This working paper instantiates the Structuristics framework (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19636897, v2.0.0) in the quantum measurement domain, reinterpreting the Schrödinger cat paradox as a three-regime structural transition governed by Decompositional Integrity I_D(t) rather than a binary collapse event. The central argument is that wave-particle duality is the shadow of a ternary structure projected onto a binary observational frame: two regimes are structurally insufficient to describe a genuine transition, and the absent intermediate regime produces the apparent paradox. The paper formalises a modified Schrödinger equation with an entropic trigger gamma(t) driven by the time-averaged integrity I_D_bar(t), which carries memory of the initial state and activates only under accumulated structural drift, not under reversible oscillations. Norm conservation is proved explicitly for the deterministic part; a stochastic extension recovers Born-rule statistics via the Ito convention; a scale estimate tau_0(N, alpha) derives the empirical invisibility of the Corrigible regime for macroscopic systems. The mechanism is traced to its origin in CAMAF 2.0.3 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19076532) via the Newton-Einstein-Eddington logistic model, of which this paper is the fourth domain instantiation. The paper is fully compliant with CAMAF CS2 (Standards 1-10 declared, Standard 6 satisfied at claim level via inline epistemic labels). Five falsifiable predictions are stated (Q1-Q5). The primary discriminating test of Q5 is the Akaike Information Criterion comparison between logistic and exponential decay models on individual quantum trajectory records of I_D_bar(t): the ternary framework predicts logistic decline with an identifiable inflection point tC > 0, whereas standard exponential decoherence has its inflection at t = 0. Simulation against the validated Bayesian model of Chantasri et al. (2016, Physical Review X 6, 041052) shows mathematical consistency with the logistic structure; analytic confirmation is provided by the exact parity-meter solution of that paper, which is the logistic function I_D(t) = 2/(1 + exp(t/tau_m)), derived independently of this framework. The Englert complementarity relation V^2 + D^2 <= 1 is identified as the existing experimental signature of the ternary structure, with I_D_bar(t) proposed as its natural parametrisation. The paper introduces the Evolutionary Fractal concept and the cross-domain prediction P-FE1. The Evolutionary Fractal mechanism was not derived from the Structuristics framework: it was discovered empirically during the galactic rotation curves work (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19872381) through the author's active search beyond the RAR baseline, subsequently formalised in Structuristics v2.0.0, and applied here as the first deliberate framework-guided test in an independent domain. Two confirmed instances are documented: the galactic domain (Delta R^2 = 0.033 over RAR baseline, circularity = 0%, permutation p = 0.000) and the quantum domain (Q5 simulation result). A third instance is identified within the Structuristics corpus itself via the declared N-E-E transition between Core Operators and Axiom System D0-D6 in Structuristics v2.0.0. A condensed three-class residue taxonomy (R1 structural, R2 indeterminate, R3 genuinely stochastic) is introduced; full treatment is reserved for a dedicated paper. The paper is updated to full Structuristics v2.0.0 compliance: I_D reframed as operator behaviour metric per D0-D6 interpretation; D3 (non-injectivity) declared in the quantum domain as a theorem via Born rule and pigeonhole argument; rho(t) = 1 - I_D(t) introduced as a first-class residual object; Admissible Instantiation compliance declared (Conditions 1-5, Condition L, K(y), CEF, H-Amp). The relationship between the Evolutionary Fractal and H-Amp is explicitly distinguished. The Bohr-Einstein debate is reanalysed as a projection artefact: Copenhagen, Everett, GRW/CSL, and Lindblad decoherence each describe a valid projection of the ternary structure onto a binary screen. Modern quantum measurement theory relies on successful but ontologically incomplete instrumental formalisms, such as decoherence theory, Lindblad dynamics, POVMs, and consistent histories. While these frameworks describe the operational behavior of measurement, they lack a structural account of outcome uniqueness. This paper demonstrates that Boundary-Induced Collapse (BIC), derived from the Theory of Axiomatic Necessity (TNA), provides the foundational ontology from which these formalisms emerge as partial projections. Within this framework, collapse is redefined as a deterministic structural minimization governed by the realizability functional F(psi,B), where B represents the boundary operator encoding experimental and environmental constraints. We establish explicit mathematical correspondences showing that standard quantum formalisms are operational shadows of an underlying boundary-controlled necessity. Quantum randomness is thus characterized as an epistemic consequence of unresolved boundary degrees of freedom, rather than a fundamental stochasticity. Finally, we prove that boundary projections form a complete POVM resolution of identity, naturally recovering the Born rule through boundary ensemble averaging. This section addresses the most common interpretative frictions by deriving them as structural consequences of the boundary-induced model, providing a clearer context for the technical derivation in the main body. Operational Quantum Mechanics presents a structural reinterpretation of quantum theory grounded in two axioms derived from Cognitional Mechanics: non-commutativity of operations (A∘B ≠ B∘A) and finite operational resolution (Level of Detail). The wave function Ψ is redefined as Operational Potential Density (ρ_op) encoding resource distribution for Type I internal generation—the symmetrical counterpart to Universal Relativity's Type II external constraint expressed through operational delay δt(x). Quantum probability arises epistemically from finite resolution limits rather than ontologically from fundamental randomness. Wave function "collapse" becomes an operationally grounded Commit operation triggered by interface formation between systems, eliminating observer dependence and resolving the measurement problem through deterministic buffer resolution. Schrödinger's cat paradox dissolves structurally via four discrete operational steps: queueing of decay trigger as pending operation, thresholding at specific operational cycle, committing to single state via projection ρ ↦ P_iρP_i/Tr(P_iρP_i), and reporting as read command to pre-determined memory address. The cat exists in a pending execution state—not ontological superposition—until interface-triggered Commit resolves unresolved operational cycles below the resolution limit. Born rule statistics |Ψ|² = ρ_op are adopted as the canonical projection measure compatible with resource conservation and tensor-product linearity. Bell inequality violations follow from the logical impossibility of factorization under non-commutativity and finite resolution. This framework maintains strict mathematical equivalence with standard quantum mechanics while repositioning probability as an epistemic consequence of structural resolution limits inherent to non-commutative operational structures.
