Abstract

This study explored the potential applications of quantum computing in personalized education, identifying theoretical opportunities and challenges in integrating quantum algorithms into adaptive learning systems. Through a systematic review of the literature published between 2020 and 2024, relevant academic sources on quantum pedagogy, quantum computing in education and related topics were analyzed. The results revealed a positive impact of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), on higher education, improving learning personalization and academic performance. Significant gap in the training of quantum physics teachers for secondary education was identified, underlining the need for specific professional development programmers. The study concluded that the integration of technologies such as AI and quantum computing has great potential to optimize the effectiveness of customized education systems. However, challenges were faced such as the lack of adequate teacher training and the need for specific pedagogical frameworks. Proposed future lines of research, including long-term empirical studies on the impact of quantum pedagogy, development of pedagogical frameworks for the integration of quantum computing in personalized education, and the exploration of the intersection between AI and quantum computing in educational contexts.

Quantum Artificial Intelligence For Personalized Learning: Architectures, Models, And Future Educational Ecosystems

Prakash Upadhyay, Dr Rakesh Kumar Pathak, Priyanka Singh +3 more

Personalized learning has emerged as a central paradigm in modern education, emphasizing the adaptation of instructional content, learning pathways, assessment strategies, and feedback mechanisms to meet the unique needs of individual learners. While classical artificial intelligence (AI) has enabled significant progress through adaptive learning systems, recommender engines, and learning analytics. Classical AI faces several limitations, including computational scalability issues and challenges in high-dimensional optimization. Furthermore, it struggles to effectively model uncertainty and the complex interdependencies inherent in human learning processes. Quantum Artificial Intelligence (Quantum AI), which integrates quantum computing principles with intelligent algorithms, offers a transformative opportunity to address these limitations. This study presents an in-depth conceptual and technical examination of Quantum AI for personalized learning. A comprehensive architecture encompassing quantum-enhanced learner modeling, adaptive content optimization, assessment intelligence, and hybrid quantum–classical integration is proposed. A systematic literature review situates this study within the existing research on personalized learning, quantum computing, and quantum machine learning. The ethical, pedagogical, and societal implications are critically analyzed, and future research directions are outlined. This paper positions Quantum AI as a foundational enabler of next-generation personalized learning ecosystems and contributes a structured framework suitable for researchers, system designers, and policymakers.

Abstract This paper explores the transformative potential of quan- tum computing in the realm of personalized learning. Tradi- tional machine learning models and GPU-based approaches have long been utilized to tailor educational experiences to individual student needs. However, these methods face significant challenges in terms of scalability, computational efficiency, and real-time adaptation to the dynamic nature of educational data. This study proposes leveraging quantum computing to address these limitations. We review existing personalized learning systems, classical machine learning methods, and emerging quantum computing applications in education. We then outline a protocol for data collection, privacy preservation using quantum techniques, and prepro- cessing, followed by the development and implementation of quantum algorithms specifically designed for personalized learning. Our findings indicate that quantum algorithms of- fer substantial improvements in efficiency, scalability, and personalization quality compared to classical methods. This paper discusses the implications of integrating quantum com- puting into educational systems, highlighting the potential for enhanced teaching methodologies, curriculum design, and overall student experiences. We conclude by summariz- ing the advantages of quantum computing in education and suggesting future research directions.

Paulo César Galarza-Sánchez, Alex Fernando Erazo-Luzuriaga, Miguel Fabricio Boné-Andrade

This study explores the integration of quantum computing in the improvement of machine learning algorithms, highlighting its potential to overcome the computational limitations of classical methods in highly complex tasks. Through a systematic literature review with a qualitative approach, academic articles indexed between 2015 and 2023 were analyzed, identifying key advances in variational quantum algorithms, quantum support vector machines, and quantum neural networks. The findings reveal that, despite current technological constraints, these approaches show advantages in efficiency, representativeness and generalizability. Furthermore, the relevance of hybrid quantum-classical models as an intermediate solution is highlighted, by allowing a functional distribution between quantum and classical resources. The research concludes that this convergence represents a promising avenue for the development of advanced artificial intelligence, although challenges such as circuit optimization, noise mitigation and methodological standardization remain. The need to strengthen the technological and theoretical infrastructure to consolidate this line of computational innovation is emphasized.
