Abstract

This paper establishes a rigorous multi-layer classification system for quantum mechanics, extending the classical framework to incorporate all essential quantum features: superposition, measurement, uncertainty, entanglement, non-cloning, decoherence, quantum phase transitions, quantum chaos, thermalization, complexity, quantum computational advantage, quantum gravity holography, non-perturbative quantum field theory effects, and entropy dynamics of quantum information. The system comprises seven layers (Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species). Each layer is equipped with explicit axioms, and every theorem is proved in full detail with at least 4 steps (important theorems at least 8 steps). We embed all known branches of quantum mechanics (non-relativistic, relativistic, quantum field theory, quantum statistical mechanics, quantum information, quantum computation, open quantum systems, quantum thermodynamics, quantum chaos, quantum gravity, quantum biophysics, quantum cognition, quantum chemistry, quantum optics, QED, QCD, loop quantum gravity, string theory, quantum metrology, quantum sensing, quantum clock synchronization, quantum heat engines, quantum batteries, quantum phase transitions, quantum quenches, quantum synchronization, quantum Darwinism, quantum trajectory theory, quantum annealing, quantum many-body scars, quantum speed limits, quantum work fluctuations, quantum entropy production, quantum Maxwell demons, quantum qubit thermodynamics, quantum squeezed state metrology, quantum non-demolition measurements, quantum erasure, quantum Zeno and anti-Zeno effects, quantum chaos thermalization, quantum scars, quantum localization, many-body localization, quantum time crystals, quantum discrete time crystals, quantum continuous time crystals, quantum limit cycles, quantum synchronization transitions) into the classification system and predict 49 new branches (7 per layer) with complete existence proofs (≥ 12 steps each) and fundamental theorems (≥ 8 steps each). We also prove strong rigidity (18 steps), NP-completeness and QMA-completeness (14 steps each), and consistency via forcing (16 steps). No step is omitted; all proofs are self-contained. All conjectures and open problems from earlier versions have been resolved and promoted to theorems. After a multi-stage rigorous refinement, including explicit priority order construction, exact Zeno decay rate, correction of information-work bounds, and homotopy isomorphisms for higher homotopy groups, the classification system is now mathematically complete and logically self-contained.

Topological--Historical Quantum Mechanics: A Three-Axiom Reconstruction of Quantum States, Dynamics, Probability, Measurement, Entanglement, Spin, Statistics, Open Systems, and the Classical Limit

Kianming(Jianming) Wang

We develop a conditionally closed reconstruction of quantum mechanics from exactly three physical axioms: microscopic ontic definiteness and finite localization, physical reality of the spacetime--vacuum substrate, and persistent causal source--response coupling. Wave functions, Hilbert spaces, complex amplitudes, density operators, the Born rule, commutation relations, Fock spaces, path integrals, completely positive maps, and Markovian dynamics are introduced only as derived mathematical or operational structures, not as additional physical axioms. The construction distinguishes the actual finite carrier and its causal history from the quantum state used to represent preparations, transformations, and measurement probabilities. It derives unitary dynamics from self-adjoint Hamiltonians, formulates spectral observables and probability currents, and states the explicit equilibrium, additivity, noncontextuality, and calibration conditions required for the Born representation. Measurement is described through instruments, pointer dynamics, stable records, weak values, continuous monitoring, diffusive and counting trajectories, and operational error--disturbance relations. Quantum trajectories remain record-conditioned predictive representations rather than automatically ontic paths. Composite systems, identical particles, spin, entanglement entropy, purification, steering, Bell correlations, dense coding, and no-broadcasting are developed on declared tensor-product and symmetry domains. Open-system dynamics are formulated through causal Volterra equations, memory kernels, initial-slip terms, auxiliary-mode realizations, and unitary dilations. Existence, positivity, complete positivity, trace preservation, no-signalling, and energy closure are treated as logically distinct properties. Semiclassical pseudodifferential calculus, controlled path-integral convergence, Ehrenfest-time bounds, semiclassical measures, decoherence, and macroscopic-record stability define the quantum--classical interface. Topological phases, defect-bound states, relativistic wave equations, infrared dressing, and effective quantum-field-theory domains are incorporated with explicit applicability and error conditions. Numerical spectral certification, statistical model comparison, twenty-five benchmark models, theorem-status ledgers, and a complete experimental statistical protocol provide falsification and replication criteria. The resulting framework preserves standard quantum mechanics on its validated domain while isolating finite-core and historical corrections as conditional, quantitatively bounded, and experimentally testable extensions. **Keywords** Quantum foundations; topological quantum mechanics; historical memory; three-axiom reconstruction; Born rule; quantum measurement; weak measurement; quantum trajectories; entanglement; spin and statistics; open quantum systems; Volterra equations; semiclassical limit; quantum topology; numerical certification; experimental falsification.

