This paper derives, from a single axiom, the necessary triadic structure that any reality containing observers must have. The method is propositional, in the tradition of Wittgenstein, Spinoza, and Proclus. The argument combines Bostrom's view from inside reality with 't Hooft's view from outside reality through an axiom that lives at the meeting point of both perspectives—the axiom that observation is observed. The triadic structure derived from this axiom—Configured Observation Plane, abbreviated COP, comprising Configuration, Observation, and Plane—is shown to be consistent with the formal structure of both general relativity and quantum mechanics, and to identify what each theory requires in order to be complete at the structural level. The propositions stand or fall on their own merits, and the reader can examine them directly. We do not derive the field equations of general relativity or the Born rule of quantum mechanics; we derive the triadic structure that both formalisms exhibit and that any complete account of observation obtaining within reality must exhibit. The Configured Observation Planes (COP) framework derives quantum mechanics, general relativity, the gravitational coupling constant, the mass-energy relation E=mc², the Born rule, and Darwinian selection from a single geometric object: the projective blow-up of the probability simplex. The Riemann Hypothesis follows as a structural consequence of the same construction. A strictly positive mass gap is constructed for quantum SU(N) Yang-Mills theory in four dimensions, including SU(3). This note collects the program's results across thirteen papers deposited from March 2026 to April 2026, organized by domain: foundations of mathematics, physics (quantum mechanics, gravity, the Yang-Mills mass gap, cosmology, the dark sector, and unified conscious experience), the Riemann Hypothesis, and the framework's specializations to selection dynamics, biology, consciousness, and cultural systems. Empirical predictions, closed open problems, and forward directions are included. This version replaces and extends the April 2026 summary (previous version).
Contemporary foundations of physics divides into two programs that address different questions and leave a third unanswered. Reconstruction programs derive quantum structure from operational axioms but do not explain why those axioms hold. Interpretational programs address what the quantum formalism describes but presuppose its mathematical structure. Neither program asks what the necessary conditions for any physically admissible theory are. This paper addresses that third question by proposing the Triadic Reality Model (TRM): the claim that any framework capable of coherently grounding physics must instantiate three irreducible co-primitives: L3 (the classical laws of logic as an ontological constraint on actualized states), I-infinity (an infinite configurability space of L3-respecting informational structures), and A (a primitive actualization principle prior to and generative of temporal structure). The three are defended individually and shown to be irreducible. The TRM is not a rival dynamical theory but an ecumenical meta-framework specifying necessary conditions that any admissible physical theory must satisfy. Classical mechanics and quantum mechanics are analyzed as triadic models. Falsifiability is addressed. The bridge equation is decomposed into three explicitly distinguished claims: grounding, characterization, and plenitude identity. Keywords: foundations of physics, logical realism, actualization, quantum reconstruction, philosophy of physics, triadic ontology, transcendental necessity, information
This paper gives a unified description of quantum theory and relativity as readings of different axes of a single triadic structure (Δ, Λ, Ψ), presupposing the preceding paper "The Triadic Structure (Δ, Λ, Ψ): Foundations in Orientation, Relation, and Dimension" (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20986811). The unification claimed is a unification of description, not of dynamics: no new dynamics are introduced, and "unification" here does not refer to gauge grand unification (GUT). The central new result: the light-cone coordinates of the 1+1-dimensional Minkowski plane form the standard two-dimensional triad as they stand (Proposition 1.1). The two poles V₊, V₋ are the two null directions; parity is P = Ψ; time reversal is T = −Ψ; the total spacetime inversion is PT = −id = Δ²; the boost of rapidity s is exp(sσ) = diag(eˢ, e⁻ˢ); and a boost composed with parity is the scaled exchange Ψ_λ (λ = e⁻ˢ). Under boosts the interval x₊x₋ is invariant while only the ratio x₊/x₋ moves (Proposition 2.1): the invariance of the interval is "a fixed product with a free ratio" — the same structure as the uncertainty relation (the fixed product ℏ with a free ratio). On the quantum side the identifications of the preceding paper are inherited: the complex unit i as the generator Δ (in the sense of right multiplication), the spinor's 2π as Δ², and the KMS antiperiodicity as a conditional reading. A dictionary maps the basic objects of both theories onto the elements and axes of one triad, and the junction identity −id = Δ² = PT ties them to one and the same half-period residue (Theorem 4.1). Gravity is placed as follows: by axiom T2 of the preceding paper, the scale cannot be fixed from inside the structure; the metric field is read as the field that supplies this externally required calibration at each point. The Einstein equations, the gauge content, and the values of the constants are external inputs and are not derived. A demarcation table states the status of every claim (theorem / citation / identification / reading / conditional / unconstructed), and criteria of attainment (U1–U3) for a unification of dynamics are defined, with a self-assessment of this paper against them. This paper presents CAT’s Theory as a foundational ontological axiom: Reality = Pattern × Intent × Presence (P × I × Pr), where the multiplicative structure ensures that existence requires all three factors to be non-zero. We demonstrate that this triadic framework provides a unified account of quantum mechanical phenomena (superposition, entanglement, measurement), logical structure (the three laws of logic), and metaphysical necessity (grounding existence itself). The theory resolves classical paradoxes by recognizing them as tension points within the triadic structure, and it offers testable predictions across physical, computational, and cognitive domains. We argue that P × I × Pr is not merely descriptive but constitutive of reality, with the Christian Trinity emerging as the necessary metaphysical ground for these three universal factors.
