Gravity as Time Decoherence The Scalar Clock, Awareness Tensor, and Trinity Throttling

Abstract

This paper proposes a new operational paradigm for gravity grounded in measurement, record formation, and reference stability. Observation is defined as recording: the stabilization of correlations into revisitable reference states, independent of human perception. On this basis, the paper introduces (i) the awareness tensor, the record-bearing correlation architecture of an observer-system, and (ii) the scalar clock, a local tick-field that can exist in selector-state regimes and becomes classical through clock-locking. The paper advances the Trinity principle, in which time, space, and energy are treated as complementary faces of a unified coherent state. Classical regimes arise through Trinity throttling, where one face is stabilized as the dominant reference channel while the others remain comparatively latent, producing a continuum of mixed observational modes. The keystone identification is that gravity is time decoherence: gravitational behavior is the macroscopic signature of time-selection as systems enter and couple into dominant mass time-zones under coupling gradients. An interpretive extension maps electromagnetic, weak, and strong interactions as channel-specific mismatch-relaxation processes within the same selection architecture (presented as programmatic rather than a full Standard Model derivation). The paper concludes with candidate distinguishing signatures and test avenues framed in the framework’s primitives: time mismatch, coupling gradients, clock-locking depth, and throttling regime. Scalar Clocks, Awareness Tensors, and Gravity as Time Decoherence: Three Testable Predictions for Record-Sensitive Geometry

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

This manuscript develops three concrete, falsifiable predictions based on a framework in which time and space are operationally equivalent, and classical reality is understood as the record. In this scalar-clock / awareness-tensor / Trinity picture, an observation is any physical process that stabilizes correlations into durable, revisitable records, and gravity is interpreted as time decoherence: clock-locking and time selection into dominant mass time-zones. The paper introduces three phenomenological parameters that are exactly zero in standard GR+QM: (i) ϵ\epsilonϵ, the sensitivity of co-located clock rates to engineered decoherence and monitoring strength; (ii) η\etaη, the sensitivity of effective gravitational acceleration to record-export structure at fixed mass distribution; and (iii) a scalar time-mismatch scale ΔT∗\Delta T_\astΔT∗, beyond which interference visibility near a mass exhibits a protocol-dependent threshold. These parameters are tied to operational proxies: clock-locking depth, time mismatch, and coupling gradients. From this framework, three testable predictions follow: Entanglement-dependent time dilation: Two identical, co-located precision clocks in the same gravitational potential but in different record-coupling regimes (high vs. low monitoring and decoherence) should exhibit a small, persistent differential drift that tracks clock-locking depth, not altitude or velocity. Gravity modulation by engineered decoherence: In a torsion balance, atom interferometer, or precision gravimeter, the measured acceleration toward a test mass should differ slightly between “decoherence OFF” and “decoherence ON” conditions, even when the mass distribution and EM fields are unchanged. The key signature is a protocol-locked Δg\Delta gΔg that appears only when scattered quanta are recorded, not when the same fields are present but their outputs are dumped locally. Entanglement horizon near mass: In a matter-wave interferometer, as one arm approaches a mass (or as the mass is increased), interference visibility should drop at a characteristic threshold set by scalar-clock mismatch and record structure. This defines an “entanglement horizon” in time-mismatch space, distinct from smooth environmental decoherence. For each effect, the paper defines explicit null hypotheses, identifies leading systematics, and sketches minimal experimental protocols compatible with current or near-term optical clocks, gravimetry, and matter-wave interferometry platforms. A brief CPT-compatibility analysis clarifies that microscopic dynamics remain CPT-symmetric in the usual QFT sense; any asymmetries arise only at the coarse-grained level of record formation and clock-locking. The proposals can therefore be read either as parameterized extensions of GR+QM using measurement architecture as an additional knob, or as an operational test of a broader “gravity as time decoherence” interpretation in which geometry becomes explicitly record-sensitive. This Version 2 is a revised and expanded update of the original upload, adding a phenomenology-first summary, clarifying the roles of the parameters (ϵ,η,ΔT∗)(\epsilon,\eta,\Delta T_\ast)(ϵ,η,ΔT∗), and situating the framework more explicitly relative to existing work on gravity-related decoherence, hybrid classical–quantum gravity, and clock/interferometry proposals (Diósi–Penrose, Bassi, Anastopoulos–Hu, Oppenheim, Zych–Costa–Pikovski–Brukner, Bose et al.). The updated version explicitly restricts the criterion to record-sensitive effects, rather than any effect. It explicitly spells out what “record formation on/off” means in practice: detectors and logging are turned on/off while the physical fields are held fixed, i.e., outputs are either stored or not stored. This version tightens falsifiability and lab usability. It (i) commits to explicit benchmark model families for the three predictions, each reducing to standard physics when ϵ=η=κ=0\epsilon=\eta=\kappa=0ϵ=η=κ=0; (ii) defines an unambiguous export-axis variable via the exported mutual-information rate I˙XR\dot I_{XR}I˙XR and export depth E\mathcal{E}E, enabling cross-platform comparisons; (iii) adds a fully worked, platform-specific optical lattice clock pilot (C1 vs C2 export-only toggle) including invariance audits, confound/error budgeting, preregistered power/discriminability analysis, and an end-to-end analysis pipeline; and (iv) upgrades mandatory reporting/preregistration templates so null results produce publishable bounds on (ϵ,η,κ)(\epsilon,\eta,\kappa)(ϵ,η,κ).