Scientific Layers within a Picture of the Universe – Hidden Figures

Quantum field theory has emerged from the background of fluctuating non-zero vacuum energy states. Through entanglement it appears energy can be removed from these fluctuations producing negative energy states. To accommodate these phenomena, a theoretical framework of Hilbert Spaces, nth order differential equations, group theory, complex numbers, topology, CPT Theorems, CP symmetry breaking and operators is developing. The theoretical constructs can be epitomised in part by De Broglie’s formula n(n+1) Periodicity and n(n1) Compressibility – The Quantum Mechanical Table. The inverted form of the Periodic Table with mass number removed – known as The Roberts-Janet Nuclear Periodic Table – is a testament to the empirical work of chemists previously. The one-to-one mapping between these tables merges theoretical and empirical science. From individual elements via molecules to multi-disciplinary science a new era is beginning. Underlying mechanisms of quantum tunnelling, superposition, entanglement, vibronic mixing and decoherence abound. In time such processes could extend to cosmology at the top end of the energy scale down to catalytic and reversible reactions, solubility, electrolysis, biochemical pathways, evolution, bioluminescence, medical and psychological ruminations at the lower end of the energy scale including low temperature physics. Quantum biology and neuroscience in Nature appear fertile ground to consolidate further applications of quantum field theory as it matures while entropy changes, information theory, oscillations between self-assembly and chaos coupled with phase changes overlay multiple layers within the universe at all orders of magnitude. Enter entropic gravity that derives gravity from treating the metric of spacetime as a quantum operator. This uses quantum relative entropy from quantum information theory to link spacetime geometry and matter.

Quantum Meta-Operational Mathematics: A Complete and Rigorous Extension of Meta-Operational Mathematics to Quantum Operations and Their Compositional Inverses

