We propose a stochastic modification of nonrelativistic quantum dynamics in which state-vector reduction is triggered by a gravitational distinguishability functional, identified here as the weak-field limit of the Torsion scalar in Einstein’s Teleparallel Equivalent of General Relativity (TEGR). By grounding the collapse mechanism in spacetime torsion rather than curvature, we resolve the fundamental ambiguity of gravitational energy localization found in standard General Relativity. The model is designed so that individual experimental runs admit nonlinear, finite-time localization dynamics driven by accumulated torsion distinguishability, while the ensemble state admits a linear evolution compatible with a no-signaling constraint. Two empirical parameters are introduced: a record-capacity scale S∗ (representing a critical torsion threshold) and a spatial resolution scale rc. We summarize the dynamical postulates, clarify their domain of validity, and outline falsifiable signatures in high-mass matter-wave interferometry, establishing this framework as a consistent low-energy limit of a torsion-based relativistic collapse theory.
This work proposes the Collapse Clock Hypothesis, a framework in which physical time is defined by the rate of irreversible wavefunction collapse, interpreted as a process of information pruning constrained by finite informational capacity. Within this framework, spatial variations in collapse rate give rise to differential progression of proper time, providing a potential mechanism for gravitational time dilation and related phenomena. The approach integrates concepts from quantum information theory, thermodynamics, and emergent spacetime, drawing connections to prior work on entanglement entropy, holographic bounds, and thermodynamic derivations of gravitational dynamics. A computational implementation using a Score-Driven Kinetic Ising Model (SDKIM) is presented to explore whether the proposed causal chain—mass → interactions → entanglement → collapse suppression → slower time—can arise dynamically in a simplified lattice system. The simulations demonstrate robust qualitative behavior consistent with collapse-rate suppression in highly entangled regions, while also highlighting important limitations, including the use of mean-field approximations and the absence of a direct quantitative mapping to known gravitational field equations. This work is intended as a speculative but testable framework rather than a complete theory. Several falsifiable predictions are outlined, including potential signatures in precision timekeeping, quantum-coherent systems, gravitational wave phase evolution, and cosmological observables. These predictions are presented at an order-of-magnitude level and require further development for direct comparison with experimental data. The goal of this work is to explore whether irreversible information dynamics may provide a unifying underlying mechanism for time, gravity, and cosmological evolution, and to motivate further investigation into collapse-based approaches to fundamental physics.
TITLE:Gravitational Activation from Accumulated Decoherence: A PhenomenologicalFramework with Testable Predictions We present a phenomenological framework in which classical gravitationalsourcing emerges from irreversibly accumulated decoherence. The centralvariable is the accumulated decoherence parameter D, constructed as amonotone, partition-dependent functional of purity loss underGorini-Kossakowski-Lindblad-Sudarshan (GKLS) open-system dynamics. The framework introduces a critical distinction between gravitationalresponse and gravitational activation. All quantum systems — includingcoherent superpositions — respond universally to existing gravitationalfields, preserving the weak equivalence principle. However, the capacityto source a classical gravitational field is conditioned on accumulateddecoherence: only systems with sufficient D contribute to the gravitationalpotential. This directed structure resolves conceptual tensions betweenquantum coherence and classical geometry without modifying unitary dynamicsor the Schrodinger equation. Gravitational activation is modelled via a Hill-function sigmoid mapping Dto an effective sourcing fraction, controlled by two phenomenologicalparameters: a characteristic decoherence scale D* and a sharpness exponentn. An optional nonlinear feedback mechanism (the Bootstrap Closure) couplesgravitational activation back into the decoherence rate, producing a sharpcrossover — the Quantum Curie Point — at which the system transitionsrapidly from negligible to full gravitational sourcing. We provide numerical estimates of D for five candidate experimental systemsspanning 60 orders of magnitude in mass, from isolated electrons to LIGOtest masses and cosmological horizons. All estimates yield physicallysensible results: coherent laboratory systems show negligible activation, while macroscopic classical objects are deeply in the fully activated regime. Three classes of testable predictions are identified: (1) a mesoscopicpressure-sweep protocol for levitated nanoparticles in which gravitationalsourcing is predicted to exhibit a pressure-dependent suppression below acritical vacuum threshold; (2) constraints on the framework parameters fromBig Bang nucleosynthesis helium abundance, requiring gravitational couplingto be within 20% of Newton’s constant by t ~ 1 second; and (3) potentialmodifications to compact object formation if the activation timescaleexceeds the dynamical collapse timescale. The framework is phenomenologically closed, empirically constrainable, and falsifiable through existing and near-future experimental platformsin mesoscopic optomechanics and matter-wave interferometry. We propose that gravitational-wave distinguishability provides a universal, information-theoretic mechanism for decoherence in quantum superpositions involving massive systems. When alternative quantum histories imprint distinguishable gravitational radiation states into spacetime, which-branch information exists in principle even in the absence of measurement. This suppresses interference purely through unitary entanglement with the gravitational field. Unlike collapse models, this framework relies only on standard quantum mechanics and the information-carrying capacity of gravitational radiation. We argue heuristically that the Planck mass emerges as an information-theoretic crossover scale beyond which gravitationally induced decoherence becomes unavoidable. To clarify the conceptual content, we introduce a Schrödinger’s-cat–type thought experiment in which one branch of a quantum superposition produces colliding black holes and gravitational waves, while the other does not. In this limit case, spacetime itself functions as an irreversible which-branch environment. The analysis positions gravity not as a modifier of quantum mechanics, but as a universal information channel contributing to the quantum–classical transition.

This paper proposes a new operational paradigm for gravity grounded in measurement, record formation, and reference stability. Observation is defined as recording: the stabilization of correlations into revisitable reference states, independent of human perception. On this basis, the paper introduces (i) the awareness tensor, the record-bearing correlation architecture of an observer-system, and (ii) the scalar clock, a local tick-field that can exist in selector-state regimes and becomes classical through clock-locking. The paper advances the Trinity principle, in which time, space, and energy are treated as complementary faces of a unified coherent state. Classical regimes arise through Trinity throttling, where one face is stabilized as the dominant reference channel while the others remain comparatively latent, producing a continuum of mixed observational modes. The keystone identification is that gravity is time decoherence: gravitational behavior is the macroscopic signature of time-selection as systems enter and couple into dominant mass time-zones under coupling gradients. An interpretive extension maps electromagnetic, weak, and strong interactions as channel-specific mismatch-relaxation processes within the same selection architecture (presented as programmatic rather than a full Standard Model derivation). The paper concludes with candidate distinguishing signatures and test avenues framed in the framework’s primitives: time mismatch, coupling gradients, clock-locking depth, and throttling regime.
