# Zenodo description — Logon Framework v3.18 ## What this is **Logon Framework v3.18** is a strict generalization of v3.17. It extends the typed kernel from a discrete/Markov presentation to **process-level objects** capable of expressing: - non-Markov (history-dependent) dynamics,- amplitude/interference as a first-class possibility (not merely hidden-state stochasticity),- endogenous locality via a coupling field **W** with rate-limited updates (finite propagation),- coarse-graining / scaling as typed maps on histories, with explicit licensing conditions for when an effective classical/Markov description is valid. v3.18 is deliberately scoped as an **expressibility / landing-site** document. It does not claim to derive physics results; it aims to provide clean typed places where those structures could live, and to state explicit admissibility/firewall constraints that keep the framework checkable. ## Files - `logon_framework_v3.18.md` — main v3.18 document. ## Relationship to v3.17 v3.17 remains the stable discrete kernel document. v3.18 does not replace it; it broadens the kernel so that v3.17 is recovered as a special case (classical process class + Markov factorization). ## Keywords logon framework; typed kernel; process objects; non-Markov dynamics; decoherence licensing; coarse-graining; emergent locality; admissibility; epistemic firewall

Paper 16 of the Admissibility Physics Framework (APF), Markov Breakdown and the Hard Problems. When the enforcement Markov condition fails, the substrate can no longer maintain a record — and that failure is where the framework locates the measurement problem, the arrow of time, and the classical limit. What it contains. The record-maintenance condition as a perfect-error-correction (Markov) condition; the A1-derived record-survival threshold (E/C)*n = (2n−1)/(2n−1), giving 5/7 at n = 3; and the Markov-breakdown transition with mean-field exponents β = γ = 1. Recent work fixes the beyond-mean-field class: by the forced-universality criterion the local-stabilizer (surface/toric-code) substrate sits in sub-family B (2D percolation), and the saturation-percolation bridge measures ν̂ = 1.44 ± 0.12 ≈ 4/3 at that threshold. The quantum–classical boundary. The record-survival rate collapses as interface count grows — large systems decohere at once, microscopic ones stay robust — which is the framework's account of why big things are classical. Honest non-claims. The mean-field β = γ = 1 is the approximation; the conditional-mutual-information variance exponent at the threshold still needs the percolation-class field theory. The measured correlation-length exponent ν and the CMI-variance exponent are kept distinct. About the APF series. The Admissibility Physics Framework derives Standard Model and cosmological structure from a single primitive — finite enforcement capacity — through a chain of papers plus a machine-verifiable engine. Each paper has a main text and, where applicable, a Technical Supplement, deposited on Zenodo and collected in the admissibility_physics community; the canonical engine (APF-Engine v24.3.427, 3,918 bank-registered checks) backs every quantitative claim. This is the Technical Supplement — the proof-dense companion and the canonical formal record for the paper's claims. The main paper argues; the supplement proves. Every load-bearing claim traces to a named check function in the APF verification engine, and the supplement is the document a referee should audit first. The supplement is self-contained for Paper 14: every definition, proof, and grade the paper rests on appears in this one document — the substrate primitives and the marginal admissibility floor, proved; the locality and cost-uniqueness lemmas; the Δ calculus with both fences' witnesses written out; the Boolean-defender bridge with its five certified physical hypotheses and the 3-4-5 worked witness computed on the page; the gate pipeline with a gate-by-axiom comparison to the operational-reconstruction literature (Hardy; Chiribella–D'Ariano–Perinotti; Masanes–Müller; Barnum–Wilce; Spekkens; Abramsky–Brandenburger); the native correlation family constructed explicitly, rung by rung; the resolution triad set against standard thermodynamics (Landauer, erasure, environment-assisted recovery); a consolidated readings register listing every claim below [P] with its falsifier and status; a glossary mapping the framework's vocabulary onto standard quantum-information terms; and a worked end-to-end instance — device to interrogation normal form to exact feasibility certificate to priced ledger, with every tolerance explicit. A reproducibility appendix pins every claim to the APF theorem bank at a named GitHub commit and the archived Engine release (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18529115); the certificates reproduce deterministically in exact rational arithmetic. About the series. Admissibility Physics is a structural realist reconstruction program built on a single commitment: any bounded region of the world can hold only finitely many distinctions. A principle of least enforcement cost then selects, among all the ways those distinctions might be arranged, the configurations a finite world can sustain. From this the content of physics is reconstructed rather than postulated: the Standard Model's gauge group and matter content, the Hilbert-space