Scalar Mechanics: The Geometric Origin of the Wavefunction

Abstract

In the framework of Toroidal Scale Dynamics (TSD), fundamental particles are modeled not as point-like excitations, but as topological solitons arising from vibrations in a 5-dimensional toroidal manifold. Building on the geometric interpretations established in previous works, we identify the quantum wavefunction as the amplitude profile of a physical 5D soliton propagating along the scalar dimension (w). We formally derive the Schrödinger equation as the non-relativistic approximation of the manifold's Torsional Vibration equation, where "torsional" refers to twists in the poloidal coordinate induced by the manifold's dual rotations. Furthermore, we solve for the geometric stability limit of these solitons, predicting an Objective Collapse Time for superpositions. Unlike the Penrose-Diósi model, which relies on standard gravitational self-energy, TSD predicts a collapse timescale dependent on the Woodward Constant (W ~ 10^41), offering a distinct mass-scaling signature (t proportional to 1/m) that is falsifiable by current macroscopic superposition experiments.

Emergent Wave Mechanics: Quantum Dynamics as a Projection of Five-Dimensional Null Geodesics

Bahman Masarratbakhsh

Geometric Derivation of Quantum Mechanics from a 5D Time-Delay Manifold This paper introduces the "Time-Delay Field" (TDF) theory, a novel geometric framework that derives the fundamental equations of quantum mechanics from a deterministic five-dimensional spacetime structure. By treating the fifth dimension as an intrinsic "delay" coordinate ($\tau$), we demonstrate that quantum behaviors—such as superposition and interference—are projections of continuous 5D null geodesics onto our 4D reality. Abstract:We present a geometric derivation of quantum mechanics based on the TDF theory. Extending the spacetime manifold to five dimensions ($M_4 \times S^1$), where the fifth dimension $\tau$ represents an intrinsic time delay, we postulate that all fundamental particles travel on null geodesics in the 5D bulk. We demonstrate that the rest mass of a particle arises from its momentum component in the delay dimension, leading to a helical trajectory. The quantum wave function $\psi(x,t)$ is derived not as a probability amplitude, but as the Fourier projection of this 5D trajectory onto the 4D hypersurface. This framework rigorously recovers the Klein-Gordon and Schrödinger equations and provides a deterministic, geometric explanation for quantum interference and wave-particle duality. Furthermore, we address the measurement problem as a momentum transfer in the $\tau$-dimension and discuss consistency with recent experimental observations of symmetry-dependent quantum timing [Guo et al., 2026]. Key Contributions: Derivation of the Schrödinger Equation: Proves that the non-relativistic wave equation emerges naturally from the projection of 5D null paths. Resolution of Wave-Particle Duality: Explains wave-like interference as a topological phase accumulation (Moiré pattern) of helical trajectories. Objective Collapse Mechanism: Defines "measurement" as a momentum transfer in the delay dimension, eliminating the need for an observer. Mass-Dependent Decoherence: Introduces the "Quantumness Factor" ($\mathcal{Q}$), predicting an intrinsic transition from quantum to classical behavior for macroscopic masses. Experimental Alignment: Consistent with recent findings on geometry-dependent time delays in attosecond physics. Keywords: Quantum Foundations, Time-Delay Field, 5D Spacetime, Null Geodesics, Kaluza-Klein Theory, Measurement Problem, Emergent Quantum Mechanics, Geometric Phase.

The Geometric Origin of Atomic Structure: Deriving Quantum Numbers from Toroidal Winding Modes

Vance Ashley Woodward

This paper provides a geometric derivation of the atomic wavefunction and the shape of electron orbitals. We propose that the s, p, d, and f orbitals are not probabilistic charge clouds, but the stereographic projections of deterministic standing waves vibrating on a 5-dimensional toroidal manifold. We demonstrate via computational simulation that the standard "Quantum Numbers" (n, l, m) correspond directly to topological Winding Numbers on the torus. By modulating the major radius of the torus by harmonic integers, we reproduce the exact topology of the sphere (s-orbital), dumbbell (p-orbital), and cloverleaf (d-orbital). This work reinterprets quantum nodes as regions of "Dimensional Transmutation," identifying the physical origin of inertial mass as motion rotated into the scalar dimension.

Deriving Quantum Mechanics from Topological Solitons on S³ — Angular World Architecture (Quantum Sector)