The relationship between geometry and probability is usually imposed from outside: one assumes a space, then studies processes on it. This paper develops the Configured Observation Planes (COP) framework, in which geometric and wavetheoretic structure emerges from a probabilistic foundation without being assumed. The starting point is a Markov model on the probability simplex Δ2, whose boundary—the seam—plays the role of a singularity. The central geometric construction is the projective blow-up, which replaces the seam with the real projective plane RP2,encoding the direction of approach as irreducible data. Four main results are established. (i) The seam-resolved triadic Markov kernel is Feller on a compact state space, admits at least one stationary probability measure, and any stationary measuresatisfies an explicit seam-mass upper bound; for the triadic map the seam-entry probability admits a closed-form estimate via Beta distribution tails (Theorem 29). (ii) Klein–Gordon and Schrödinger wave equation dynamics are derived from the overlap-mismatch structure of adjacent probe states under internal assumptions that are discharged from framework-first principles (Discharges A–D). (iii) From probe transition statistics alone, without prior geometric assumptions, we construct a discrete connection, define loop holonomies as curvature proxies, prove stability under graph refinement with explicit error budgets, and establish that persistent nontrivial holonomy constitutes an operational obstruction to flatness; the resulting curvature density proxy is gauge-invariant under arbitrary relabeling of probe vertices (Sections 14–22). (iv) Every stationary measure of the Track U chain satisfies an explicit lower bound on expected Shannon entropy, with the degree of entropic preference controlled quantitatively by the seam parameters of Theorem 29 (Corollary 30). As a structural consequence of the blow-up construction, the oriented lift q : S2 → RP2 carries Z2 holonomy identical in structure to the spinor phase acquired under a 2π rotation. The coupling of the geometry lane (Track G) and the Markov lane (Track U) into a single unified construction, and the full B-strong refinement robustness program, are designated as open problems. The COP framework additionally contains, as a provable special case, the core mathematical structure of Darwinian selection dynamics; this connection—including chirality lock-in theorems, a quantitative diversity floor, and the Z2 parity correspondence—is developed in Appendix G.
Classical theories typically model a complete record as a unary function of a physical state, treating observation conditions as external parameters. However, quantum mechanics exhibits a fundamental tension: the same independently certified physical input can yield different complete records when observation conditions vary, giving rise to the century-old measurement problem and the EPR paradox. In this work, we derive the necessary state architecture to resolve this without conflating the physical input with the conditions through which its record is formed. By applying behavioral equivalence and redundancy elimination within the category of sets, we prove that the formation-side difference cannot be mathematically removed. This forces the “observation state” to emerge as an irreducible, objective, state-bearing axis, establishing a strict physical–observation dual-axis (PODA) architecture. We emphasize that this dual-axis structure represents two non-interchangeable projection responsibilities, rather than orthogonal coordinates or dynamically decoupled systems. Under stated coherence and composition conditions, this dual-axis geometry naturally yields the complex field, binary projective geometry, and the Born trace pairing. Crucially, it further derives the Schrödinger equation as a covariant temporal composition, the CHSH inequality, and the attainable Tsirelson bound. In standard quantum mechanics, the complex field, theSchrödingerequation, and the Born rule are independent axioms. In our framework, they are unified as geometric corollaries of the PODA structure. Within this framework, the notorious quantum paradoxes are naturally dissolved: “wave-function collapse” is revealed as a conditional transition at the observation interface, and “decoherence” is understood as the objective geometric coupling between the physical and observation axes, rather than random environmental noise. Bell violation is thereby identified not as superluminal influence, but as the absence of a positive global answer section across incompatible observation states. Finally, the theory proposes a specific table-top experiment that predicts a sharp, parameter-free numerical constant: a geometric phase of (0.7π ≈ 2.1991) radians. This value directly distinguishes the dual-axis mechanism from standard quantum mechanics, which predicts exactly zero for the same configuration. Observing this constant would confirm the physical reality of the observation axis, whereas a null result falsifies the mechanism.
