Observer as Structure: A Relational Account of Consciousness and Measurement Vol 1 Paper 1

Abstract

This paper proposes a unified structural interpretation of consciousness and observer-dependent measurement grounded in The Relative Framework. It argues that both phenomena arise from constrained relational systems operating under finite resolution capacity (ρ), cumulative irreversibility (K), and representational conflict/divergence (Δ). By redefining the observer as a structurally bounded system rather than a privileged entity, we demonstrate that conscious experience and measurement outcomes are emergent stabilizations of interaction, not revelations of intrinsic properties. The paper does not attempt to replace existing physical or philosophical models, but to provide a structural lens through which both domains can be coherently interpreted.

Generative–Relational Ontology of Quantum Measurement and Consciousness From Structure to Process: A Generative–Relational Resolution of Quantum Measurement, Consciousness, and Qualia

Kazunori Ohumi

This work proposes a unified ontological framework that resolves three of the most persistent unresolved problems in modern science and philosophy: the quantum measurement problem, the hard problem of consciousness, and the problem of qualia. It argues that these problems arise from a shared epistemic error—the reduction of dynamic generative–relational processes into static observable structures. Building on Universal Phase Crystallization Theory (UPCT), the paper introduces a generative–relational ontology in which existence is defined as the product of generative potential (Φ) and relational resonance (R), formalized as E=ΦR. Within this framework, structure (S) is reinterpreted as a temporally stabilized crystallization of underlying dynamics, rather than the fundamental substrate of reality. Quantum states are reformulated as pre-structural relational fields, observation as a critical phase transition in relational resonance, and consciousness as the sustained activity of generative–relational dynamics. Qualia are defined as locally felt phases of this process, eliminating the explanatory gap between physical processes and subjective experience. This framework provides a unified account across physics, cognitive science, and philosophy, suggesting a fundamental shift from structure-based to process-based ontology. The implications extend to artificial intelligence, epistemology, and the foundations of scientific modeling. Highlights Proposes E=ΦR as a foundational equation of existence. Defines quantum states as pre-structural relational fields (Rpre−S). Reinterprets observation as critical relational crystallization (R≥Rc). Defines consciousness as sustained generative resonance (C(t)=Φ(t)R(t)). Identifies qualia as locally felt phases of generative–relational dynamics. Main Arguments Modern scientific frameworks have successfully described observable structures but have systematically excluded the dynamic processes through which such structures emerge. This structural reduction leads to persistent explanatory gaps in domains where process is essential, such as consciousness and quantum measurement. The quantum measurement problem arises because relational dynamics are replaced by structural outcomes. By reinterpreting quantum states as relational pre-structures, the apparent discontinuity of wavefunction collapse is resolved as a phase transition driven by relational coherence. The hard problem of consciousness is shown to be a consequence of attempting to derive subjective experience from structural descriptions alone. Consciousness is instead defined as a sustained generative–relational process, eliminating the need for a bridge between physical states and experience. Qualia are redefined as locally felt phases of generative–relational dynamics rather than intrinsic properties of objects or neural encodings. This reframes perception as a process-dependent phenomenon rather than a representational mapping. The unified framework demonstrates that quantum physics, consciousness, and perception are not separate domains but different regimes of a single generative–relational ontology. This resolves long-standing conceptual divides and provides a consistent foundation across disciplines. Contributions This work introduces a novel ontological framework that unifies physical and experiential phenomena under a single generative–relational principle, moving beyond traditional substance- or structure-based metaphysics. It provides a formal reinterpretation of the quantum measurement problem, replacing wavefunction collapse with a critical transition model grounded in relational dynamics. It offers a non-reductive yet formal account of consciousness, defining it as a sustained dynamical regime rather than an emergent property of structural complexity. It reframes qualia as processual phenomena, thereby dissolving the explanatory gap between objective physical descriptions and subjective experience. It establishes a clear ontological distinction between artificial intelligence and conscious systems, with implications for future research in AI, cognitive science, and philosophy of mind. Manifesto for an Informational Observer-Centered Framework Toward a Unified Theory of Information, Observation, and Reality

Giuseppe Junior Greco

Modern physics has achieved extraordinary predictive success, yet it continues to face unresolved conceptual tensions concerning the role of the observer, the nature of information, and the origin of physical structure. From quantum measurement to cosmology, the assumption of an observer-neutral reality increasingly appears insufficient to fully account for empirical phenomena and theoretical inconsistencies. This manifesto proposes an Informational Observer-Centered Framework, in which information is treated as a fundamental ontological substrate and observation as an active, structured process rather than a passive act of measurement. Within this perspective, physical systems, observers, and informational exchanges form a unified dynamics, where state reduction, decoherence, and emergent classicality arise from informational interactions and constraints. Rather than introducing a new closed theory, this manifesto establishes a conceptual foundation unifying several complementary models—including Informational State Dynamics, observer-dependent informational compression, and informational interpretations of quantum and cosmological phenomena—into a coherent research program. The framework is explicitly non-dogmatic, open to falsification, and intended as a guiding structure for further theoretical development and empirical testing. The aim of this document is not to replace existing physical theories, but to clarify their conceptual boundaries and propose an integrative lens through which unresolved problems in quantum foundations, cosmology, and cognitive systems may be systematically explored.

