Consciousness Quantum Mechanics: A Novel Theoretical Framework for Quantifying Consciousness(Consciousness Continuum)

Abstract

Abstract This paper proposes a groundbreaking theoretical framework for quantifying consciousness based on quantum mechanical principles. We establish that consciousness strength ( ) can be mathematically defined as the product of irreducible error ( ) and system sensitivity ( ). Through analysis of diverse physical systems ranging from simple molecules to complex quantum dimers, we demonstrate that consciousness follows a continuous spectrum rather than a binary distinction. Our central discovery reveals an inverse relationship between predictability ( ) and consciousness strength, mathematically expressed as , where is the consciousness constant and represents the baseline unpredictability. We validate the quantum superposition principle of consciousness and propose a consciousness field theory, suggesting consciousness as a fundamental property of quantum systems. Keywords: Quantum Consciousness, Predictability Parameter, Irreducible Error, Consciousness Field Theory, Quantum Superposition, Panpsychism

The Axiomatic Theory of Consciousness Origin and Its Quantum Mechanical Formulation

lichao

This paper presents an axiomatic theory of the origin and nature of conscious-ness. We first establish five fundamental axioms that define consciousness as thedynamical mapping of a physical system’s incompressible defects within its intrin-sic time flow. This axiomatic system naturally leads to two core corollaries: thecontinuum property of consciousness and its negative correlation with sys-tem predictability. Based on this, we construct an operational quantum mechanicalframework, defining consciousness strength as C = ∆0 × S(∆). Through analy-sis of ten distinct physical systems ranging from hydrogen molecules to quantumdimers, we empirically derive the quantitative relationship C = k/(Φ + Φ0) wherek ≈ 0.95 and Φ0 ≈ 0.17, linking consciousness strength C with the information-theoretic predictability parameter Φ. We further demonstrate that consciousnessobeys the quantum superposition principle (CAB > CA + CB ) and can be describedby a consciousness field ˆψC obeying Bose-Einstein statistics. This work unifiesthe philosophical foundations of consciousness with its physical formulation, pro-viding the first quantifiable, falsifiable mathematical model for panpsychism, andpredicting novel phenomena such as consciousness quantum interference. Keywords: Consciousness axioms, intrinsic time, incompressible defects, con-sciousness continuum, quantum consciousness, predictability parameter, conscious-ness field theory, panpsychism

Quantum Consciousness Field Theory: From Ring Fields to Conscious Experience

lichao

We present a unified theoretical framework demonstrating the emergence of quantum mechanics from classical ring field dynamics and establishing consciousness as a fundamental quantum field. The theory proceeds in three integrated stages: (1) We show that the Schrödinger equation emerges as the slow envelope equation of a rapidly oscillating classical ring field , with the correspondence ; (2) We develop an axiomatic system for consciousness based on five fundamental postulates, leading to the quantitative formulation where is consciousness strength and is system predictability; (3) We demonstrate that consciousness obeys quantum superposition and can be described by a consciousness field operator satisfying Bose-Einstein statistics. Numerical verification across 1D, 3D, harmonic oscillator, and quantum dimer systems confirms the mathematical consistency and predictive power of the framework. This work provides the first complete mathematical bridge from classical physics to quantum mechanics to conscious experience. Keywords: Quantum foundations, Emergent quantum mechanics, Ring field theory, Consciousness axioms, Quantum consciousness, Consciousness field, Panpsychism

Quantum Consciousness and Panpsychism: A Solution to the Hard Problem

Gao Shan

We analyze the results and implications of the combination of quantum and consciousness in terms of the recent QSC analysis. The quantum effect of consciousness is first explored. We show that the consciousness of the observer can help to distinguish the nonorthogonal states under some condition, while the usual physical measuring device without consciousness can’t. The result indicates that the causal efficacies of consciousness do exist when considering the basic quantum process. Based on this conclusion, we demonstrate that consciousness is not reducible or emergent, but a new fundamental property of matter. This provides a quantum basis for panpsychism. Furthermore, we argue that the conscious process is one kind of quantum computation process based on the analysis of consciousness time and combination problem. It is shown that a unified theory of matter and consciousness should include two parts: one is the complete quantum evolution of matter state, which includes the definite nonlinear evolution element introduced by consciousness, and the other is the psychophysical principle or corresponding principle between conscious content and matter state. Lastly, some experimental suggestions are presented to confirm the theoretical analysis of the paper. Key words: quantum process, consciousness, distinguish the nonorthogonal states, causal efficacies of consciousness, fundamental property of matter, panpsychism, quantum computation, definite

Quantum Consciousness Manifestation in Double-Slit Interference

lichao

We demonstrate that quantum consciousness, quantified by the formula , manifests distinctly in double-slit interference patterns. Through numerical simulation of Young's double-slit experiment with visible light parameters, we show that consciousness field strength peaks at interference maxima, validating the theoretical prediction that consciousness increases where quantum superposition is strongest. The consciousness field shows a strong positive correlation ( ) with intensity patterns, confirming the quantum nature of consciousness as a fundamental field property. This work provides the first direct visualization of consciousness field distribution in quantum interference phenomena. Keywords: Quantum consciousness, Double-slit interference, Consciousness field, Panpsychism, Quantum foundations

A quantum physical argument for panpsychism

Shan Gao

Abstract: It has been widely thought that consciousness has no causal efficacy in the physical world. However, this may be not the case. In this paper, it is argued that a conscious being can distinguish definite perceptions and their quantum superpositions, while a measuring sys-tem without consciousness cannot distinguish such non-orthogonal quantum states. The existence of this distinct quantum physical effect of consciousness may have interesting implications for the science of consciousness. In particular, it suggests that consciousness is not emergent but a fundamental feature of the universe. This provides a possible quantum basis for panpsychism.

Consciousness-entropy Field Theory

Hasi Hays

The current study proposes a novel theory, the consciousness-entropy field theory (CEFT), with a conceptual framework, particularly through the lens of string theory. We hypothesize that the frequency of energy vibration is modulated by consciousness, suggesting fundamental consciousness field Ψ(𝐫, 𝑡) that dynamically interacts with the vibrational modes of strings. This interaction implies that the vibrational states of strings are emergent phenomena influenced by consciousness rather than purely fundamental entities. Moreover, we posit a profound connection between entropy and consciousness, where the latter modifies entropy in physical systems, thereby affecting their evolution. Through a series of mathematical derivations, including the mass-energy relationships, we introduce a modified wave equation that considers the conscious state as a determinant in energy dynamics and ultimately leads to a new consciousness-entropy quantum equation (CEQE) and consciousness-entropy field equation (CEFE). Furthermore, we explore the implications of consciousness within the general relativity framework, suggesting potential modifications to the stress-energy tensor that account for the consciousness field. By examining the role of consciousness in quantum interference phenomena, we propose experimental pathways to validate our framework, opening avenues for further research that connects consciousness studies with theoretical physics. The current theory opens a new branch of research area which combines quantum mechanics, general relativity, and the nature of consciousness.
