Decoherence of Entanglement and Quantum Memory Dynamics of Two Strongly Coupled Semiconductor Quantum Dots

Imed Kedim, Fahad Aljuaydi, Atta Ur Rahman +1 more

Abstract This study investigates the dynamics of two‐qubit quantum‐memory‐assisted (QMA) entropic uncertainty relation and entanglement in a system comprising two strongly coupled semiconductor pair quantum dots (SPQD). The influences of detuning, tunnel coupling, dipole‐dipole interaction, and intrinsic decoherence on the system's behavior are explored. Without decoherence, periodic fluctuations in entropic uncertainty driven by the inter‐dot coupling parameter , are observed, while entanglement remains negligible, reflecting the separable nature of the initial two‐qubit states. Introducing decoherence significantly alters these dynamics, with even low decoherence rates, an increased uncertainty and accelerated loss of coherence are observed when coupled with strong dipole interactions. The findings elucidate the complex interplay between entropic uncertainty and entanglement under intrinsic decoherence, highlighting challenges in maintaining quantum coherence. This work enhances the understanding of quantum dynamics in strongly coupled qubit systems and opens the doors for research to mitigate decoherence effects and improve quantum information processing.

The uncertainty and quantum correlation of measurement in double quantum-dot systems

Long-Yu Cheng, Fei Ming, Fa Zhao +2 more

In this work, we study the entropic uncertainty and quantum discord in two double-quantum-dot (DQD) system coupled via a transmission line resonator (TLR). Explicitly, the dynamics of the systemic quantum correlation and measured uncertainty are analysed with respect to a general X-type state as the initial state. Interestingly, it is found that the different parameters, including the eigenvalue α of the coherent state, detuning amount δ , frequency ω and the coupling constant g , have subtle effects on the dynamics of the entropic uncertainty, such as the oscillation period of the uncertainty. It is clear to reveal that the quantum discord and the lower bound of the entropic uncertainty are anti-correlated when the initial state of the system is the Werner-type state, while quantum discord and the lower bound of the entropic uncertainty are not anti-correlated when the initial state of the system is the Bell-diagonal state. Thereby, we claim that the current investigation would provide an insight into the entropic uncertainty and quantum correlation in DQDs system, and are basically of importance to quantum precision measurement in practical quantum information processing.

Quantum correlations and quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relation in a quantum dot system

Soroush Haseli

The uncertainty principle is one of the comprehensive and fundamental concept in quantum theory. This principle states that it is not possible to simultaneously measure two incompatible observatories with high accuracy. Uncertainty principle has been formulated in various form. The most famous type of uncertainty relation is expressed based on the standard deviation of observables. In quantum information theory the uncertainty principle can be formulated using Shannon and von Neumann entropy. Entropic uncertainty relation in the presence of quantum memory is one of the most useful entropic uncertainty relations. Due to their importance and scalability, solid state systems have received considerable attention nowadays. In this work we will consider a quantum dot system as a solid state system. We will study the quantum correlation and quantum memory assisted entropic uncertainty in this typ of system. We will show that the temperature in of quantum dot system can affect the quantum correlation and entropic uncertainty bound. It will be observed that the entropic uncertainty bound decreases with decreasing temperature and quantum correlations decreases with increasing the temperature.
