CAT’s Theory: A Triadic Ontological Framework Unifying Quantum Mechanics, Logic, and Metaphysics

Abstract

This paper presents CAT’s Theory as a foundational ontological axiom: Reality = Pattern × Intent × Presence (P × I × Pr), where the multiplicative structure ensures that existence requires all three factors to be non-zero. We demonstrate that this triadic framework provides a unified account of quantum mechanical phenomena (superposition, entanglement, measurement), logical structure (the three laws of logic), and metaphysical necessity (grounding existence itself). The theory resolves classical paradoxes by recognizing them as tension points within the triadic structure, and it offers testable predictions across physical, computational, and cognitive domains. We argue that P × I × Pr is not merely descriptive but constitutive of reality, with the Christian Trinity emerging as the necessary metaphysical ground for these three universal factors.

CAT'S THEORY: Explaining Schrödinger's Cat — Resolving the Measurement Problem Through Triadic Ontology

Coty Austin Trout

Schrödinger's cat paradox has persisted for nearly a century as a demonstration of the apparent absurdity of quantum superposition when extended to macroscopic scales. This technical note demonstrates that the paradox dissolves entirely within the CAT'S Theory framework through the triadic invariant Reality = Pattern × Intent × Presence (P × I × Pr). We argue that the cat is neither "both alive and dead" nor the victim of mysterious collapse. Instead, superposition represents a state where Presence (Pr) has not yet instantiated, yielding P × I × 0 = 0 (potential but not actual). Measurement does not "cause" collapse through mysterious observer effects; it provides the Presence component required for actualization. This resolution eliminates the need for Multiple Worlds or hidden variables while maintaining consistency with quantum mechanical predictions.

CAT'S THEORY: A Triadic Ontological Framework Unifying Quantum Mechanics Logic and Metaphysics

Coty Austin Trout

This paper formalizes the recursive descent phase of CAT'S Theory. Assuming the triadic invariant Reality = Pattern x Intent x Presence as a necessary condition for realized reality, and making explicit a binary selection gate within Intent, we define Ontological Reverse Engineering (ORE) as the inverse application of the invariant. Presence-instantiated observables are treated as sufficient constraints for reconstructing latent Intent fields under fixed Pattern structure. We present a bidirectional formalism (generation and inversion), a recursive descent algorithm for field reconstruction, identifiability conditions for well-posedness, and falsifiable predictions that distinguish the refraction/inversion model from unconstrained alternatives. This work establishes the operational closure of the theory, demonstrating that the shadow-to-source reconstruction is an inverse application of the same invariant governing forward instantiation.

The Triadic Reality Model: Irreducible Foundations for Physics

James (JD) Longmire

Contemporary foundations of physics divides into two programs that address different questions and leave a third unanswered. Reconstruction programs derive quantum structure from operational axioms but do not explain why those axioms hold. Interpretational programs address what the quantum formalism describes but presuppose its mathematical structure. Neither program asks what the necessary conditions for any physically admissible theory are. This paper addresses that third question by proposing the Triadic Reality Model (TRM): the claim that any framework capable of coherently grounding physics must instantiate three irreducible co-primitives: L3 (the classical laws of logic as an ontological constraint on actualized states), I-infinity (an infinite configurability space of L3-respecting informational structures), and A (a primitive actualization principle prior to and generative of temporal structure). The three are defended individually and shown to be irreducible. The TRM is not a rival dynamical theory but an ecumenical meta-framework specifying necessary conditions that any admissible physical theory must satisfy. Classical mechanics and quantum mechanics are analyzed as triadic models. Falsifiability is addressed. The bridge equation is decomposed into three explicitly distinguished claims: grounding, characterization, and plenitude identity. Keywords: foundations of physics, logical realism, actualization, quantum reconstruction, philosophy of physics, triadic ontology, transcendental necessity, information

Logic Realism Theory: Philosophical Foundations

James (JD) Longmire

Logic Realism Theory (LRT) proposes that the Three Fundamental Laws of Logic (3FLL)—Identity, Non-Contradiction, and Excluded Middle—are not merely rules of reasoning but ontological constraints constitutive of physical distinguishability. The core evidence is an asymmetry: we can conceive of 3FLL violations, yet physical reality never produces them. This asymmetry indicates that 3FLL constrain reality, not merely cognition. This paper develops the philosophical foundations of this claim. We argue that: (1) 3FLL have a dual character, functioning both epistemically and ontologically; (2) quantum mechanics emerges as the unique "interface" structure mediating between non-Boolean possibility and Boolean actuality; (3) this framework resolves longstanding interpretive puzzles while maintaining scientific realism. The result is a form of structural realism grounded in logical necessity rather than contingent physical law.

+-Theory: A Generative Foundation for Logic, Computation, Space, and Quantum Mechanics

Arthur Nogman

This work presents a unified generative framework for logic, computation, and physical theories, starting from a minimal recursive structure. Rather than assuming pre-existing logical axioms, computational primitives, or physical laws, the framework derives them as emergent features of a single generative process governed by stabilization and constraint propagation. Within this model, classical logic and computation arise as stabilized regimes of recursive structure, while quantum-mechanical phenomena are interpreted as pre-stabilization behavior—patterns that have not yet resolved into invariant records at the emergent spatial level. Superposition, interference, entanglement, and measurement are described structurally, without invoking parallel-world narratives or epistemic uncertainty. Measurement is treated as constraint coupling that forces refinement until a stable record forms. The framework emphasizes pattern persistence, invariance under refinement, and dynamic resolution as organizing principles. It provides a conceptual account of quantum behavior that is consistent with standard quantum mechanics while reframing it as a consequence of generative structure rather than an axiomatic starting point. This work is foundational and conceptual in nature. It does not propose new experimental predictions or modifications to established physical theory, but aims to clarify the structural relationship between computation, logic, and physics, and to offer a coherent ontological picture underlying these domains.Contact: arthur.nogman@gmail.com
