Mind-Brain Relationship Theories and Implications of Quantum Psychology

Yie Yi-duo

When the achievements of quantum theory and the theory of relativity made physics develop from classical physics to modern physics, quantum psychology came into being.Quantum psychology gives its own explainations on mind-brain relationships, that is mind and brain activities are controlled by the quantum domain, consciousness plays a leading role in mind-brain system. There is good chance that consciousness, memory and other mental phenomena comply with quantum laws.In this paper, quantum psychology theories have been summarized, and some thoughts have been given.

Reflections on the quantum measurement paradox: A. J. Leggett

Basil J. Hiley, F. David Peat

Consideration of the classic measurement paradox of quantum mechanics raises the question: What is the relationship between acceptable theories of the physical world at different levels? It is suggested that it is similar to the relationship between maps of different types and that, while theories at different levels need not be derivable from one another, they must at least be mutually consistent in their predictions. The relationship between quantum mechanics, in its standard interpretation, and classical physics fails this test. Existing attempts to resolve the measurement paradox are briefly reviewed, and it is suggested that one avenue has been insufficiently explored; namely, the possibility that the complexity of a physical system may itself be a relevant variable which may introdu;ce new physical principles. Possible reasons for this lacuna are discussed, and it is pointed out that some of the relevant questions are now within the reach of an experimental test.

Previously Unknown Physical Formulas which Hold in a Hydrogen Atom and are Derived without Using Quantum Mechanics

Koshun Suto

It is thought that quantum mechanics is the physical science describing the behavior of the electron in the micro world, e.g., inside a hydrogen atom. However, the author has previously derived the energy-momentum relationship which holds inside a hydrogen atom. This paper uses that relationship to investigate the relationships between physical quantities which hold in a hydrogen atom. In this paper, formulas are derived which hold in the micro world and make more accurate predictions than the classical quantum theory. This paper concludes that quantum mechanics is not the only theory enabling investigation of the micro world.