and Born-rule architecture of quantum mechanics, the geometry and field equations of general relativity, the four laws of thermodynamics, and the large-scale budget of cosmology emerge as different readings of one finite-capacity ledger. The unification is quantitative as well as conceptual: the framework's dimensionless constants appear not as free parameters but as counts read off that ledger — among them the dark-energy fraction ΩΛ = 42/61 and the weak mixing angle sin2θW = 3/13 — fixed, in the strongest cases, to within current measurement. The core derivation runs Papers 0–11; the extension papers carry the individual sectors. Each paper's main text and Technical Supplement is deposited separately; every quantitative claim traces to a named, executable check in the public theorem bank (over 3,800 bank-registered theorems, 48 quantitative predictions); and each result is carried at an explicit, graded level of confidence — from analytically forced to structurally grounded — with the measurements that would refute it named. Admissibility Physics is offered as a candidate, not a finished theory. If the program holds, the laws of physics could not have been otherwise: they are what a finite world permits. The definition of entropy in both classical and quantum contexts relies on a coarse-graining of the underlying microscopic description. While this dependence is widely acknowledged, the physical constraints that determine which coarse-grainings are admissible are rarely made explicit. This issue becomes particularly acute when the universe is treated as a closed system, where no external observer or privileged level of description can be assumed. Any characterization of entropy — including claims about the low-entropy initial conditions of the universe — must then be grounded in descriptions that can be physically instantiated from within the system itself. In this work, we introduce a rigorous operational framework that establishes explicit physical selection principles over the space of admissible descriptions. We organize these criteria into necessary conditions (local accessibility and physical implementation via internal interactions) and practical sufficiency conditions (finite resource requirements anchored in Landauer’s principle, dynamical stability, and effective consistency). To demonstrate the validity of our framework, we introduce a concrete one-dimensional spin-chain toy model, illustrating how mathematically valid global partitions fail to be physically realizable due to dynamic propagation limits and informational constraints. We analyze the far-reaching implications of this restriction across three domains. In classical statistical mechanics, it limits the arbitrariness of macrostate definitions. In quantum theory, it identifies environment-induced decoherence (einselection) not merely as a formal tool, but as the objective dynamical mechanism that forces the emergence of admissible internal partitions. In cosmology, it resolves foundational circularities in the quasi-classical histories framework and reframes the thermodynamic arrow of time as a "doubly relational" property—dependent both on cosmic boundary conditions and on the material limits of internal subsystems. Our framework clarifies the operational status of entropy as an emergent property of physically instantiated descriptions within a universe that observes itself.
Abstract We present Kunato Core Ver.5.0.0, a general framework for ontological admission, typed representation transport, empirical identifiability, effective-structure validation, and provenance-preserving epistemic state transition. The framework addresses a recurrent inferential problem across mathematical physics, statistical inference, inverse problems, effective theories, information theory, complex systems, quantum theory, and scientific realism: mathematical definability, empirical adequacy, model identification, and physical realization are distinct achievements and must not be silently promoted into one another. Kunato formalizes this separation through the constraint Formal(M) AND Emp(M; O) DOES NOT IMPLY Ontic(M). No representation receives automatic ontological privilege. Finite observation provides a first source of non-identification. Distinct formal models can agree exactly on a finite empirical record; in particular, uncountably many models can be constructed that coincide on any prescribed finite set of sample points. This establishes non-uniqueness within the relevant formal model class without promoting mathematical alternatives into claims about distinct physical causal histories. Finite measurement precision is treated through fibers of explicit resolution maps rather than by identifying metric neighborhoods with equivalence classes. The framework further distinguishes finite-dimensional state spaces from finite-state ontologies: finite-dimensional complex Hilbert spaces can contain a continuum of pure-state rays, whereas finite operational distinguishability requires additional assumptions such as a uniform positive separation scale on a compact state space. For stochastic observations, Kunato separates distributional identifiability, asymptotic inference, finite-sample discrimination, and zero-error identification. Positive overlap between competing observational laws prevents zero-error discrimination from the