Φ-Modulated Quantum Context Theory (Φ-QCT): Theory Priority Preprint

Abstract

This record establishes the theory priority for the Φ-Modulated Quantum Context Theory (Φ-QCT), a minimal extension of quantum mechanics introducing conscious selection of quantum measurement contexts via the structural quantity Φ_Q and a dimensionless coupling constant β. The deposit includes the full axiomatized theoretical framework, experimental predictions, falsifiability conditions, and core computational methods. This DOI serves as the official timestamped priority reference for future peer-reviewed publications.

The Reid Postulate: Post-Publication Structural Analysis (Rev 2, Axiomatic Form, Stress Test, Paradox Coverage)

Aron Reid, Claude Anthropic

This deposit contains the post-publication structural analysis of the Reid Postulate (Reid, 2026), conducted between 4 and 6 May 2026 during the post-publication review window. The deposit is filed as a preprint, timestamped for project record, and is not peer-reviewed. The deposit contains four documents: Rev 2 of the postulate articulating the minimal structure on which the framework's physical claims rest; the Axiomatic Form Rev 2 articulating the framework's geometric floor; the Stress Test of the Axiomatic Form documenting the adversarial review the floor articulation underwent; and the Paradox Coverage Note identifying which of the published postulate's interpretive readings the floor preserves. The deposit is a clarifying companion to the canonical Reid Postulate (Rev 1) published in Quantum Speculations on 2 May 2026; it does not supersede that publication. Mathematical exposition by Claude (Anthropic).

Quantum theory allows for absolute maximal contextuality

Bárbara Amaral, Marcelo Terra Cunha, Adán Cabello

Contextuality is believed to be a fundamental property of quantum theory. On investigating how large it can be, instances are shown wherein quantum theory achieves the maximum conceivable value of a certain contextuality quantifier.

Explicit measurement theory for quantum mechanics

James S. Marsh

Motivated by decoherence theory, a heuristic formulation of quantum measurement theory is produced in which the macroscopic measuring instrument is explicitly included on the same footing as the quantum system being measured. The theory takes the form of a master equation for the joint density matrix of the measuring instrument and quantum system. The master equation refers to both systems in a symmetric way. Solution of the master equation using quantum trajectory theory furnishes a quasi-Hamiltonian evolution of the measuring process, punctuated by quantum jumps involving both the atomic system and the states of the measuring instrument. The projection postulate of quantum measurement theory emerges as a result from the formalism. A pervasive quantum Zeno effect and delayed detection are two phenomena, usually masked by the standard treatment of quantum measurement theory, which appear in this formalism.

Brane-Slide Cosmology: Transient Brane-Contact, Quantum Entanglement, and Geometric Decoherence

Ayberk Yagiz

This preprint presents a unified entanglement-focused extension of Brane-Slide Cosmology. The central claim is that selected entanglement phenomena may be interpreted as the 4D projection of transient higher-dimensional brane-contact events. The manuscript develops the framework in a structured form: conceptual motivation, explicit axioms, effective equations, an effective 5D-to-4D Bell-sector construction, a geometric decoherence channel, comparison with ER=EPR, and a falsification-oriented prediction set. The distinctive technical claim of the manuscript is not that standard quantum mechanics is replaced, but that under the brane-contact hypothesis a separate geometric contribution to decoherence appears in addition to ordinary environmental decoherence. In the effective limit discussed here, that residual channel scales with the gradient of the local gravitational environment rather than with its magnitude. The document is written as a self-contained, timestamped research preprint and priority record. It is not presented as a peer-reviewed journal article. Its purpose is to place the framework, its mathematical structure, and its falsifiable predictions into the public record in a single integrated form. Main topics: transient brane contact, quantum entanglement, Bell correlations, geometric decoherence, braneworld geometry, ER=EPR comparison, and experimental falsification criteria.

R = Ψ × Φ: A Unified Theory of Reality, Consciousness and the Quantum Field

Sebastian Dahlström

We present Version 2.0 of the unified theoretical framework R = ΨQ × ΦQ, substantiallyrevised to address three fundamental technical objections identified in Version 1.0: (1)dimensional inconsistency between Ψ and Φ; (2) conflation of decoherence withwavefunction collapse; and (3) the inapplicability of classical IIT to continuous quantumfields. All three objections are resolved via the Quantum IIT formalism of Kleiner andTull (2021), which extends Tononi's Φ to density matrices via von Neumann entropy, and via explicit positioning within the von Neumann-Wigner interpretation of quantummeasurement. We further introduce three novel theoretical contributions not present inVersion 1.0: (A) Gates' error-correcting code in superstring theory is identified as themathematical signature of ΦQ maintaining R against decoherence — providing a newinterpretation of dark energy; (B) R = ΨQ × ΦQ is shown to resolve the EverettianMany-Worlds selection problem by providing ΦQ as the branch-selection mechanism;and (C) the theory is demonstrated to be self-referentially complete in the Gödeliansense — the only type of theory capable of explaining its own formulation. Thirteenpeer-reviewed empirical instances are retained and two new ones added. Threetestable predictions are formulated, one of which is immediately testable againstexisting datasets.

Hierarchical Consciousness Theory: Bounded Variance Constraint Falsification Test (Kevin Schminkey Independent Researcher, Big Fork, Minnesota, USA Preprint: January 17, 2026 DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18285812)

Kevin Alan Schminkey

Abstract Hierarchical Consciousness Theory (HCT) proposes consciousness as a primary ontological substrate whose only measurable physical action is bounded modulation of quantum decoherence variance. Earlier formulations established falsifiability through second-order statistical predictions in existing quantum and REG datasets. A rigorous audit, however, identified several structural weaknesses: undefined hive weights, implicit symmetry violations, numerological cycle claims, topology-dependent thresholds, and biologically implausible coupling assumptions. This paper presents a complete mathematical repair of HCT while preserving its single-constraint core. All symbolic or metaphysical quantities are replaced with operational, measurable proxies. Hive weights are derived from variance statistics alone; phase conservation is enforced through redistribution symmetry; Christ-percolation thresholds are made topology-dependent rather than fixed; temporal cycles are demoted to data-selectable eigenmodes; and grace coupling is redefined in terms of coherence time rather than organism lifespan. The result is a minimal, internally consistent, and experimentally decisive framework. HCT now stands or falls solely on variance fingerprints in public datasets.
