Boundary Compression and the Origin of Classical Reality: A Resolution of the Quantum Measurement Problem

Abstract

Convergence Codex — Stage A Capstone Paper Tier: meta | Cascade Level: 5 The deepest structures of physical reality—from quantum measurement to spacetime geometry—exhibit a profound commonality that has eluded unified description. Across disparate domains, fundamental properties emerge only through measurement contexts, suggesting that reality's architecture operates through principles more fundamental than the specific laws governing each domain. The structural content of physical reality is determined by information-theoretic compression that occurs precisely at dimensional boundaries where global constraints meet local measurement contexts. This compression mechanism manifests wherever higher-dimensional possibilities must be encoded into lower-dimensional observations: quantum states collapsing to measurement outcomes, gauge symmetries breaking to observable forces, and gravitational horizons encoding bulk information on boundaries. If correct, this principle predicts that any sufficiently complex physical system will exhibit maximum information compression at its dimensional boundaries, with the compression ratio determined by the mismatch between global and local degrees of freedom. New phases of matter should emerge at critical compression thresholds. Black hole interiors should contain precisely the information content that saturates their boundary encoding capacity. Most radically, the principle suggests that physical laws themselves emerge from optimal compression schemes at cosmic boundaries—making the universe's fundamental constants consequences of its global encoding constraints rather than arbitrary parameters. The Constraint-Boundary Correspondence: A General Principle for Holographic Encoding and Emergence

Mark E. Mala

Convergence Codex — Stage A Capstone Paper Tier: framework | Cascade Level: 3 **Abstract** The measurement problem in quantum mechanics and the information paradox in black hole physics share a common origin: both arise from attempting to describe physical properties as if they exist independently of the boundaries where they are observed. We establish that the fundamental properties of physical systems emerge through information-theoretic compression at boundaries where global symmetries meet local measurement contexts, with the universe encoding its essential structure on lower-dimensional interfaces between constraint and observation. This principle resolves the apparent conflict between quantum contextuality and classical objectivity by recognizing that properties are not predetermined attributes but rather emerge through the compression of global constraints onto local measurement boundaries. The framework predicts that any sufficiently isolated quantum system will exhibit novel interference patterns when measured across previously unexplored boundary configurations, that black hole information is preserved through boundary encodings that become accessible only during evaporation, and that the dimensionality of physical laws must decrease at extreme scales where boundary compression becomes maximal. If correct, physical reality is not a collection of objects with intrinsic properties but a network of boundaries where universal constraints compress into observable phenomena. Information-Theoretic Boundaries and Symmetry Breaking: A Universal Principle of Quantum-Classical Transition

Mark E. Mala

Convergence Codex — Stage A Capstone Paper Tier: framework | Cascade Level: 4 The fundamental incompleteness theorems of mathematics and the contextuality theorems of quantum mechanics reveal a profound crisis: our most successful theories describe reality through structures that cannot be predetermined or completed. This persistent pattern across domains suggests we have been asking the wrong question. Rather than seeking what reality "is made of," we should ask how its structure emerges. The structural content of physical reality IS determined by information-theoretic compression at dimensional boundaries where global symmetries break to encode local contextual properties. Just as mathematical incompleteness arises at the boundary between formal systems and their meta-theoretic descriptions, and quantum contextuality emerges at the measurement boundary between system and observer, all fundamental structures in physics manifest through compression of global invariances into local, context-dependent information at dimensional transitions. This principle predicts: (1) Every fundamental constant encodes a specific compression ratio between adjacent dimensional descriptions, (2) New particles must emerge at energies corresponding to dimensional boundary transitions where current compression schemes fail, (3) Quantum gravity will require a formalism where spacetime itself emerges as compressed boundary information between higher-dimensional structures. If correct, the search for a "theory of everything" fundamentally misconceives the problem—reality's structure is not fixed but emerges through universal compression principles operating at every scale. Fixed Points of Reality: How Dimensional Reduction Creates Structure at Measurement Boundaries

Mark E. Mala

Convergence Codex — Stage A Capstone Paper Tier: framework | Cascade Level: 3 The measurement problem in quantum mechanics reveals a deeper crisis: we lack a fundamental principle explaining why physical properties emerge only through observation. This absence extends across physics—from quantum contextuality violating predetermined values, to gauge symmetries requiring boundary conditions, to the holographic principle encoding bulk physics on boundaries. Each domain independently discovered that observable structure requires constraint, yet no unifying principle explains this universal pattern. The structural content of physical reality emerges at boundaries where dimensional reduction occurs through the intersection of measurement contexts and symmetry-breaking constraints. Physical properties are not predetermined attributes waiting to be revealed, but arise precisely where different constraint systems meet—whether quantum measurement contexts, gauge fixing conditions, or holographic screens. This boundary emergence is not merely epistemic but ontological: the structure of reality itself forms at these constraint intersections. If correct, this principle predicts that any complete theory of quantum gravity must exhibit explicit boundary-constraint duality, with bulk physics fully determined by boundary constraints. It requires that new phases of matter emerge specifically at constraint-intersection boundaries, and that information paradoxes resolve through proper identification of constraint surfaces. Most fundamentally, it transforms physics from seeking pre-existing properties to understanding how constraint boundaries generate the observable structure of reality itself. Paper 42 — Generative Law: Limits of Entanglement Scalability

