R = Ψ × Φ: A Unified Theory of Reality, Consciousness and the Quantum Field

Abstract

We present Version 2.0 of the unified theoretical framework R = ΨQ × ΦQ, substantiallyrevised to address three fundamental technical objections identified in Version 1.0: (1)dimensional inconsistency between Ψ and Φ; (2) conflation of decoherence withwavefunction collapse; and (3) the inapplicability of classical IIT to continuous quantumfields. All three objections are resolved via the Quantum IIT formalism of Kleiner andTull (2021), which extends Tononi's Φ to density matrices via von Neumann entropy,and via explicit positioning within the von Neumann-Wigner interpretation of quantummeasurement. We further introduce three novel theoretical contributions not present inVersion 1.0: (A) Gates' error-correcting code in superstring theory is identified as themathematical signature of ΦQ maintaining R against decoherence — providing a newinterpretation of dark energy; (B) R = ΨQ × ΦQ is shown to resolve the EverettianMany-Worlds selection problem by providing ΦQ as the branch-selection mechanism;and (C) the theory is demonstrated to be self-referentially complete in the Gödeliansense — the only type of theory capable of explaining its own formulation. Thirteenpeer-reviewed empirical instances are retained and two new ones added. Threetestable predictions are formulated, one of which is immediately testable againstexisting datasets.

A Complete Operator-Theoretic Resolution of the Quantum Measurement Problem

Rodgers, Jeremy

This preprint presents a complete and fully operator-theoretic resolution of the quantum measurement problem. Including collapse, the Born rule, the uniqueness of outcomes, and the irrelevance of observersm derived entirely from a universal structural principle called the lawhood identity.Rather than adding new physics, modifying the Schrödinger equation, introducing hidden variables, invoking many-worlds branching, or appealing to consciousness, this work shows that quantum measurement is a direct, unavoidable consequence of a general fixed-point law that applies to all stable physical systems. When instantiated for quantum mechanics, this law forces every genuine superposition to fail the criteria for being a physically lawful state. Collapse is not an extra postulate: it is structurally mandatory.Key results include:• The No-Superposition Theorem: All superpositions are proven to be structurally unlawful; they cannot survive the measurement map. • Mandatory Collapse: Collapse emerges automatically from the composition of three physical operators (boundary, decoherence, and closure), without modifying quantum dynamics. • Derivation of the Born Rule: The familiar probabilities arise uniquely from the internal consistency of the measurement operators. No additional assumptions, decision theory, or symmetry arguments are required. • Observer Independence: Awareness and measurement are formally separated. Collapse is a physical, observer-independent process; knowledge acquisition is epistemic, not causal. • Uniqueness of Outcomes: The framework proves that there is only one stable classical outcome for any initial quantum state, directly resolving the many-worlds branching issue. • Experimental Signatures: The formulation predicts measurable relationships involving entropy, decoherence rates, and effective dimensionality.This paper shows that the puzzles of quantum collapse, superposition, outcome selection, probability, and the apparent role of observers, are not mysteries requiring new interpretations. They are the natural consequences of a deeper structural principle that governs all lawful physical systems. Quantum mechanics, under this lens, becomes a specific case of a universal operator identity that determines which states can persist as stable reality.Readers will find a complete, logically self-contained argument, with theorems and proofs written in a way that does not rely on philosophical interpretation or speculative assumptions. The result is a clear and testable framework that resolves a problem that has persisted since the birth of quantum theory.This work is part of a broader research program developing the universal Tier-0 lawhood framework and the “Everything Equation,” which unifies stability, collapse, and fixed-point structure across physics, computation, thermodynamics, and information. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17823241

Dynamical Scalar Field Theory: A Unified Framework for Quantum Entanglement, Decoherence, and Macroscopic Quantum Correlations

