Continuous Manifestation from Cyclic Phase Completion in Extended Classical Mechanics

Abstract

This supplementary derivation note extends and clarifies the kinetic-energy formalism previously developed in A Comparative Framework for Extended Classical Mechanics' Frequency-Governed Kinetic Energy 10.2139/ssrn.5380919 and Preprints.org 10.20944/preprints202508.1031.v1 and in Emergence of Classical Kinetic Energy from Extended Classical Mechanics 10.13140/RG.2.2.14412.88963. This derivation formalizes a specific ECM interpretation in which observable frequency and kinetic manifestation arise from repeated latent phase-completion cycles. The analysis distinguishes between the latent apparent-mass domain, represented by Mᵃᵖᵖ ≡ −ΔPEᴇᴄᴍ, and the manifested energetic domain represented by ΔMᴍ and KEᴇᴄᴍ. The central result is that although latent phase evolution proceeds through discrete cyclic completion from 0° to 360°, the manifested frequency term hf remains continuous because each completed phase cycle contributes incrementally to observable frequency. The derivation further distinguishes between incremental phase evolution (dφ/dt) and wave-phase velocity (v₍phase₎), thereby establishing formal consistency with de Broglie wave mechanics, where manifested matter remains subluminal while associated phase propagation may be luminal or superluminal. This establishes a mathematically coherent bridge between cyclic phase mechanics, continuous energetic manifestation, and standard wave formalism within ECM.

Physical Phase–Frequency Dynamics and the Emergence of Temporal Displacement: A Foundational Distinction between Geometric Phase (ϕ) and Energetic Accumulated Phase (x°) in Extended Classical Mechanics

Soumendra Nath Thakur

This paper examines the physical interpretation of the phase–time relation x°/(360°f) = Δt within the framework of Extended Classical Mechanics (ECM). It argues that the common assertion that "any phase can be associated to a time and vice versa" conflates mathematical correspondence with physical causation. While a phase displacement may be expressed as an equivalent temporal displacement, the relation itself does not establish that phase and time are physically interchangeable quantities. The paper develops the ECM interpretation that temporal displacement emerges from accumulated physical phase evolution through the sequence Δf → x° → Tₓ° (= Δt), where x° represents an accumulated energetic phase associated with frequency variation and Tₓ° represents the corresponding derived temporal measure. In this framework, time is treated as a measure of physical change rather than as an independent physical entity capable of generating or altering phase. A central contribution of the paper is the distinction between the conventional modulo-geometric phase variable ϕ and the ECM concept of accumulated energetic phase x°. Whereas ϕ serves as a cyclic geometric descriptor confined to modulo 2π representation, x° is interpreted as a physically accumulated phase quantity associated with energetic frequency evolution and not restricted to 360° periodic reduction. The analysis therefore proposes a foundational distinction between geometric phase and energetic accumulated phase, providing an ECM-based perspective on the emergence of temporal displacement from phase–frequency dynamics.

A Previously Unknown Formula for Relativistic Kinetic Energy

Koshun Suto

It is well known that the kinetic energy formula of classical mechanics has a limited range of applicability. That formula breaks down when the mass of a moving body increases and the effects of relativity can no longer be ignored. More than a hundred years ago, Sommerfeld and Einstein defined relativistic kinetic energy as the difference between a body’s relativistic energy and its rest mass energy. This paper, however, derives a formula for relativistic kinetic energy that is not a definitional formula. The formula derived in this paper incorporates the phase velocity of a wave. It further finds that the phase velocity of the wave is an important physical quantity linking a body’s kinetic energy and momentum. In current standard physics, the de Broglie wave is not regarded as having physical reality. Nevertheless, this paper concludes that the phase velocity of a matter wave is an essential physical quantity.