Samir Senouci

Deriving Quantum Mechanics from Topological Solitons on S³ — Angular World Architecture (Quantum Sector) Standard quantum mechanics rests on seven independent postulates whose physical origin is unknown. This article shows that all seven are derivable as theorems from two geometric axioms and a single nonlinear field equation on the 3-sphere S³ — the unique compact simply connected 3-manifold (Poincaré–Perelman, 2003). The construction is minimal. Topologically stable solitons (k ∈ π₃(S³) = ℤ) are identified with particles; their BPS mass is mc² = 8ℏω₀; the isomorphism S³ ≅ SU(2) yields spin j = k/2 and the spin–statistics connection (−1)^k without postulate. Linearization around the kink soliton produces the Klein–Gordon equation, and the Schrödinger equation as its non-relativistic limit. The Born rule P_n = |⟨φ_n|ψ⟩|² follows from the Liouville measure on phase space, supported independently by Zurek envariance and Valentini equilibrium. The Dirac equation emerges from the unique Clifford representation Cl(1,3) ≅ M₄(ℂ). The proton-to-electron mass ratio m_p/m_e = 1836.87 (CODATA: 1836.153, 0.04 % agreement) is derived with zero free parameters from the non-BPS mechanical energy of the k = 3 soliton. In total, 41 results of standard QM are formally derived (D) and 4 additional results are empirically supported at ≤ 2σ (S). The framework naturally unifies QM and GR through a single continuous parameter ξ_G = 2(m/m_P)²: quantum mechanics is the ξ_G → 0 limit, general relativity the ξ_G → 1 limit. Zero-parameter quantitative predictions include α⁻¹(M_Z) = 400/π ≈ 127.3 (measured 127.9; 0.5 %), m_p/m_e = 1836.87 (0.04 %), resolution of the Hubble tension at 0.03σ, and Ω_Λ = (π−1)/π ≈ 0.682 (Planck 0.689; 0.5σ). Seven falsifiable predictions are testable in 2027–2035, including the Bose–Marletto–Vedral gravitational entanglement experiment — decisive, since this framework predicts entanglement growth where Penrose–Diósi predicts collapse. Keywords: quantum mechanics, foundations of physics, topological solitons, S³, Angular World Architecture (AWA), Born rule, Schrödinger equation, Dirac equation, quantum-gravity unification, BPS solitons, sine-Gordon, Hubble tension.

Geometric Resolution of the Quantum Measurement Problem:\\ Wavefunction Collapse as a Quantitative Topological Phase Transition via Gravitational Spin Reduction

Dimitrios Ropokis

The quantum measurement problem requires a dynamical mechanism to explain the transition from a linear superposition of states to a single definite eigenstate. In this monograph, we present a quantitative geometric resolution by explicitly deriving the Penrose Objective Reduction (OR) hypothesis from the fundamental, microscopic dynamics of Topological Quantum Chromodynamics (Topological QCD). Rather than treating OR as a phenomenological postulate, we model the wavefunction $\Psi$ as a literal topological superposition within the Gravitational Spin Polarization Tensor $\Pi_{ab}$. We demonstrate that a superposition of macroscopically distinct mass states injects localized scalar curvature $R$. By proposing that the exact Lichnerowicz identity bounds the spectral gap proportionally to the gravitational self-energy $\Delta E_G$, we formulate a compelling candidate mechanism for wavefunction collapse at the time scale $\tau = \hbar / \Delta E_G$. Thus, our framework grounds Penrose's model in a fundamental, non-linear spin-network ontology.

TOPOLOGICAL REPRESENTATION COLLAPSE VS. GRAVITY-INDUCED DECOHERENCE

Michael I Aksman

The physical mechanism underlying quantum wave-function collapse remains a central problem in foundational physics. Objective collapse theories, notably the Penrose-Diósi (DP) model, propose that macroscopic superposition is destroyed by gravitational self-energy (∆EG), predicting that collapse scales strictly with mass.We propose an entirely distinct physical mechanism: Topological Representation Collapse.Within the Deterministic Spectral Manifold (DSM-861) framework, wave-function collapse istriggered not by static gravity, but by dynamic enstrophy strain exceeding a specific topologicalmelting threshold (Em ≈ 695.74 eV). This establishes a falsifiable experimental demarcationline in the mesoscopic regime. We demonstrate that highly strained, rapidly rotating, or topologically complex mesoscopic systems (such as driven nanomechanical rotors or rapidly foldingproteins) will undergo spontaneous decoherence significantly faster than predicted by gravityinduced models, while perfectly rigid macroscopic masses may maintain coherence longer.

TOPOLOGICAL REPRESENTATION COLLAPSE vs. Gravity-Induced Decoherence

Michael I Aksman

The physical mechanism underlying quantum wave-function collapse remains a centralproblem in foundational physics. Objective collapse theories, notably the Penrose-Diósi(DP) model, propose that macroscopic superposition is destroyed by gravitational self-energy∆EG, predicting that collapse time τD = ℏ/∆EG scales strictly with mass. Recent experimental bounds from underground generalized acceleration experiments (AURIGA, Helouet al. 2017) have severely constrained the DP parameter space. We propose an entirelydistinct, falsifiable mechanism: Topological Representation Collapse. Within the DSM-861framework, wave-function collapse is triggered not by static gravity but by dynamic enstrophy strain exceeding the topological melting threshold Em = 695.74 eV. This establishes afalsifiable experimental demarcation line in the mesoscopic regime. We demonstrate fourspecific signatures: (1) Topology vs. Mass—decoherence depends on vorticity, not mass; (2)The Rotor Anomaly—a driven nanomechanical rotor will decohere faster than DP predictswhen rotational energy approaches 695.74 eV; (3) Protein Folding Dynamics—intrinsicallydisordered proteins generate enstrophy gradients that trigger a hard decoherence cutoff; (4)Rigid Mass Coherence—a perfectly rigid, non-rotating mass maintains coherence longer thanDP allows. All four predictions are falsifiable with next-generation mesoscopic superpositionexperiments.