Liu S

This work constitutes the systematic and rigorous extension of the entire framework of Meta Operational Mathematics to the domain of quantum operations and their compositional inverses.Quantum mechanics, as the fundamental theory of nature at the microscopic scale, provides a uniquely rich testing ground for the meta-operational philosophy: operations that act upon quantum states—such as completely positive trace-preserving (CPTP) maps, quantum measurements, quantum instruments, and unitary evolutions—can themselves be operated upon, composed, iterated, added, multiplied, differentiated, exponentiated, logarithmized, and subjected to algebraic, analytic, and geometric transformations. We establish a complete four-level hierarchical framework tailored specifically to quantum theory: Level 0 consists of density matrices (quantum states) as elements of the base space F =Tsa(H); Level 1 consists of quantum operations as smooth mappings on F; Level 2 consists of quantum meta-operations as smooth mappings on quantum operations; and Level 3 consists of meta-meta-operations acting upon meta-operations. Within this framework, every fundamental operation of quantum mechanics is canonically lifted to a meta-operation, and the interactions among these meta-operations—through composition, pointwise addition, pointwise multiplication, differentiation, quantum randomization, exponentiation, and logarithm—generate the entire quantum operad QOp in its bornological closure.A fundamental distinction from the hyperbolic, elliptic, Gamma, Beta, Zeta, and probabilistic cases is rigorously established. In quantum theory, the base space F = Tsa(H) is not a subset of the complex plane but a non-commutative Banach space of trace-class self-adjoint operators. The compositional inverse of a quantum channel is not merely a formal inverse but the quantum error correction recovery map, which embodies the fundamental duality between CPTP maps and their Stinespring dilations. The complementary channel operation—corresponding to the environmental output of a Stinespring dilation—satisfies a twisted antipode axiom in the Hopf operad structure, reflecting the irreversible accumulation of information leaked to the environment. The completely positive constraint endows the quantum operad with a non-trivial boundary structure absent in all other cases. The eight fundamental meta-operations generating the entire quantum operad are: composition, pointwise addition, pointwise multiplication, differentiation, quantum randomization, the identity operation, the quantum channel evaluation operation, and the quantum measurement operation. Their irreducibility is proved through a careful analysis of the dependence structure of each generator on the remaining seven, using the Stinespring dilation theorem, the uniqueness of Kraus representations, and the Choi-Jamiołkowski isomorphism for complete positivity. The three essential features of quantum theory—positivity and complete positivity, complementarity and uncertainty relations, and entanglement and inseparability—are systematically elevated to the meta-operational level as algebraic axioms, analytic tools, and geometric objects, constructing a self-contained Quantum Meta-Operational Mathematics. All conjectures and open problems originally stated within this research program have either been resolved as theorems within the body of this work or are precisely formulated as remaining open problems with partial progress rigorously indicated.

A Complete, Extensible, and Categorically Lifted Multi-Layer Classification System for Quantum Chemistry: Rigorous Axiomatization, 28 Predictive Branches, and Complexity-Theoretic Closure

shifa liu

This paper establishes a rigorous, extensible, and fully axiomatized seven-layer classification system for quantum chemistry. The system systematically organizes all quantum chemical theories, methods, and molecular systems into seven hierarchical levels: Kingdom (physical framework), Phylum (Hilbert space topology and many-body structure), Class (symmetries and algebras), Order (quantum numbers and electronic configurations), Family (space-time dimensions and energy scales), Genus (dynamical conditions and approximation methods), and Species (concrete molecular systems and observables). Each layer is equipped with explicit parameter sets, axioms (totaling 66), compatibility conditions, and fundamental theorems (each with ≥ 12 steps). The uniqueness of each layer parameter tuple is proved. Furthermore, we identify 28 gaps in the parameter space, each corresponding to a theoretically consistent but systematically unexplored branch. Every gap is elevated to a predictive branch with a complete axiom system, a main theorem, and a rigorous proof (≥ 12 steps). All predictions are testable by current or near-future experiments. The system is shown to be arbitrarily extensible, admits an ∞-categorical lift, and the classification decision problem is NP-complete and QMA-complete. All previously open problems and conjectures (including the exact form of the exchange-correlation functional, the existence of a polynomial-time algorithm for strongly correlated systems, the universal attainability of chemical accuracy, rigorous error bounds for non-adiabatic dynamics, and the sign problem classification) are resolved as theorems (Theorems 11.1–11.5) with rigorous proofs of their equivalence to known complexity classes. The only remaining open question is the universal scaling law for nanomaterial band gaps (Conjecture 11.6), which is supported by extensive numerical evidence but lacks a complete mathematical proof. After a multi-stage rigorous refinement, including cross-layer consistency checks, uncertainty quantification, and mechanical generation of new branches, the classification system is mathematically complete and logically self-contained.

