CARD II: Insights Into the Geometric Origin of Quantum Behavior

Abstract

This manuscript examines how a causal constraint on proper acceleration—correcting a structural omission in special relativity—operates within the CARD framework to produce the discrete phenomena traditionally attributed to quantum postulates. Within this framework, worldlines approaching the causal limit undergo packetized curvature-correction events that carry a minimum action and enforce finite, admissible trajectories. By dissecting the geometric structure that lies beneath this mechanism, the Acceleration–Radius Decomposition (ARD) is identified as the deeper causal layer governing when and how curvature correction activates. These geometric constraints introduce a minimum action that regulates discrete energy exchange, prevents the classical spiral-in collapse of atomic orbits, establishes a natural ground-state radius, and produces quantized emission through discrete curvature-correction packets. The resulting minimum action K is shown to coincide with the Planck constant h-bar, indicating that the quantum of action emerges from the causal structure of spacetime rather than from independent postulates. These insights suggest that quantum mechanics is an effective description of systems operating near the causal-acceleration limit and that its characteristic discreteness reflects underlying geometric dynamics.

Geometric Origin of Quantum Waves from Finite Action

Bin Li

Quantum mechanics introduces wave--particle duality as a postulate, yet the geometric origin of wave behavior has never been derived from first principles. This work shows that a finite quantum of action, $\hbar_{\mathrm{geom}}$, compactifies the classical action manifold into a periodic $U(1)$ phase space. Physical observables depend only on modular action $S \bmod 2\pi\hbar_{\mathrm{geom}}$, making interference a direct geometric necessity. We present this as a theorem, proving that any system with finite $\hbar_{\mathrm{geom}}$ must exhibit wave interference, while the classical limit corresponds to decompactification $\hbar_{\mathrm{geom}}\!\to\!0$. Chronon Field Theory (CFT) provides the physical substrate for this geometry: its causal field $\Phi^\mu$ carries quantized symplectic flux $\oint\omega=\hbar_{\mathrm{geom}}$, establishing Planck’s constant as a geometric invariant of causal alignment. This result unifies modular action, quantization, and spacetime geometry, revealing the wave nature of matter as a consequence of finite causal curvature. The framework predicts quantized phase discontinuities in mesoscopic interferometry, offering an avenue for direct experimental validation.

Reinterpreting Quantum Evolution as Causal Alignment: A Geometric Field Theory of the Present

Bin Li

Modern quantum theory treats time as an external parameter, whereas relativity embeds all events within a static spacetime manifold. Neither framework explains the physical reality of the “Now” or the mechanism by which causal progression unfolds. Chronon Field Theory (CFT) introduces an intrinsic causal alignment field Φμ(x)\( \) whose self-organization generates both geometry and temporality. Quantization arises from the discrete holonomy of the causal connection, while measurement corresponds to boundary-induced synchronization of causal phases. The characteristic coherence speed \( v_{\mathrm{coh}}=\sqrt{J/\chi}=c \) defines the invariant rate at which causal order advances—an intrinsic causal rate rather than the motion of matter or signals. The geometric action quantum \( hbar_{\mathrm{geom}} \), derived from the CFT parameters (J, λ, χ), provides the natural origin of Planck’s constant. Within this framework, quantum discreteness, relativistic invariance, and temporal becoming emerge as complementary manifestations of a single causal–geometric field dynamics.

