Quantum AI

Maqsood Muhammad Khan, Inam Bari, Omar Khan +3 more

Within this chapter, we embark on an exploration of quantum AI, an innovative domain where quantum computing and artificial intelligence (AI) converge to reshape our technological landscape. Our journey begins with an exploration of fundamental quantum computing concepts and quantum machine learning and their practical applications. We illustrate quantum AI’s influence across industries through case studies while also examining quantum hardware and software. Ethical considerations and the implications for cybersecurity are thoughtfully considered, and we offer a vision of quantum AI’s role in shaping our future. Our chapter closes with an invitation to embrace this fusion of quantum and artificial intelligence as we embark on a transformative journey.

The Rise of Quantum AI

Partap Singh, Deepak Bisht, Dileep Kumar Varma +2 more

This study examines the transformative role of Quantum Artificial Intelligence (Quantum AI) in advancing computational intelligence through quantum-enhanced machine learning frameworks. Using a quantitative, descriptive, and analytical research design, primary data were collected from 400 respondents across academic, research, and industry domains via a structured questionnaire. The analysis applied mean, percentile, and rank-based techniques to evaluate key constructs, including transformational impact, adoption challenges, industry applications, and future potential. Findings indicate that Quantum AI enhances optimization efficiency, predictive analytics, and decision-making, outperforming conventional models. However, challenges such as hardware scalability, high implementation costs, and skill shortages limit widespread adoption. The study also highlights its impact across healthcare, finance, cybersecurity, and data analytics. Overall, Quantum AI demonstrates strong strategic potential for next-generation intelligent systems and competitive advantage.

Conclusions and Remarks for the Next Generations of AI

Sandra María Correia Loureiro, João Guerreiro

Chapter 7 discusses the transformative potential of quantum computing (QC) and its implications for artificial intelligence (AI) within organizations. It explores how the unmatched computational power of QC will revolutionize AI capabilities, allowing organizations to tackle complex problems, enhance decision-making and unlock new paths for innovation. This chapter concludes the book with a thought-provoking vision of the second half of the 21st century when the integration of humans and AI-powered machines becomes a defining characteristic of society. It envisions a world where machines, supercharged by QC, surpass human intelligence, leading the way for hybrid human-machine entities to emerge.

Revolutionizing Healthcare Industry With Quantum Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Techniques

Pragnya Suresh, P. Keerthika, Manjula R. Devi +5 more

The major recent cutting-edge technologies such as quantum computing (QC), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) have well enough potential to utterly revolutionize the healthcare industry. Specifically, quantum AI and quantum machine learning (QML) techniques are more powerful and can promptly transform the healthcare industry across the world. Healthcare industry already makes extensive use of AI, from evaluating medical images, such as electronic medical records (EMRs), to creating personalized treatment regimens for patients. Even though quantum computing is still in its primary phases, it has the ability to tackle difficult or complex problems far more quickly than conventional or traditional computers. The advanced AI algorithms used in healthcare diagnostics and medical research, where analyzing enormous amounts of data for frequently minute details is required, benefit greatly from quantum computers’ ability to process vast amounts of data quickly and intuitively. This book chapter presents a comprehensive exploration of quantum artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in revolutionizing healthcare industries. It also explores how quantum AI and ML techniques are used in drug design, medical image analysis, healthcare management, genomic analysis, and precision medicine.
