iii) adds a fully worked, platform-specific optical lattice clock pilot (C1 vs C2 export-only toggle) including invariance audits, confound/error budgeting, preregistered power/discriminability analysis, and an end-to-end analysis pipeline; and (iv) upgrades mandatory reporting/preregistration templates so null results produce publishable bounds on (ϵ,η,κ)(\epsilon,\eta,\kappa)(ϵ,η,κ).

Causal Structure Without a Global Order: Indefinite Operational Order, Record Formation, and Effective Causal Order at the Quantum-Geometry Interface

Tomoyuki Uchida

This paper is the thirty-fourth in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates rather than as a collection of independently existing objects. It is the capstone (third panel) of the ninth grouping — the quantum-mechanics–gravity interface trilogy (32 Quantum Geometry → 33 Records Backreacting on Geometry → 34 Causal Structure Without a Global Order) — and closes that trilogy. Its core physics is the process-matrix framework (Oreshkov, Costa, & Brukner, 2012), with the quantum switch (Chiribella et al., 2013) as the worked instance and causal (non)separability as the central classification. When the order of operations is quantum-controlled — and, at the interface, when geometry is superposed so different branches carry different causal graphs — the temptation is to posit a hidden definite global total order behind the indefiniteness. The thesis is that there is no Global Causal Sequencer; P1 is a declared architectural commitment, not a theorem, and a rival that posits a deeper definite order underwriting the indefiniteness is acknowledged but declined architecturally. R-A: indefinite operational order is not causal inconsistency or a closed loop — a coherent superposition of order components is causally nonseparable (witness-certifiable; note that witness-based nonseparability and causal-inequality violation are not equivalent, and the quantum switch need not violate a causal inequality) yet a valid, consistent process. R-B (restricted to controlled-order processes such as the quantum switch, or any process with a declared physically recorded order-control observable): recording the order-control does not by itself produce a determinate order — one must distinguish the coherent control, the decohered-but-unconditioned causally separable mixture, and the conditioned record-relative effective order — only the last is determinate, and only relative to a recorded value and the declared parameter chi, whose order-control basis is an admissible decoherence-stable pointer basis/algebra (not an arbitrary rotation). R-C: causal structure is profile-valued, CausalProf = (d_order, d_interv, d_record, d_valid, d_family, d_arrow), with a process-validity (not graph-acyclicity) component and an independent record-arrow component from Paper 9's arrow package. R-D (the novelty witness): effective order is provenance-gradable — a matched pair of histories with identical audited world-side order records but different provenance yields different warranted standing (OrderStandProf). R-E: a conservative-before-radical discipline works indefinite operational order first, then a minimal superposed-causal-graph bridge on Paper 32's identity fibers, separating an identity disposition from an order disposition; full quantization of the causal relation is flagged, not claimed. This retires the Global Causal Sequencer and closes the interface trilogy; no causal loops, no retrocausal signaling, no revived global order, no quantum-gravity completion. Presents no new physics; results are interpretive (L2) on imported physics (L1).

Presents no new quantum mechanics or gravitation; results are interpretive (L2) on imported physics (L1).