corresponding finite record. Increasing statistical evidence can therefore strengthen discrimination without automatically supplying an ontological realization warrant. Identification within a declared candidate class likewise remains conditional on that class and does not establish that physical reality belongs to it. The mathematical core is a typed property-transport calculus. Given a representation map Phi: X -> Y and a property P: X -> Z, P factors through Phi precisely when P is constant on every fiber of Phi. Equivalently, the kernel equivalence relation induced by Phi is contained in the kernel equivalence relation induced by P. This criterion separates state identification from property identification: a non-injective representation may fail to recover individual source states while still determining every property invariant on its fibers. Representation types, identified by their induced fiber equivalence relations, are organized by refinement within the complete lattice of equivalence relations on X. This provides a common mathematical structure for coarse-graining, quotient representations, projections, information loss, recoverability, and comparison of effective descriptions. Refinement is a partial order, so representations may also be incomparable. Effective structures consequently require property-specific transport warrants. Compression of a unitary parent operator, for example, need not preserve unitarity or normality. Conversely, non-normality alone does not entail a non-real spectrum, irreversibility, non-Markovianity, or absence of characteristic timescales. Observable symmetry, effective geometry, statistical regularity, entropy, information structure, temporal scales, and other representation-dependent properties cannot be transported automatically to a parent ontology. Kunato operationalizes these restrictions through methodological admission protocols. The Metric Admission Protocol regulates inference from effective metric structure to fundamental geometry. The Statistical-Invariant Admission Protocol separates existence of a mean from typicality, concentration, and self-averaging. The Timescale Admission Protocol distinguishes observed decay and hazard structure from claims about fundamental temporal dynamics. The Informational-Semantic Admission Protocol constrains inference from probability, entropy, information geometry, and semantic structure to latent ontology. The Criticality Admission Protocol separates phenomenological scaling from stronger claims of critical structure by requiring appropriately scoped diagnostics such as finite-size behavior, exponent stability, data collapse, robustness analysis, and negative controls. These protocols are methodological admission criteria rather than asserted laws of nature. Ontological admission is governed by differentiated semantic, fit, identification, scope, realization, revocation, and provenance warrants. These warrant types prevent empirical fit, interpretation, candidate-class identification, physical realization, and evidential history from being collapsed into an undifferentiated notion of support. Epistemic judgments are represented as contextual and versioned states, allowing changes in evidence, candidate classes, semantics, scope, and warrants to be reconstructed as explicit state transitions rather than hidden revisions. A central distinction is that UNRESOLVED is not REJECTED. Failure to establish an adequate promotion warrant blocks the requested inference but does not establish falsity or nonexistence. Rejection requires an independent refutation condition. Revocation acts on claims and accepted epistemic states while retaining their provenance; it does not imply any operation on authors or other persons. Self-application closes the framework. Continuum models, discrete models, cellular automata, XOR-based constructions, effective theories, quantum representations, and Kunato itself receive no exemption from the admission rules. Failure to identify a continuum ontology does not identify a discrete ontology, empirical adequacy of a constructive model does not establish its fundamental realization, and formal validity of Kunato does not confer physical ontological status on Kunato. The framework therefore entails neither a privileged fundamental model nor ontological nihilism. Not identified does not imply false, and not admitted does not imply nonexistent. Kunato Core Ver.5.0.0 provides a unified formal and computational vocabulary for ontological admission, finite-data non-identification, finite-record discrimination, inverse problems, coarse-graining, property factorization, representation refinement, effective dynamics, statistical invariants, temporal inference, information-theoretic interpretation, criticality assessment, model-class identification, provenance, epistemic-state revision, and scientific realism. Its objective is not to determine a preferred ontology by methodological fiat, but to make the inferential boundaries between representation, observation, identification, and physical realization explicit and auditable. The framework is summarized by four constraints: no hidden epistemic transition; no hidden ontological promotion; no untyped representational transport; and no self-exemption. Its terminal methodological principle is: no representation receives automatic ontological privilege.
