Closure Action and Representation Transfer

Abstract

Several fundamental physical relations share a mathematical structure in which the product of two conjugate quantities equals an invariant constant. Representative examples include the energy-period relation ET = h (where T = 1/f is the oscillation period and h is Planck’s constant), the momentum-wavelength relation pλ = h (the de Broglie relation), and the frequency-wavelength dispersion relation fλ = c. Although these expressions originate from quantum mechanics, wave mechanics, and electromagnetism respectively, each belongs to the generalized class XY = K, where K is an invariant constant. Their shared algebraic form raises the question of whether a common organizational principle underlies physical representation. This paper proposes the Foundational Principle of Closure Representation as an interpretational framework. Within this framework, action is adopted as the foundational quantity, and closure is introduced as a representation-independent measure of cyclic completion, defined by the condition Δθ = 2π. Planck’s constant h is interpreted as the action associated with one completed closure—consistent with the Bohr–Sommerfeld quantization condition ∮p dq = nh. The Planck relation E = hf is accordingly understood as the product of action per closure and closure rate per unit time. A representation-transfer relation (RX)(Y/R) = XY is introduced, where R is a dimensionless representation coordinate. A measurable realization is given by R = λC/λdB = p/(mc), coinciding with the standard relativistic quantity γβ. This relation is a mathematical identity; its physical significance lies in the proposed interpretation of R as a representation coordinate characterizing the distribution of closure action between conjugate observables. The proposed framework does not introduce new physical laws, modify established equations, or claim to supersede existing theories. It provides a unified interpretational architecture within which several established reciprocal relations—connecting action, closure, wavelength, frequency, momentum, and propagation—may be understood as instances of a common closure-action structure.

Representation Preservation and Closure Geometry: A Representation-Theoretic Framework for Reciprocal Physical Invariants

Abdullah Al-Naddah

Fundamental physics contains a family of reciprocal relations that appear in distinct theoretical contexts yet share an identical mathematical structure. The wave propagation relation fλ = c [1], the photon energy relation Eλ = hc [3], the matter-wave relation pλ = h [4], and the quantum of action ET = h [2] each preserve the product of two complementary observable quantities through one or more universal constants. These relations arise independently within classical electrodynamics, photon physics, and quantum mechanics, and their common reciprocal structure is generally attributed to mathematical coincidence rather than an underlying common principle. This work investigates whether these relations can be understood as different representations of a common invariant physical content, connected through a principle of representation preservation. The development proceeds in three stages. First, the general mathematical condition imposed by invariant physical content under changes of representation is derived, establishing that complementary representations must transform reciprocally (Theorem 1). Second, a geometric construction based on synchronized concentric circular representations is introduced, from which a representation length emerges through arc differences. Third, the experimentally established constants c [1, 16] and h [2] are introduced as independent normalization principles governing propagation and action, respectively, connecting the abstract geometric structure to measurable physical quantities. Within this framework, the standard wave relation, the photon energy relation, the de Broglie matter-wave relation, and the quantum of action are recovered as complementary representations of the same invariant physical content (Sect. 9). A representation operator is formally defined and shown to form a one-parameter commutative group of content-preserving transformations (Propositions 1–4, Sect. 7). The representation coordinate is computed for the hydrogen ground state, yielding the fine-structure constant α as the dimensionless representation coordinate of the electronic ground state (Sect. 11). The framework does not replace established physical theories nor derive the numerical values of the fundamental constants. It proposes instead a unified geometric interpretation in which wavelength, frequency, momentum, energy, and time appear as reciprocal representations connected through propagation and action normalization.

Planck's Constant from First Principles: A Completion-Locked Structural Derivation of the Unique Quantum of Action

Salimah H Meghani

This paper gives a first-principles structural derivation of Planck’s constant within the completion-locked closure framework. The derivation begins from a completion-locked phase–time–energy structure in which admissible phase-frequency comparisons are fixed before energy observables are compared. It does not assume the numerical value of Planck’s constant, the Planck–Einstein energy–frequency law, the standard Hamiltonian phase convention, or canonical commutator normalization. Instead, the action scale is derived from a projective phase carrier, a strongly continuous time-translation representation with Stone angular-frequency generator, an admissible class of energy observables for the same deformation, a sector-rich and spectrally exhaustive comparison structure, and, for dimensional reporting only, a unit convention. The main representation theorem proves that any admissible energy observable satisfying spectral affiliation, direct-sum naturality, tensor-product additivity, zero normalization, continuity, positivity orientation, spectral exhaustivity, and common-source descent must be linear in the Stone generator. This yields a unique reduced action scale, from which the full-cycle quantum of action follows by circle normalization. The Planck–Einstein energy–frequency law is then derived as a consequence of the same structure rather than assumed as an input. The paper also establishes conditional action-unit closure pathways. A certified electromagnetic response branch supplies one action-unit closure path, while a certified curvature–vacuum branch supplies a second through an independently derived source vacuum invariant. A single certified dimensional branch determines the action unit within its unit convention; two same-source certified branches overdetermine the same action unit and therefore must agree. Since Planck’s constant is dimensional, its decimal value becomes meaningful only after an action-unit convention or certified dimensional branch has been specified. Under the post-2019 SI convention, the numerical value of Planck’s constant is exact by definition. The structural contribution of the paper is to identify Planck’s constant not as an empirical insertion into quantum dynamics, but as the derived action-conversion invariant relating phase-frequency generation to physical energy observables, with independent electromagnetic and curvature–vacuum closure paths for the same action unit. Towards a Relational Account of Spacetime Symmetries and Structural Scales: An Axiomatic Framework and Algebraic Minimal Realization Based on Observation–Feedback Closure