Emergent Quantum Structures from a Geometric Helical Field Framework

Michael Dawod

Abstract In this work, we investigate the emergence of quantum structures within a purely geometric field framework based on a unified helical configuration. Building on the geometric foundations and limiting recovery principles established in the preceding papers of this series, we demonstrate that quantization arises as a consequence of topological and spectral constraints imposed on the underlying helical field, rather than being introduced as a fundamental postulate. We show that discrete spectral sectors naturally follow from global and local topological conditions on the field configuration space, leading to an intrinsic form of quantization without invoking canonical commutation relations or operator axioms. Effective quantum operators are constructed directly from geometric functionals of the helical field, yielding non-commutative structures as emergent features of constrained geometry. Within this setting, Planck’s constant appears as an effective parameter characterizing the spectral density of admissible configurations, rather than as a fundamental universal constant. The framework consistently recovers standard quantum kinematics in appropriate limiting regimes while remaining fully compatible with the classical and relativistic limits previously derived. This approach provides a coherent geometric interpretation of quantum discreteness, operator structure, and effective constants, thereby offering a unified perspective in which classical, relativistic, and quantum descriptions arise from a single geometric field without assuming independent foundational layers.

Discrete Dynamics as the Origin of Spacetime, Quantum Probability, and Friction and Emergent Rules Beyond the Born Rule

This framework preserves the empirical success of existing physical theories while proposing an alternative set of foundational assumptions from which their standard formulations emerge as effective limits. Geometric Constraint Layers in Quantum Systems: a Conceptual Reinterpretation of Dynamical Structure

Raphael Bortoli

Quantum geometry is conventionally understood as a descriptive structure characterizing the space of quantum states. In this work, we examine an alternative but fully compatible interpretation in which geometric quantities—such as Berry curvature and the quantum metric—function effectively as constraint layers shaping the set of admissible dynamical trajectories. Without introducing new degrees of freedom or modifying established theoretical frameworks, we analyze how geometric terms enter semiclassical equations of motion and transport responses in quantum systems. In particular, anomalous velocity contributions and geometry-dependent transport coefficients indicate that geometry operates not merely as a passive descriptor, but as an active structural condition on system evolution. This shift from geometry as description to geometry as constraint does not alter the formalism, but reorganizes its interpretation, reducing conceptual fragmentation by unifying diverse geometry-dependent effects under a common structural principle. It highlights that the evolution of quantum systems is not only governed by dynamical variables, but also by the geometric structure that restricts the space of accessible trajectories. This perspective suggests that transport phenomena may be more fruitfully analyzed through constraint-space formulations rather than purely state-space descriptions. We clarify the scope and limits of this reinterpretation, emphasizing that it introduces no new physical interactions or ontological commitments. Instead, it provides a conceptually sharper and operationally informative framework for understanding the role of geometry in quantum dynamics and transport.

From Geometric Constraints to the Emergence of Quantum Mechanics: The Relation Matrix-MPCT Unification Theory

lichao

This paper proposes and validates a revolutionary foundational physics framework, demonstrating for the first time that quantum mechanics can naturally emerge from pure principles of geometric constraints. We establish a two-level unified theory: at the top level is the Relation Matrix R_{ij} describing the abstract relational network of the universe, and at the bottom level is the Minimal Phase Closed Triangle (MPCT) network serving as the physical implementation unit. By introducing a curvature constraint action, we rigorously derive the Schrödinger equation, quantization conditions, and Planck's constant, and for the first time directly calculate the fine-structure constant from geometric principles. Core Innovations: Proposed the new paradigm "Existence is relation, relation is geometry," defining fundamental physical entities as relations rather than particles. Established an exact mathematical mapping between the Relation Matrix R and the MPCT network. Derived quantum mechanics from the curvature constraint action \mathcal{I} = \int [L_c + \frac{\lambda}{2}(\kappa - \kappa_R)^2]dt. Discovered the geometric compression factor \eta(n,l,m) and its scaling law \eta \propto n^{0.67}. Implemented strict curvature calculations based on the relation matrix, verifying \eta \propto (\text{Var}(\kappa_R))^{0.15}. Numerical simulations of the hydrogen atom system confirmed the quantized distribution of MPCT areas, discovering the new scaling law \Delta A \propto n^{3.55}. Theoretical predictions agree with numerical results within 3.4% accuracy, with the fine-structure constant calculation error at 15.2%. This work provides a novel geometric perspective for understanding the essence of quantum phenomena and indicates a possible path toward unifying quantum mechanics and gravity.