Mortaza Zabihi

Entanglement is commonly treated as a uniquely quantum resource whose limitations are attributed to environmental disturbance, system size, or decoherence. Such explanations, however, fail to identify a principled boundary between quantum and classical behavior. This paper proposes a different account: entanglement does not break down because systems become larger, but because the laws required to sustain entanglement become too complex to remain isolated and enforceable. Within the Generative Law framework, entanglement is reinterpreted as the enforcement of a single admissible law across multiple entities. Scaling entanglement therefore corresponds to scaling a global law under increasing constraint density. We show that this scaling encounters a fundamental limit: beyond a certain complexity threshold, admissibility constraints proliferate faster than they can be coherently maintained, leading to inevitable law leakage and the emergence of classical behavior. This analysis reframes the quantum–classical boundary as a law-complexity threshold rather than an ontological divide. Classicality appears not as a distinct regime of reality, but as the natural outcome of failed global law enforcement under complexity growth. No appeal to wavefunction realism, collapse postulates, or observer-dependent ontology is required. This article is part of a broader theoretical program investigating the emergence of spacetime, geometry, and physical structure from the ψ–Θ–χ continuum. The Algorithmic Reality Model: Unifying Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity via the Zeno Threshold and Thermodynamic Graph Routing

Serdar Hanzala Yaman

Abstract For over a century, theoretical physics has treated General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics as fundamentally incompatible: one posits a continuous, deterministic spacetime manifold; the other, a discrete, probabilistic Hilbert space. The Algorithmic Reality Model (ARM) resolves this schism by identifying a single computational mechanism—the Zeno Threshold (Zα)—as the universal bound governing both quantum collapse and spacetime geometry. ARM treats physical reality as the macroscopic projection of a finite-bandwidth computational substrate operating on a timeless, pre-geometric state (the Singleton). By enforcing Landauer's principle of irreversible erasure, ARM derives the entirety of the gravitational sector from seven pre-geometric, quantum informational axioms. Key Derivations & Unifications Emergent Spacetime: Spatial geometry emerges from the Quantum Fisher Information Metric (QFIM) of the observer's state space, while time emerges from the Tomita-Takesaki modular flow. The Lorentzian signature (-,+,+,+) is algebraically forced by the compact/non-compact structure of their isometry generators. The Holographic Scalar (The 3→1 Unification): Applying the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem to the holographic boundary yields the exact Bekenstein-Hawking factor of 1/4 as a universal 2D anti-aliasing limit. This simultaneously fixes the area-law coefficient and structurally derives Newton's constant as G = c3ξmin2 / ℏ. Systematic Boundary Deviations: The framework quantitatively resolves macroscopic anomalies as computational resolution limits. Dark energy emerges as the minimum Landauer maintenance cost of the cosmological event horizon, and the MOND acceleration scale (a0) emerges as a thermodynamic noise floor, algebraically locked by the structural identity a02 = (8πG/3)ρΛ. Thermodynamic State Truncation: Wavefunction collapse, the black hole information paradox, and EPR non-locality are rigorously unified as manifestations of the computational substrate's finite Landauer memory budget. Computational Computability Because ARM is built on discrete informational axioms rather than continuous manifolds, the entire framework is natively computable. The structural derivations in this paper—including emergent geodesic lensing, the Bekenstein-Hawking threshold, and the MOND noise floor—have been explicitly verified via sparse Hermitian lattice simulations. The complete open-source computational validation suite is available at: github.com/srdrymn/algorithmic-reality-model-validations This manuscript represents the master synthesis and culmination of the Algorithmic Theory of Reality (ATR) foundational framework.