Classical theories typically model a complete record as a unary function of a physical state, treating observation conditions as external parameters. However, quantum mechanics exhibits a fundamental tension: the same independently certified physical input can yield different complete records when observation conditions vary, giving rise to the century-old measurement problem and the EPR paradox. In this work, we derive the necessary state architecture to resolve this without conflating the physical input with the conditions through which its record is formed. By applying behavioral equivalence and redundancy elimination within the category of sets, we prove that the formation-side difference cannot be mathematically removed. This forces the “observation state” to emerge as an irreducible, objective, state-bearing axis, establishing a strict physical–observation dual-axis (PODA) architecture. We emphasize that this dual-axis structure represents two non-interchangeable projection responsibilities, rather than orthogonal coordinates or dynamically decoupled systems. Under stated coherence and composition conditions, this dual-axis geometry naturally yields the complex field, binary projective geometry, and the Born trace pairing. Crucially, it further derives the Schrödinger equation as a covariant temporal composition, the CHSH inequality, and the attainable Tsirelson bound. In standard quantum mechanics, the complex field, the Schrödinger equation, and the Born rule are independent axioms. In our framework, they are unified as geometric corollaries of the PODA structure. Within this framework, the notorious quantum paradoxes are naturally dissolved: “wave-function collapse” is revealed as a conditional transition at the observation interface, and “decoherence” is understood as the objective geometric coupling between the physical and observation axes, rather than random environmental noise. Bell violation is thereby identified not as superluminal influence, but as the absence of a positive global answer section across incompatible observation states. Finally, the theory proposes a specific table-top experiment that predicts a sharp, parameter-free numerical constant: a geometric phase of 0.7π ≈ 2.1991 radians. This value directly distinguishes the dualaxis mechanism from standard quantum mechanics, which predicts exactly zero for the same configuration. Observing this constant would confirm the physical reality of the observation axis, whereas a null result falsifies the mechanism.

The Born rule — that the probability of obtaining outcome |phi> in a measurement of a quantum system in state |psi> is P = |<phi|psi>|^2 — is one of the most empirically well-confirmed and conceptually contested statements in physics. Existing derivation attempts (Gleason’s theorem; Deutsch–Wallace decision theory; Zurek envariance; many-worlds branch counting) each establish it under their own assumptions, but none has achieved universal acceptance. We show that in the Three Time Dimensions (3+3) spacetime framework (de Haan 2026, book DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19633127), in which the third time dimension t_3 is compactified as a discrete two-sphere S^2 with 2^152 Planck-area cells, the Born rule emerges through three independent geometric routes that all converge on the same result P = |<phi|psi>|^2. Route 1 (Malus’s Law on S^2): the wavefunction is literally a direction on the t_3 S^2; the Bloch sphere IS this S^2; Malus’s 1809 law P = cos^2(theta) is identical to the Born rule for bosons, with SU(2) double cover giving cos^2(theta/2) for fermions. Route 2 (Gleason + S^2 non-contextuality): Gleason’s 1957 theorem uniquely selects |<phi|psi>|^2 given non-contextuality, which in (3+3) is a consequence of the S^2 Riemannian metric rather than an independent postulate. Route 3 (Lévy measure + t_2 isotropy): the t_2 expansion perturbs all t_3 directions isotropically; the unique continuous binary-outcome probability measure is the Lévy / Haar-invariant spherical measure, which gives P(+n_A) = cos^2(theta/2). The three routes use distinct mathematical tools (projection, Hilbert-space theorem, stochastic analysis) and distinct physical inputs (geometry, Riemannian metric, dynamical isotropy). They must converge if the geometric identification is correct; they would diverge if it were wrong. Malus’s 1809 law is the Born rule avant la lettre. The empirical optical law taught to undergraduates as a fact is, under this reading, a direct geometric consequence of photon polarisations being directions on S^2 — a statement about projection geometry that predates quantum mechanics by a century. The same geometric identification simultaneously resolves four foundational puzzles: (1) Schrödinger’s cat is never in superposition (the cat’s ~10^29 t_3 modes are entrained by environmental t_2 perturbation within femtoseconds of the first atomic interaction); (2) the three-polariser paradox dissolves (non-commuting measurements are non-commuting rotations on S^2); (3) the Bell/Tsirelson bound 2sqrt(2) is a geometric consequence of S^2 having dimension exactly 2 — empirical confirmation by loophole-free Bell tests (Hensen, Giustina, Shalm 2015) confirms the S^2 identification; (4) the cosmological decoherence floor tau_cosm = 1/H_0 ~ 14.5 Gyr is a structural upper bound on quantum coherence set by the t_2 cosmic expansion — distinguishing the framework from many-worlds interpretations. Three supporting elegance claims