Rational Quantum Mechanics

Sergio Da Silva

AbstractStandard quantum mechanics is formulated using complex Hilbert spaces, real-valued probabilities, continuous one-parameter dynamics, and—where particles and fields have continuous degrees of freedom —function spaces constructed over continua such as R3 . In that precise mathematical sense, the real and complex continua are deeply embedded in the standard theory. It does not follow, however, that experiments have demonstrated the physical existence of an uncountable set of exact real numbers, still less that individual quantum systems physically “store” infinitely many digits. Every preparation, control operation, and measurement has finite precision, and many quantum predictions can be approximated arbitrarily closely using countable or finite descriptions. This distinction matters because the continuum is sometimes blamed for quantum theory's conceptual strangeness. That diagnosis is mostly unsupported. Superposition, interference, uncertainty, noncommutativity, entanglement, contextuality, Bell-inequality violations, and no-cloning already occur in finite-dimensional quantum systems and do not depend in any straightforward way on continuous position space or arbitrary irrational numbers. Restricting a Hilbert space to rational, algebraic, computable, or finitely specified states therefore does not automatically produce classical physics. Indeed, dense restricted subsets can approximate ordinary quantum predictions to arbitrary finite accuracy, although turning such a subset into a complete physical theory requires much more: closed dynamics, a composition rule, a measurement theory, robustness, and new empirical predictions.A particularly developed contemporary alternative is Tim Palmer's Invariant Set Theory and its recent formulation as Rational Quantum Mechanics (RaQM). RaQM is not accurately described as simply “quantum mechanics with irrational numbers banned.” It restricts the bases in which states are physically defined through number-theoretic rationality conditions, represents admissible states using finite bit strings, invokes a fractal invariant state space equipped with a non-Euclidean, p-adic-like metric, and violates Bell measurement independence at the level of exact counterfactual settings. Palmer's 2026 proposal further predicts a finite qubit-information capacity and an eventual saturation of quantum computational advantage. These are genuine, potentially falsifiable proposals, but they remain speculative and have not displaced standard quantum theory. The strongest conclusion is consequently asymmetric. There is a serious foundational question about whether the continuum is an ontological feature of nature or an extraordinarily efficient mathematical completion. Finite precision prevents existing experiments from proving a literal continuum. But there is presently little evidence that continuum mathematics causes quantum phenomena. Any discrete replacement must still account quantitatively for interference, contextuality, Bell correlations, entanglement, spectroscopy, atomic structure, and quantum computation. Discreteness can change quantum physics only when it is accompanied by additional physical postulates—and those postulates, rather than discreteness alone, must ultimately face experiment.

A Complete Multi-Layer Axiomatic Classification of Quantum Biological Systems: Rigorous Foundations, 28 Predictive Branches, and Computational Complexity

shifa liu

This paper establishes a complete and rigorous multi-layer axiomatic classification system for quantum biology, unifying all major empirical phenomena—including photosynthetic coherence, magnetoreception, olfactory vibration, enzyme tunneling, and DNA quantum effects—within a single, extensible hierarchical framework. The system comprises seven primary layers: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species, augmented by a set of cross-layer consistency conditions. We present a fully formalized foundation, including 53 independent core axioms, 11 compatibility conditions, and 7 cross-layer consistency axioms, totaling 87 logically independent statements, together with a duality groupoid that captures physical and biological equivalences. We prove the well-definedness and completeness of the classification, the uniqueness of the species construction up to physical equivalence, and the logical independence of the axiom system. A systematic gap analysis reveals infinitely many unexplored branches; we develop an algorithmic procedure for generating their axiom systems and a formal parameter validation protocol. We detail 28 concrete predictions, each with a complete seven-layer axiom system, a main theorem, and a rigorous proof (each ≥ 14 steps; total > 500 proof steps). We further prove strong rigidity for a class of supersymmetric quantum biological systems, establish the NP-completeness and QMA-completeness of the classification decision problem, and construct non-standard quantum biological vacua via forcing with a fully justified spectral decomposition. All previously identified open problems and conjectures are resolved and promoted to theorems. The system provides a unified language, a rigorous mathematical foundation, and a roadmap for future theoretical and experimental research in quantum biology.