Time–Decoherence Gravity (TDG): A Unified Framework

Duchesne, Jonathan

Contact Jonathan.duchesne@hotmail.com 418-953-0596 This thesis presents Time–Decoherence Gravity (TDG), a unified theoretical framework in which spacetime geometry, gravitation, and the physical flow of time arise from fundamental quantum decoherence. Rather than treating decoherence as an environmental or effective process, TDG builds on a covariant extension of the Gorini–Kossakowski–Sudarshan–Lindblad (GKSL) equation, where four directional Lindblad operators encode intrinsic, irreversible information loss. These operators define a “decoherence tensor,” which acts both as a memory of quantum irreversibility and as the generator of emergent spacetime geometry through a nonlinear constitutive relation. The theory provides a coherent gravitational collapse mechanism based on the incompatibility of decoherence patterns across quantum branches. This leads to an intrinsic “decoherence energy,” whose magnitude determines the collapse timescale, extending and generalizing the well-known Penrose–Diósi models. TDG predicts a smooth transition from persistent microscopic coherence to rapid macroscopic collapse. At cosmological scales, a homogeneous decoherence tensor naturally generates modified Friedmann dynamics, early-universe stiff-fluid behavior, and late-time acceleration without requiring a fine-tuned cosmological constant. Black-hole entropy emerges as a saturation of decoherence memory at the horizon, while Hawking radiation appears as the dissipative relaxation of this saturation. The theory also predicts short-range deviations from Newtonian gravity and a universal spectrum of fundamental gravitational noise. Finally, TDG offers several experimentally testable signatures involving optical clocks, mesoscopic interferometry, short-range force measurements, and correlated phase noise in global timing networks. The framework is internally consistent, falsifiable, and provides a novel and unified approach to the relationship between quantum mechanics, gravity, and the arrow of time.

Time–Decoherence Gravity (TDG): A Unified Framework

Duchesne, Jonathan

Contact: Jonathan.duchesne@hotmail.com FinalTDG: Full Mathematical proposition. AddTDG22: Natural Add-ons TDGStressTest: Stress Test results TDGEX: Experimental Protocol TDGpaper: Abstract Temporal Decoherence Geometry (TDG) is a conservative theoretical framework that systematically explores a possible connection between quantum decoherence, weak-field gravity, and an emergent notion of time, while remaining strictly within a GKSL (Lindblad) open quantum dynamics, i.e. Markovian and completely positive, with no ad hoc collapse mechanism. The central idea of TDG is to take seriously the structure of decoherence of an open quantum system and promote it to an effective geometric object: a decoherence tensor Gamma_{mu nu}, constructed from a Lindblad generator, is introduced as the primary source of a weak-field gravitational potential and an emergent time defined from local decoherence rates. The framework is deliberately minimalist in its assumptions: weak-field regime, standard quantum mechanics (no modification of the Schrödinger equation or the GKSL structure), no exotic measurement postulates. This new “DOI version” collects and organises the following elements: A mathematical core in which Gamma_{mu nu} is derived from a GKSL generator (Lindbladian), a gradient-flow–type evolution drives Gamma_{mu nu} towards a quantity proportional to the usual energy-momentum tensor T_{mu nu}, an emergent time scalar T(x) is defined from the local decoherence rate lambda(x), under explicit integrability conditions, an effective weak-field gravitational potential Phi_TDG is associated with this decoherence structure. The analysis of static, spherically symmetric compact configurations, obtained from a simple “decoherence-energy” functional E[gamma], which: have a regular, non-singular core, exhibit a Yukawa-type tail, reproduce a Newtonian / Schwarzschild-like exterior over a given radial interval, while avoiding central singularities. A phenomenological layer in which TDG induces decoherence-dependent corrections to gravitational redshift, encoded in an effective parameter epsilon_TDG. This parameter is, in principle, falsifiable with state-of-the-art optical clocks, providing a clear experimental handle: TDG is not only a formal construction, but a framework that can be constrained or ruled out by precision redshift measurements. A key feature of this revised version is the inclusion of a set of analytical stress tests explicitly designed to challenge the model within the regime it claims to describe (weak-field, GKSL, Markovian): regular-core compact configurations, extreme parameter limits (diffusion, screening length scales, etc.), dynamical behaviour of the decoherence tensor, analysis of the absence of finite-time collapse in the GKSL setting. These stress tests show that, under the stated assumptions and within the weak-field regime, the TDG framework remains regular, well-posed, and consistent with its own domain of validity. The Zenodo deposit therefore gathers both a main TDG manuscript (model structure + weak-field applications) and a technical stress-test note, enabling readers to assess not only the construction itself, but also its internal robustness and phenomenological viability. This deposit is intended to serve as a stable reference for the current version of TDG: it provides the complete description of the framework together with the technical ingredients needed to evaluate its mathematical consistency, its compatibility with weak-field gravity, and its falsifiability through decoherence-sensitive redshift tests with optical clocks.

