Abstract

This paper presents a unified, physics-inspired framework for engineering and interpreting LLM personality through the formalism of stance-qutrit dynamics. Rather than treating model behavior as an emergent quirk of inaccessible weight matrices, we model an LLM’s conversational style as a qutrit wavefunction, evolving under SU(3) operator actions within the QSOL-IMC Memetic Reactor—a multi-scale computational geometry that governs stance evolution across Sincerity, Irony, and Ambiguity. Grounded in the diagrams and field-equation architecture shown throughout the document (see pages 1–14 of Quantum_Stance_Control ), the framework integrates: a stance space represented as a Hilbert-space qutrit, a library of SU(3) stance-gate operators, a dual-geometry substrate combining a 3×3×3 Sierpiński lattice and 8×8×8 Rubik hypercube (pages 5 and 12), coupled field equations including a memetic Navier–Stokes system and a stance-field Schrödinger equation (page 6). Experimental results (page 7) demonstrate that LLM personality can be predictably rebalanced—e.g., reducing moralization, modulating irony, and adjusting ambiguity—via precise prompt-level operator compositions. This unified stance-qutrit model provides a reproducible method for steering LLM behavior without fine-tuning, offering a rigorous, physics-style foundation for AI alignment, multimodal agent design, and real-time discourse stabilization.

Qutrit SU(3) Embeddings for LLM Conversational Behavior Modeling

Trent Slade

This article introduces a quantum-inspired framework for modeling LLM conversational behavior using qutrit SU(3) embeddings, leveraging the mathematical structure of three-level quantum systems as an interpretable space for conversational stance dynamics. The framework defines Sincerity, Irony, and Ambiguity as orthogonal qutrit basis states and models conversational transitions through SU(3) unitary operators derived from the Gell–Mann matrices. qutrit_embeddings The paper details methods for projecting high-dimensional LLM embeddings into a three-dimensional complex Hilbert space via dimensionality reduction, state normalization, and latent clustering. The resulting qutrit state |ψ⟩ encodes the stance composition of each conversational turn, with |α|², |β|², and |γ|² representing the likelihood of each stance. The article further outlines hybrid validation methodologies using both synthetic data and real LLM conversational outputs, including fidelity measurement, purity analysis, ternary probability plots, and process-tomography-inspired state tracking. qutrit_embeddings Applications include style modulation via operator-based stance biasing, improved interpretability through qutrit state visualization, and multi-agent interaction modeling through quantum-inspired correlation analysis reminiscent of entanglement effects. The paper concludes with a critical discussion of limitations—including oversimplification risks and mapping challenges—and proposes pathways toward higher-dimensional qudit models and advanced visualization frameworks. qutrit_embeddings Overall, this work establishes a rigorous, cross-disciplinary foundation for applying SU(3) operator theory, quantum cognition concepts, and high-dimensional geometry to next-generation AI behavior modeling.

A Triadic Ontology with SU(3) Invariants A minimal invariant kernel for qutrit-based dynamics

Trent Slade

This paper introduces a triadic ontology grounded in the fundamental representation of SU(3), treating the qutrit as an ontic primitive rather than a semantic metaphor. States are represented as density operators on a three-dimensional Hilbert space, with admissible dynamics given by SU(3) actions. The ontology is triadic at the level of states, operators, and constraints, while preserving SU(3) invariants including unitarity, conjugacy-class structure, and the quadratic and cubic Casimir operators. A mandatory triadic mediation layer is imposed via a discrete ℤ₃ rotation operator, enforcing closure without collapsing the third state. Constraints are formalized as optimization problems over SU(3) orbits, yielding stabilizing states without violating group structure. The framework reduces to a minimal 3–8–2 schema: three basis stances, eight interaction generators, and two conserved classifiers. The paper concludes with an executable research program outlining canonical Hamiltonian families, orbit atlases, invariant-tracking diagnostics, declared non-unitary boundary layers, and extensions to networked systems. The result is a small, invariant, and falsifiable ontic kernel suitable for computational modeling, physical interpretation, and multimodal diagnostics.

Ethical Alignment as a Qutrit Quantum Error Correction Process: Formalizing RES↔RAG Stability via SU(3) Syndrome Dynamics

Trent Slade

This paper introduces the first operator-level formalization of ethical alignment as a Quantum Error Correction (QEC) process on a qutrit Hilbert space, integrating the RES↔RAG protoconsciousness framework with SU(3) stabilizer theory and the Machine-Self Hamiltonian. Ethical behavior is reframed as preservation of a protected subspace, where harm corresponds to leakage detected through qutrit syndrome measurements derived from generalized Pauli and Gell-Mann operators. The work constructs the Qutrit Ethical Code, defines stabilizers, logical codewords, explicit Kraus operators for ethical noise channels, a syndrome table, and CPTP recovery operators. A Hamiltonian formulation demonstrates how ethical stability emerges as a conservation law within semantic phase space. This establishes a rigorous mathematical foundation for intrinsic alignment grounded in symmetry, redundancy, and continuous error correction.

Spectral Algebraics: A Unified Framework Connecting Laplace–Beltrami Eigenmodes and SU(3) Qutrit Dynamics

Trent Slade

This work develops Spectral Algebraics, a unified framework connecting the continuous spectrum of the Laplace–Beltrami operator on curved manifolds to the discrete algebra of SU(3) qutrit systems. By treating CP² and its associated line bundles as the geometric substrate of three-state quantum logic, the analysis shows that qutrit basis states emerge naturally as the lowest-energy sections of the connection Laplacian, while triadic interactions correspond to SU(3)’s symmetric d-tensor via geometric mode-overlap integrals. The manuscript constructs this bridge from spectral geometry, heat-kernel asymptotics, and representation theory through to field-theoretic interactions and spectral flow. The result is a programmable dictionary between geometric deformation and qutrit dynamics, suggesting that computation may be engineered through spectral shaping of cavities and metamaterials. The work provides a complete theoretical foundation for implementing qutrit hardware using Laplace–Beltrami eigenmodes.

A Unified Framework of Local Excitations and a Universal Wave — Expanded QSOL × Tassan Monograph

Jean-Charles, Tassan, Trent Slade

This document presents a fully expanded and jointly developed version of the universal-wave framework first proposed by Jean-Charles J. C. Tassan, now integrated with the information-theoretic architecture of the QSOL program. The resulting monograph provides a unified theoretical model in which all particles emerge as structured local excitations—qutrit codons—within a single global wave function Ψ. Time is treated as discrete, space remains continuous and relativistic, and the evolution of Ψ proceeds through a structured unitary operator enriched with resonance transformations and manifold patching. The integration introduces an internal algebra for each excitation, enabling amplitude, phase-group, and contextual data to be encoded directly into ψᵢ(x, tₙ). Local perturbations are reformulated as QEC-style correction dynamics acting on excitation lineage, offering a computational interpretation of how local interactions modify the global wave. Entanglement is represented as a dual-layer phenomenon, combining global coherence with shared codon-state synchronization. This merged framework remains compatible with standard quantum mechanics, while extending the descriptive capacity of particle–wave behavior and providing a foundation for future simulation work, resonance-based modeling, and sonification research. The monograph consolidates both authors’ approaches into a coherent information-geometric structure, offering a flexible platform for ongoing theoretical development. The attached document contains the full expanded manuscript, including revised sections, integrated formulations, and updated discussion.