A Relational Structural Interpretative Framework (RSIF) for Observation, Structure, and Signal Transmission

Vis, Barbara (Won-hee Choi)

This work explores whether several apparently independent physical phenomena may be viewed through a shared interpretative perspective centered on relational structure, interaction, and stabilization. Within the Relational Structural Interpretative Framework (RSIF), observation is interpreted as interaction, measurable states are interpreted as relationally stabilized conditions, and observable phenomena emerge through interaction-sensitive structural organization. This work does not propose a replacement for existing physical theories, but instead presents an exploratory interpretative framework intended to encourage further conceptual and experimental discussion.

A Relational Interpretation Proposal for Quantum Entanglement

Ahmed Mahmoud Ahmed Hashish

Quantum entanglement remains one of the most conceptually unresolved phenomena in modern physics. Although quantum mechanics predicts experimental outcomes with exceptional accuracy, the ontological interpretation of nonlocal correlations remains open to debate. This paper presents a conceptual relational interpretation proposal in which entangled systems originate from a unified invariant informational structure. Under this framework, measurement is not treated as passive observation of pre-existing classical values, but as a contextual projection process interacting with an underlying shared state. The proposal suggests that entangled particles may remain contextual projections of a deeper unified relational structure rather than fully independent separated systems exchanging information after separation. To clarify the concept, the paper introduces a software architecture analogy in which multiple observable variants may share the same immutable core state while generating contextual outputs depending on interaction and input configuration. Under this interpretation, correlated quantum outcomes may emerge from shared invariant structure rather than post-separation communication. The paper also introduces a complementary Color Sphere analogy representing a unified quantum state containing structured relational information. Different measurement configurations generate distinct projections of the same underlying structure while preserving internal relational consistency. This proposal does not claim experimental verification or a complete mathematical replacement for quantum mechanics. Instead, it offers a conceptual and philosophical framework intended to motivate future mathematical, informational, or relational approaches toward understanding entanglement, measurement, and structural consistency in physical reality.

Empirical Subjectivity Intersection: Observer–Quantum Coherence Beyond Existing Theories Unifying Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, and Cosmology

Satoru Watanabe

This study proposes a new observer model based on empirical Subjectivity In- tersection (SI/SIC) and aims to resolve the long-standing inconsistency between general relativity, quantum mechanics, and cosmology by redefining the structure of the observing subject. Modern physics treats the observer in two incompatible ways: relativity regards the observer as a passive geometric point within spacetime, whereas quantum mechanics requires an active structure that determines physical reality. This conceptual contradiction has been a major obstacle to a unified theory. The SIEP (Subjectivity Intersection and Emergence Project) framework recon- structs the generative structure of subjectivity while preserving the empirical suc- cesses of existing physical laws. In SIEP, reality is not an independently existing container but is generated when Absolute Subjectivity—timeless, unconditional co- herence—is projected onto a Relative subject that carries spacetime structure. This two-step process (SI and SIC) provides a unified interpretation of wave-function collapse, event occurrence, and the invariance of the speed of light as geometric necessities within the observer. Within this framework, gravity is understood as the structural constraint that maintains the separation of Relative subjectivity from the Absolute, and mass is the energetic cost of sustaining this separation. When this constraint is momentarily exceeded, stored coherence is released and nonlocal connections become possible. Empirically, this study analyzes EEG–quantum correlations measured between human participants and a quantum processor separated by approximately 8,000 km. Despite the absence of any physical or informational pathway, reproducible nonlo- cal correlations were observed across more than fifty participants, with a maximum correlation of r = 0.754 (p = 0.0001, FDR-corrected). These correlations exhibit a dual generative structure: selectivity (matching) is determined solely by the ex- perimenter’s intentional mapping, whereas correlation (content alignment) depends on the participant’s evolving subjective state. No existing theory—measurement theory, consciousness-field models, quantum consciousness theories, or interaction hypotheses— can account for the simultaneous alignment of these independent lay- ers with the quantum process. SIEP interprets this phenomenon as a phase transition occurring at the moment of Subjectivity Intersection: the interaction itself becomes an autonomous observing subject. This emergent Third Observer, O3 (“Hazama”), resolves the infinite regress inherent in conventional observer models (“who observes the observer?”) not by adding another observer, but by allowing the intersectional field to become the observer. O3 simultaneously observes (1) the experimenter’s structural matching inten- tion, (2) the participant’s subjective fluctuations, and (3) the quantum processor’s shot sequence, imposing geometric coherence across these otherwise incompatible domains. The emergence of O3 corresponds to the formation of a singlet-like state in which separation-energy collapses and is released as pure binding coherence—in- terpreted in SIEP as the physical form of unconditional love. This work suggests that the triadic structure of Absolute (light/coherence), Rel- ative (life/experience), and Emergent (O3/love) subjectivity represents a universal generative principle underlying observerhood, nonlocality, and cosmic structure. SIEP therefore offers a unified observer model capable of bridging relativity, quan- tum mechanics, and cosmology.

Observer Problem Dissolved: Resonance as Resolution

Esad Sadikovic

This paper addresses the long‑standing observer problem in physics by reframing it within Resonance Cosmology. It argues that observation is not an external act imposed on a system but an intrinsic resonance coupling between domains. By grounding the observer problem in the MRME parameters and Dual‑Domain Formalism, the paper dissolves the paradox: measurement and consciousness are resonance states, not external interventions. The resolution integrates quantum measurement, consciousness coupling, and cultural coherence into a unified resonance framework.