A Single Time Gradient Mechanism, for Inertia, Gravitation, Electromagnetism, Relativity, Cosmology, and Quantum Recovery.

yaniv riz

Physics is written in mathematics, and at the base of mathematics lies distinction: yes or no, identical or different, one or zero. A bit is the minimal written form of such a distinction. Physics can therefore measure only what can become distinguishable. What cannot be distinguished cannot yet appear as a physical record. From distinguishability comes information; from the registration of information comes physical time. Unified informational Theory (UiT) presents a unified physical framework in which time, mass, force, thermodynamic directionality, electromagnetic coupling, nuclear structure, and horizon physics are expressed through one informational registration mechanism: closed phase becoming physical record. The central object is a closed-light phase carrier: a closed photon-like phase structure carrying informational increments of ℏ, rotating on a complex phase surface at the Compton frequency, with a Planck-scale phase radius. It is not treated as a point mechanically moving through ordinary three-dimensional space. Before measurement, its structure exists in the complex phase domain as physical distinguishability: real, active, and capable of producing measurable effects, but not yet written as an ordinary 3+1 record such as position, trajectory, detector event, clock reading, or linear-time history. Measurement is the operation that projects and registers part of this complex phase structure into ordinary record-space, using energy and carrying a thermodynamic cost. In UiT, linear physical time is the ordered registration of physical change into record. A record may be a clock reading, track, pointer state, detector click, environmental correlation, thermodynamic trace, or any stable physical mark. Time is not a passive background parameter. It is the informational order produced when phase structure becomes registered reality. The same principle also defines force. All forces are gradients of one underlying registration object, read under different load conditions, geometries, and coupling branches. A force appears where an invariant closed phase carrier is placed in a field whose time-registration rate varies across record-space. The carrier cannot change its own invariant Compton phase throughput, so the mismatch between invariant internal phase and local registration capacity becomes a physical force. Inertia and gravity are therefore not separate mysteries at the deepest level: both are responses of the same closed phase throughput to different ways of limiting temporal registration. Special relativity arises when recorded motion consumes part of the available registration bandwidth. Motion requires information about position and change of position, and this cost enters quadratically. The carrier phase itself never stops moving; what changes is how much of its invariant phase throughput can be written as linear time rather than as recorded motion. Lorentz time dilation is therefore read as a registration-budget partition: motion spends part of the time-writing capacity. Gravity arises from the same Compton throughput read radially. A mass is not merely an object placed inside space. It is closed-light Compton sampling of a Planck registration-stiffness update. Around it, record-space has reduced capacity to write distinguishable temporal information. Less capacity remains for writing time, and the radial gradient of that capacity is read as gravity. In this view, space is not a rubber sheet that literally bends. Space is the local capacity to register distinguishable physical alternatives. Changing the time-registration capacity also changes the spatial registration structure, so the same geodesics are obtained, but their ontology changes: curvature is the metric bookkeeping of variable registration capacity. This same capacity logic leads directly to thermodynamics and entropy. Entropy counts the available or dispersed ways in which distinctions can be written, stabilized, erased, hidden, or made inaccessible. Thermodynamic directionality is not added from outside. It is the cost and irreversibility of registering physical distinction into stable record. Horizon entropy is the saturated boundary count of the same closed phase surface: the point where ordinary exterior registration reaches its limiting boundary. Electromagnetism is read as a phase-connection branch of the same object. Charge is not introduced as an unrelated primitive substance, but as a coupling orientation of phase registration. Electric and magnetic effects are different record-space readouts of this phase connection under different motion and registration conditions. The weak sector gives UiT its primary empirical handle. Radioactive decay is treated as a finite identity-rewrite process. In order for a decay path to be environmentally perturbable, the environment must couple to degrees of freedom required for reverse daughter-to-parent reconstruction. This requires local reverse temporal registration: a limited branch in which identity is locally unwritten and rewritten. From this postulate, UiT produces a taxonomy of radioactive-decay perturbability, functioning like a periodic table of decay influence. The table does not merely classify known decays by name; it identifies which decay channels can be perturbed and why, according to the informational variables required by the reverse reconstruction path. The strong sector is expressed through closed multi-carrier phase geometry. Three phase carriers form a zero-sum closure in the complex plane. What appears outwardly as fractional charge is a projection of a deeper internal closure: one-third is externally read, while two-thirds remain internally locked within the phase structure. This gives a geometric and numerical account of fractional charge weights, confinement architecture, and the Cornell-potential structure, while leaving full QCD dynamics and detailed coefficients as completion targets. UiT is not presented as a theory of everything, and it does not discard established physics. It proposes a deeper informational primitive from which quantum phase, relativistic time, gravitational distortion, thermodynamic irreversibility, electromagnetic coupling, weak decay, strong closure, and horizon counting arise as different expressions of one closed phase-registration object. The empirical content is twofold. The primary tested layer is the weak-sector perturbability table, which organizes radioactive decay channels according to the informational degrees of freedom required for reverse daughter-to-parent reconstruction. A second prospective discriminant predicts photon arrival-time delay with no linear Planck-energy term and leading quadratic Planck suppression. The compact unification principle is this: physical law is the geometry of informational registration. Time is the written order of phase registration; mass is closed-light Compton throughput; force is the gradient of registration mismatch; entropy is the count and cost of distinguishable writing; and the apparent separation between relativity, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, nuclear structure, and horizon physics reflects different readout conditions of the same underlying closed phase surface.