Ci Song

This work presents a two-stage first-principles construction for foundational physics. In the first stage, an axiomatic framework is introduced in which physical objecthood is defined exclusively through participation in observation–feedback (OF) processes. At this axiomatic level, no background spacetime, metric, Hilbert space, or symmetry group is assumed a priori. In the second stage, a minimal faithful realization of this framework is adopted, consisting of a set of explicitly stated, controlled algebraic choices that support finite operational distinguishability. Within this minimal realization, a hierarchy of physically significant structures is consistently represented: an internal O(3) symmetry with oriented SO(3) sectors; a Lorentz-type kinematical structure with invariant group SO⁺(3,1) (the proper orthochronous Lorentz group) and an associated invariant propagation scale that occupies the structural role of the conventional speed c; and a minimal closure scale that, under standard action-dimensional normalization, plays a structural role analogous to that of the reduced Planck constant ℏ. This construction thus provides a unified relational setting in which the core kinematical architectures of special relativity and quantum mechanics admit a consistent, operationally grounded representation, realized under explicitly stated minimal assumptions. No derivation of dynamical equations or direct identification with empirical spacetime geometry is claimed.

Closure-Induced Complex Structure in Registration Theory: From Conjugate Involution to Compact Phase Action and Algebraic Registration Classes

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

This paper develops a closure-induced complex-structure construction within Registration Theory (RT). Earlier RT work established, under stated assumptions or within canonical finite models, involutive conjugate exchange, hyperbolic reciprocal mixing, retained/current organization, parity structures, invariant closure, persistent localization, receiver-conditioned consequence, and bilateral participant-exchange structures. The present work identifies a precise algebraic bridge between these structures. If persistent closure selects a common two-component sector on which conjugate exchange and closure-orientation parity are involutions and anticommute, then their composition necessarily defines a complex structure whose square is -I. The associated one-parameter action is therefore compact and 2pi-periodic, and closed orbits of that action possess integer winding classes. The result provides a possible Registration Theory route from continuous registration dynamics to algebraically discrete organizational classes without requiring a postulated minimum physical scale. The paper carefully separates this exact algebraic result from two remaining open problems: deriving the common closed sector from primitive registration dynamics, and showing that physically individuated registration succession is generated by or faithfully represented by the compact phase action. The paper also clarifies the ontological ordering of Registration Theory. Registration and registered organization are treated as prior to symmetry descriptions, while space-, time-, and energy-facing variables are treated as mutually related registered expressions rather than independent primitive substances. Normalization geometries are treated as model realizations unless separately derived. The work does not claim a derivation of quantum mechanics, Hilbert space, the Born rule, Planck's constant, electric charge, spin, particle spectra, mass, radiation, gauge theory, or the Standard Model. Its contribution is narrower: it identifies an exact RT-specific algebraic route by which two involutive registration operations can induce a compact complex structure and possible discrete organizational classes, while keeping the remaining physical realization problems explicit.

A significant question in quantum foundations

Juliana H. J. Mortenson

Is the formalism of quantum mechanics complete? Examination of Max Karl Planck's original quantum work suggests the answer is "No".1-3 Retrospective analysis of Planck's foundational quantum derivation suggests that his action constant ("h") is actually the product of an energy constant ("h̃") and a time variable (tm"). Planck's ground-breaking quantum formula, "E = hν" (E is energy and ν is frequency) may more appropriately be denoted as, "E = h̃tmν". The energy constant represents the energy of a single oscillation or wave of electromagnetic (EM) energy, and is constant regardless of frequency, wavelength or photon energy. The time variable (as originally defined by Planck) is the measurement time of the electromagnetic energy. The invariance of the EM energy constant over a change in time or space suggests it represents a universal constant for light. Retrospective evaluation also reveals that Planck inadvertently fixed the EM measurement time (tm) at a value of one (1) second, thereby significantly limiting the time variable's degrees of freedom. Implications appear to be profound for restoring infinite degrees of freedom to the EM measurement time variable. Quantum re-interpretation using the energy constant and measurement time variable suggest conservation of energy, momentum and mass for a single oscillation of light. A deeper layer of foundations in physics may yet need to be built.

Planck's Quantum of Action as the Minimum Reorganization Scale of the Space-Phase Medium: A Groove-Based Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics

James E Beecham

Planck introduced the constant ℎ as the elementary quantum of action, yet its repeatedappearance throughout quantum physics remains one of the deepest structural features ofmodern science. The same constant governs photon energy, matter waves, Schrödingerevolution, angular momentum quantization, and Heisenberg uncertainty. This paperproposes a Space-Phase (SP3) interpretation in which Planck's constant is not primarily aproperty of matter or radiation but an intrinsic action scale of an underlying conditionablemedium. The medium is modeled conceptually as a flexible, interconnected Planck-scale meshcapable of storing, releasing, and transporting energy through localized reorganizationevents. Stable particles correspond to persistent conditioned basins within this mesh, while propagating radiation represents traveling reorganizations of the same medium. Agroove-based analogy is introduced in which observable physical change requires themedium to reorganize by at least one elementary unit of action. The uncertainty relationsare interpreted as minimum reorganization criteria rather than solely mathematical limitsarising from wavefunctions. Planck's relation, de Broglie's relation, Schrödinger's equation, and Heisenberg's uncertainty principle are mapped to this common organizing principle. The paper presents a qualitative framework intended to motivate future mathematicaldevelopment of an SP3 description of quantum action