establish the framework’s quantum-foundational coherence: (A) the complex-valuedness of psi in C follows from t_2 being a rotation (the imaginary unit i is the generator of the t_2 precession rotation); (B) the Schrödinger equation i hbar dpsi/dt = H psi is the infinitesimal form of t_2 precession rotating the phase of the t_3 configuration; (C) the canonical commutation [x, p] = i hbar follows from the foam lattice structure. The paper is complementary to the companion Quantum Computing preprint [DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19651560] which uses the Bloch-sphere-as-S^2 identification for applied hardware-level proposals. The Born Rule paper provides the foundational underpinning for why that identification is correct at the level of quantum-mechanical first principles. The paper is honest about what remains open. Four specific items are explicitly acknowledged (§11): (1) the framework does not yet have a 6D Lagrangian formulation from which the Born rule would fall out of path-integral quantisation; (2) the uniqueness of the S^2 identification is only partially addressed — higher-dimensional spheres are ruled out by the Tsirelson bound, but tori and Calabi–Yau alternatives are not examined; (3) the path-integral reformulation of quantum mechanics within (3+3) has not been constructed; (4) detailed comparison with QBism, relational quantum mechanics, and consistent histories is outside the paper’s scope. Falsifiability. Six routes: Tsirelson-bound overshoot/undershoot beyond 2sqrt(2) + measurement precision; indefinite quantum coherence beyond cosmological timescales; real-valued QM experimental confirmation (already ruled out by Renou et al. 2021, reconfirmed by independent tests); detection of genuine contextuality; detection of discrete S^2 cell structure at near-Planck scales. The Born rule, in (3+3), is not a mysterious postulate; it is Malus’s Law on a compact sphere that nobody knew was there.
This preprint presents a complete and fully operator-theoretic resolution of the quantum measurement problem. Including collapse, the Born rule, the uniqueness of outcomes, and the irrelevance of observersm derived entirely from a universal structural principle called the lawhood identity. Rather than adding new physics, modifying the Schrödinger equation, introducing hidden variables, invoking many-worlds branching, or appealing to consciousness, this work shows that quantum measurement is a direct, unavoidable consequence of a general fixed-point law that applies to all stable physical systems. When instantiated for quantum mechanics, this law forces every genuine superposition to fail the criteria for being a physically lawful state. Collapse is not an extra postulate: it is structurally mandatory. Key results include: • The No-Superposition Theorem: All superpositions are proven to be structurally unlawful; they cannot survive the measurement map.• Mandatory Collapse: Collapse emerges automatically from the composition of three physical operators (boundary, decoherence, and closure), without modifying quantum dynamics.• Derivation of the Born Rule: The familiar probabilities arise uniquely from the internal consistency of the measurement operators. No additional assumptions, decision theory, or symmetry arguments are required.• Observer Independence: Awareness and measurement are formally separated. Collapse is a physical, observer-independent process; knowledge acquisition is epistemic, not causal.• Uniqueness of Outcomes: The framework proves that there is only one stable classical outcome for any initial quantum state, directly resolving the many-worlds branching issue.• Experimental Signatures: The formulation predicts measurable relationships involving entropy, decoherence rates, and effective dimensionality. This paper shows that the puzzles of quantum collapse, superposition, outcome selection, probability, and the apparent role of observers, are not mysteries requiring new interpretations. They are the natural consequences of a deeper structural principle that governs all lawful physical systems. Quantum mechanics, under this lens, becomes a specific case of a universal operator identity that determines which states can persist as stable reality. Readers will find a complete, logically self-contained argument, with theorems and proofs written in a way that does not rely on philosophical interpretation or speculative assumptions. The result is a clear and testable framework that resolves a problem that has persisted since the birth of quantum theory. This work is part of a broader research program developing the universal Tier-0 lawhood framework and the “Everything Equation,” which unifies stability, collapse, and fixed-point structure across physics, computation, thermodynamics, and information. Relation to Tier-1 dynamical formulation: This work develops a law-level (structural) resolution of quantum measurement. A complementary Tier-1 dynamical realization of these structural principles, formulated entirely within a constrained operator framework and independent of law-level recursion language, is developed in: J. Rodgers, Saturation Geometry and the Structural Emergence of Measurement and the Born Rule in a Capacity-Constrained Dirac–Λ System, Zenodo (2026).https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18704783 The Tier-1 formulation may be read independently and provides a concrete operator-theoretic instantiation of the structural mechanisms discussed here.