A Temporal Reconstruction of Quantum Mechanics

Peter Paul Lehleiter

This project hosts the preprint *From Phase Waves to Event Latency: A Temporal Reconstruction of Quantum Mechanics*. The paper reconstructs de Broglie’s phase wave from the Lorentz transformation of an internal periodic process and distinguishes the resulting general phase structure from the specifically quantum correspondence between frequency and energy. It shows how a general phase-closure condition acquires the form of the Bohr–Sommerfeld quantization rule only through the de Broglie relation. In the second part, Bohmian trajectories are interpreted not as classical particle paths but as a latent structure of possible detection events. As a first step, the paper thereby develops a temporal and event-based interpretation of quantum mechanics without modifying its empirical predictions.

The Timeless Formulation of Quantum Mechanics: Energy-Frequency Duality and the Manifestation Formalism

Tamas Kovacs

We present a self-consistent, time-independent framework for quantum mechanics that removes temporal evolution from the foundations of physics, replacing it with an absolute energy-frequency paradigm. By defining the speed of light (c) not as a kinematic velocity but as a universal manifestation ratio between frequency and spatial extension, we derive the Timeless Master Wave Equation (TMWE). In this paradigm, physical reality is a static, higher-dimensional interference pattern where mass acts as a spatial coupling constant measuring a system's resistance to local manifestation. We introduce the manifestation operator M to formalize the transition from non-local wave states to localized spatial observables. This framework resolves long-standing conceptual conflicts between the absolute background time of quantum mechanics and the dynamic spacetime of general relativity, showing that temporal progression is an emergent phenomenon of observer-state resonance.

A Comprehensive Analysis of the Work-Energy Theorem Across Classical, Quantum, and Relativistic Regimes

Md. Shaikhul Hadis Nazat

Abstract The Work-Energy Theorem is a fundamental principle in mechanics, establishing a quantitative relationship between the net work done on a particle and its change in kinetic energy. In this study, we present a rigorous derivation of the theorem across classical, quantum, and relativistic frameworks. The analysis includes expressing kinetic energy in terms of de Broglie wavelength, introducing identities linking force, displacement, and wavelength, and extending the theorem to relativistic particles. We provide detailed mathematical derivations, highlight the transition between classical and quantum regimes, and discuss the limits of applicability, including decoherence effects and classical limits. This work demonstrates the universality of the Work-Energy Theorem and bridges diverse physical perspectives under a unified framework.

The Hidden First-Order Structure of the Lorentz Invariant: A Phase Slotting Interpretation of de Broglie Phase Harmony

Ping Zhang

The Lorentz-invariant relation between frequency and wave number providesthe standard relativistic foundation of de Broglie's phase harmony. While this quadratic invariant preserves the proper phase norm for allinertial observers, it does not explicitly reveal how temporal and spatialphase evolution are locally organized after a Lorentz transformation. In particular, the mechanism by which the observed de Broglie frequencymaintains phase harmony remains implicit. In this work, we revisit this question from a distinguished referenceconfiguration in which the phase field possesses purely temporal evolution.Treating the phase as a Lorentz scalar and following the phase evolution ofindividual medium elements, we derive an exact first-order relation, \[\omega=\frac{\omega_0}{\gamma}+vk,\] which we call the Phase Slotting Principle. This relation separatesthe observed coordinate frequency into a temporal projection associated withproper phase evolution and a spatial contribution generated by sweepingacross the Lorentz-induced phase gradient. The familiar quadratic invariantis recovered exactly, showing that the conventional Lorentz relationpreserves the total phase budget, whereas the first-order formulationretains the explicit allocation of phase evolution between the temporal andspatial sectors. Using the standard quantum identifications between frequency, wave number, energy, and momentum, the same first-order structure naturally yields anenergy allocation relation. In the non-relativistic limit, Newtoniankinetic energy emerges as the observable remainder of a continuous balancebetween temporal reduction and spatial accumulation, while the completerelativistic energy expansion is recovered order by order. Rather thanmodifying special relativity, the present work reveals an explicitfirst-order description already implicit in the Lorentz transformation, providing a complementary geometric interpretation of de Broglie phaseharmony and of the energetic organization of relativistic phase evolution.