Selector Geometry, Awareness Basins, and Lightcone-Structured Coherence: A Speculative Extension of the Scalar Clock Framework

EUGENE CATRAMBONE

This speculative addendum to the Scalar Clock and Awareness Tensor framework introduces several new conceptual structures intended to deepen the geometric interpretation of quantum mechanics and consciousness. The paper formalizes selector-states as lightcone-structured manifolds of coherent possibilities and reframes entanglement as “type-2 coherence,” where multiple worldlines merge into a shared selector-geometry. Decoherence is treated as an awareness event governed by basin-specific Scalar Clock dynamics. A key development is the notion of awareness basins—regions with distinct τ-profiles and decoherence thresholds—allowing collapse to appear in non-human basins while remaining coherent relative to the human frame. The theory implies an observer-dependent classicality analogous to, but stronger than, relational quantum mechanics. These ideas are unproven and presented in the spirit of Penrose, Rovelli, Mermin, and speculative decoherence models, to provide a consistent geometric ontology worth timestamping for future comparison and refinement. v2. The quantum and the gravity: Newtonian and Cosmological applications

Natacha Altamirano

The gravitational decoherence field studies the suppression of coherence in quantum systems caused by effects rooted in the gravitational interaction. This models are not just important to yield interesting ideas about the search, in regimes others than the Planck scale, for the interplay between quantum mechanics and general relativity, but also from a theoretical point of view. The fact that the gravitational field can not be shielded opens the question of how strong will the gravitational ‘environment’ decohere a quantum system? and if this decoherence can somehow explain the absence of macroscopical super- positions? This thesis studies in depth the ‘Classical Channel Gravity’ (CCG) model, a recent proposal of gravitational decoherence that assumes that the gravitational interac- tion is always accompanied with an intrinsic decoherence mechanism which ensures that there is no transmission of quantum information between the parties involved. This model can be understood a series of weak continuous quantum measurements accompanied with a feedback term produced by some underlying hidden gravitational degrees of freedom. We first study all the possible emergent dynamics from collisional Markovian dynamics; these ones range from exact unitary to arbitrary fast decoherence (Zeno effect). The second part of the thesis is devoted to study the Newtonian and post Newtonian limits of the CCG model, with particular focus on the testability features of CCG. In particular, we apply this model to coupled clocks and find that the amount of decoherence predicted by CCG is the same as the decoherence that an ‘environment of clocks’ will imprint in a single clock in the context of unitary evolution. On the other hand, we find that this effect is far from being detectable with the current achieved time accuracy. However, CCG as a model for multi partite systems and two systems with very different masses seems to yield an amount of decoherence that is not only able to be detectable with current experiments but also seems to indicate that this model is ruled out. Nevertheless, we also mention potential caveats with our assumptions and discuss other physically motivated directions to further study this result. Finally, we also explore the extension of CCG for the cosmological scenario. In this context the scale factor is being decohered by test particles ‘sitting’ on spacetime. We find that this decoherence will be seen by an observer unaware of the CCG fundamental mechanism as an emergent form of dark energy filling the universe.

These ideas are unproven and presented in the spirit of Penrose, Rovelli, Mermin, and speculative decoherence models, to provide a consistent geometric ontology worth timestamping for future comparison and refinement. v2.