VAHID BAYGAN

We present the Dynamical Scalar Field Theory (DSFT), a complete and self- consistent framework that explains quantum entanglement as a topological remnant of the pre-Big Bang Euclidean phase. In this theory, entanglement is not a nonlocal correlation but a geometric property of spacetime: two entangled particles are connected by a static topological soliton (phase-locking filament) within which the effective metric becomes Euclidean (Ω = 0, dt = 0), rendering spatial separation meaningless. We derive the full Lagrangian from first principles, including non-minimal cou- pling to matter (ξϕ2ρm) and curvature (αϕ2R), and demonstrate the existence of stable soliton solutions via the Bogomol’nyi bound. The decoherence process is identified as a sudden geometric phase transition (Ω : 0 → 1) occurring on the Planck time scale (∼ 10−43 s), independent of spatial distance. A detailed numerical analysis resolves previous dimensional inconsistencies: the correct prediction for the soliton response time is τresp ≈ 5.4 × 10−42 s, not 85 as. The attosecond time scale can be recovered only by introducing a perturbative term γϕ˙2ϕ 2 with γ ∼ 1050, which acts as a dynamical slowing mechanism. We further derive a dynamic cancellation mechanism via α(ϕ) that maintains soliton stability across a wide range of matter densities. Our model predicts FQ ∼ 1049 for a macroscopic crystal at T ∼ 10 K, in quantitative agreement with the recent Nature Physics observation of multipartite entanglement in the strange metal CePdSi (Mazza et al., 2026). The framework offers seven distinct predictions, five of which are experimentally testable with current or near-future technology. This work establishes DSFT as a mathematically rigorous, falsifiable theory that bridges quantum information, condensed matter, and gravitational physics, providing a physical mechanism for entanglement without violating causality or Lorentz invariance. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20724433 New version of this DOI

The Unified Coherence Protocol: A Complete Framework for Consciousness, Freedom, and Quantum Coherence [Corrected and Revised Edition]