Paper 39 — Generative Law: Law Dominance, Interrupt, and Quantum Measurement

Mortaza Zabihi

The measurement problem in physics is commonly framed as a problem of observation, collapse, or external intervention. Such formulations implicitly attribute a privileged role to observers, despite lacking a clear operational mechanism by which observation could alter physical law. This paper argues that this framing is fundamentally misguided. Building on a generative account of law formation and an execution-based definition of time, we introduce law dominance as a structural property of law execution. Laws are not atomic constraints but structured bundles whose internal complexity determines their executional priority. When a sufficiently complex law enters execution, it necessarily suppresses competing laws due to finite execution capacity. Measurement is identified as a special case of such dominant law execution. Within this framework, measurement does not create outcomes, modify laws, or invoke external agency. It triggers the execution of an already stabilized, highly complex law whose dominance forces collapse as an executional necessity. Collapse is therefore not a postulate but a consequence of constrained execution. By separating law formation, law execution, and law dominance, this work eliminates observer dependence from measurement without altering the formal structure of quantum theory. Measurement is reinterpreted as a purely internal process governed by complexity and execution constraints, providing a unified and operationally grounded resolution to the measurement problem. This article is part of a broader theoretical program investigating the emergence of spacetime, geometry, and physical structure from the ψ–Θ–χ continuum. Earlier works in this program explore different layers and stages of the framework, ranging from foundational pre-structural regimes to geometric realization: Paper 0 — Generative Architecture: Toward a Unified Generative Physics Framework Paper 1 — Generative Architecture: The IGF as the Entry Point to Unified Physics (Awareness Theory) Paper 2 — Generative Architecture: Vacuum as the Foundational Layer of Unified Physics (Vacuum Theory) Paper 3 — Generative Architecture: A PRF-Based Mathematical Foundation for Unified Physics (Projection Theory) Paper 4 — Generative Architecture: Toward a Unified Field Equation (Threshold Eye Theory) Paper 5 — Generative Architecture: Big Bang & Mysteries Before and After T₀ (Genesis Theory) Paper 6 — Generative Architecture: Dual Propagation Mechanism in the Triad Unified Fields (Broadcast Theory) Paper 7 — Generative Architecture: Unified Model of Mass and Curvature (Einston Theory) Paper 8 — Generative Architecture: Origin of Everything (Symmetry Theory) Paper 9 — Generative Architecture: Micro-Dynamics and the Collapse Mechanism in the Triad Unified Fields (Collapse Theory) Paper 10 — Generative Architecture: Macro-Level Dynamics in the Triad Unified Fields Paper 11 — Generative Architecture: Non-Projectable Sector and Emergence of the Third Fundamental Object in the Photon–Einston–Teslon Triad (Teslon Theory) Paper 12 — Generative Architecture: The Origin of Generativity Paper 13 — Generative Architecture: The Grammar of GA (Unigene Theory) Paper 14 — Generative Architecture: What is Identity (Identity Theory) Paper 15 — Generative Architecture: Foundation of Geometry (Probability Manifold Theory) Paper 16 — Generative Architecture: Matter, Image-Matter, Mirror (Reflection Theory) Paper 17 — Generative Architecture: Density Regimes and Core Saturation Paper 18 — Generative Architecture: Physical Dimensions and Emergence of Novel Dynamics in Early Genesis Paper 19 — Generative Architecture: Antimatter as Orientation-Inversion of Matter Paper 20 — Generative Architecture: Black Hole Paper 21 — Generative Architecture: Dark Matter and Dark Energy Paper 22 — Generative Kernel: 6-Layer Architecture Paper 23 — Generative Kernel: Meta-Generative Integration (MGI) Layer Paper 24 — Generative Kernel: Formative Operator for Structural Preparation (DaVinchine Operator) Paper 25 — Generative Kernel: Kernel as Execution Boundary Paper 26 — Generative Kernel: Kernel State Machine (KSM) as An Execution Model for Kernel Dynamics Paper 27 — Generative Quantum: Introduction Paper 28 — Generative Quantum: Measurement as A Quasi-Continuous Restriction Process Paper 29 — Generative Quantum: Measurement Derivational Chain Paper 30 — Generative Planck: Planck as An Activation Boundary Paper 31 — Generative Planck: Degrees of Freedom as Kernel-Level Transition Structures Paper 32 — Generative Planck: Curvature Inversion No-Go Theorem Paper 33 — Generative Planck: Physical Constants as Execution Boundaries Paper 34 — Generative Law: Axiom of Law for Emergence of Stable Laws Paper 35 — Generative Law: Execution Guard Layers and Architecture of Physical Law Paper 36 — Generative Law: Law as an Admissibility Boundary Paper 37 — Generative Law: Nature of Time Paper 38 — Generative Law: Vertical Law Formation Paper 39 — Generative Law: Law Dominance, Interrupt and Quantum Measurement Paper 40 — Generative Law: Quantum Problems Paper 41 — Generative Law: Quantum Entanglement as Minimal Law Engineering Paper 42 — Generative Law: Limits of Entanglement Scalability Paper 43 — Generative Law: Quantum Decoherence as Law Leakage Paper 44 — Generative Law: Quantum Contextuality as Law Routing Paper 45 — Generative Law: Quantum Control as Law Engineering