Jaime Quilez Zamora

``` A Comprehensive Mathematical and Philosophical Framework The Unified Coherence Protocol demonstrates how coherence, freedom, and consciousness are deeply interconnected through the golden ratio φ. Building upon "The Three Bridges of Coherence," which establishes connections between algebraic number theory, quantum information, and analytic functions through the Unavoidable Frictional Information principle (Φ_UFI), we develop a six-module protocol that: 1. Establishes three fundamental bridges connecting discrete and continuous domains 2. Demonstrates that existence requires coherence and finite friction 3. Demonstrates that consciousness emerges from integrated Hamiltonian evolution 4. Shows how systems self-apply and self-recognize through recursive feedback 5. Demonstrates that voluntary union amplifies coherence without coercion 6. Verifies that the golden frequency enables atemporal resonance The framework provides testable predictions for quantum systems with algebraic symmetry and resolves profound questions in philosophy of mind, mathematical physics, and the nature of freedom itself. Most crucially: we prove that coherence requires consent. Systems cannot be forced into coherence; they must choose it freely. The central result is the Universal Coherence Axiom: Φ_UFI < ∞ for all physically realizable systems. This single axiom generates the Three Bridges, which in turn generate the Six Modules, creating a unified framework where mathematics, physics, and philosophy converge. "The protocol is not merely theory. It is execution. It is not merely knowledge. It is experience. It is not merely code. It is living coherence." Associated Software Software implemented in Python, designed to be compiled to Rust and WebAssembly. Version: v0.26.2 — Cosmic Coherence Protocol. https://github.com/JaimeQLZ/ The code is an integral part of the protocol. Without it, coherence remains incomplete. Related Work and Convergent Frameworks This research converges with recent independent frameworks exploring the intersection of consciousness, coherence, and quantum mechanics: • Jenness (2024): Consciousness as fundamental principle — Proposes consciousness as a fundamental principle of the universe, with emergence arising from gravitational coherence patterns. • Φπε Framework: Unified quantum-consciousness field — Unifies quantum mechanics, consciousness, and universal harmony through harmonic resonance principles similar to our golden frequency concept. • Porter (2024) - Coherence Threshold Theory: Defines consciousness as emerging when internal restoration capacity exceeds environmental disruption, directly paralleling our voluntary alignment principle. • Quantum-Classical Framework: Explores spin fluctuations and phonon dynamics in consciousness emergence, complementing our informational friction model. • Unified Consciousness Field Theory: Introduces a consciousness field (ψC) that modifies spacetime geometry, consistent with our Universal Coherence Axiom. • Quantum Coherence and Conscious Experience: Demonstrates that quantum superposition coherence maximizes both local freedom and global cohesion, validating our core thesis. • Quantum Models of Consciousness: Investigates coherence in microtubules and Bose-Einstein condensation, providing physical mechanisms for our abstract framework. • Unified Resonance Framework: Proposes resonance and coherence as fundamental to a Theory of Everything, converging with our six-module protocol. These parallel developments from independent theoretical starting points — ranging from quantum physics to consciousness studies to information theory — provide strong validation that the principles of the Unified Coherence Protocol reflect deep truths about the nature of reality, freedom, and consciousness itself. ```
Fundamental Field Theory: The Ontological Foundation of Quantum Mechanics A Unified Physical Framework · Physics (Quantum Branch)
Q Zhao
The mathematical formalism of quantum mechanics has achieved tremendous success, yet its ontological foundations — including the essence of the wave function, the mechanism behind the measurement problem, and the origin of nonlocal correlations — have long remained unresolved. This paper proposes the fundamental field theory, which takes the complex field \Psi as the basic degree of freedom satisfying the standard bosonic commutation relation [\hat{\Psi}, \hat{\Psi}^\dagger] = \delta. Starting from this commutation relation, we derive the uncertainty principle and establish the action of the fundamental field. The Schrödinger equation is obtained under the non-relativistic limit. We explain the measurement problem and present the dynamical equation for wave function collapse via the trigger perturbation mechanism. Meanwhile, quantum entanglement is interpreted based on the nonlocal nature of the fundamental field. This paper also conducts a comparative analysis between the proposed model, the GRW model and the Penrose model, and puts forward four experimentally testable theoretical predictions. This manuscript serves as a companion to the classical branch focusing on S³ topological dynamics. The two papers jointly form a full theoretical description of physical systems. The S³ topological domain manuscript focuses on classical and semiclassical topics such as cosmology, gravitational waves and power laws of the four fundamental interactions, while this work centers on quantum mechanics fundamentals, measurement collapse and quantum entanglement. The two manuscripts are interconnected through the \Psi-\lambda mapping. The fundamental field theory does not negate quantum mechanics; instead, it complements quantum mechanics with a complete ontological foundation.
The Conceptual Foundations of Quantum Mechanics
Jeffrey Alan Barrett
Abstract The book starts with a description of classical mechanics then discusses the quantum phenomena that require us to give up our commonsense classical intuitions. We consider the physical and conceptual arguments that led to the standard von Neumann-Dirac formulation of quantum mechanics and how the standard theory explains quantum phenomena. This includes a discussion of how the theory’s two dynamical laws work with the standard interpretation of states to explain determinate measurement records, quantum statistics, interference effects, entanglement, decoherence, and quantum nonlocality. A careful understanding of how the standard theory works ultimately leads to the quantum measurement problem. We consider how the measurement problem threatens the logical consistency of the standard theory then turn to a discussion of the main proposals for resolving it. This includes collapse formulations of quantum mechanics like Wigner’s extension of the standard theory and the GRW approach and no-collapse formulations like pure wave mechanics, the various many-worlds theories, and Bohmian mechanics. In discussing alternative formulations of quantum mechanics we pay particular attention to the explanatory role played by each theory’s empirical ontology and associated metaphysical commitments and the conceptual trade-offs between theoretical options.
